Edited by: dev1lwoman on 08/11/2007 23:33:49 QUOTES BY ISS MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF THE ISS MANAGEMENT TEAM MADE THIS WEEK ON ISS FORUMS
Edited by: dev1lwoman on 08/11/2007 23:23:52
Quote: My Honest opinion, take it or leave it, boot out me out of the alliance if you will, but here is my say
ISS is full of freeloaders, who want the good times but when the bad times come around are no where to be seen, except on the market hiking the prices
I see in gangs the same very few faces time and time again (you know who you are, your reading this , those who dont participate are not reading this because they dont care).
I joined ISS because I took a break from the game, and when I came back I got a new character and saw a recruitment post from a old adversary that I respected, I thought i was joining a well run, motivated and organised corps/allaince
My corps (TKB) is dedicated and well run and totally focused, and that is why I stay, ISS as an alliance needs to get its act together. I am thinking about changing corps, TKB are great, but unless we as an alliance start working together, we are going no where.
I wuld much prefer a 200 man dedicated alliance, than what we have now, a 1500 man alliance with 1300 taking no real part and showing no dedication
Whatever happens in this war ISS will be a loser, BOB has their own interests to protect, and ISS are not among their proirities (we had to give up our stations, and BOB has shown they cannot protect us, look at the RISE situation). We should be looking at what is in ISS interests, no one elses. It looks to me as a simple member that we are being dragged along by BOB when we should be looking at what is best for us You want a proposal? here is a realistic one: 1.drop the dead weight in the alliance 2.drop out of the war 3.go back to empire and rebuild a solid base 4.rebuild on a PVP base, forget the isk for now, become a real fighting force first 5.ISS stay out of all politics in future, set our own aims and ambitions and screw everyone else
Now shoot me down in flames or boot me outta the alliance,
Quote: I completely acknowledge that falling outs of who owns which constellation will often lead to war, or when one alliance moves harshly against another then things will turn ugly from there.
Deaell Portt your very quick to jump in and say that this is the first ISS wardec, and that its a great tactical decision the count has made. Okay great based on what.
We are a smaller force spread out over many systems so there is no advantage there.....
We are not gaining any systems or resources in this war no advantage there..... Many are recovering from substantial losses in recent Battles and using the time between now and the 20th to recover ships and isk, wardec doesnt help with that so again no advantage.
Well after thinking about it the only people who really get an advantage from this is hmmmm IAC as they dont need to fly to fountain any more to run cowadly hit and run ops when they can now do this throughout empire.
One last point, Any alliance is made up of the collective time and efforts of all those people within it, me myself am new to the alliance but have spent all of my time and isk on ships and materials to move to fountain to defend the Alliances first claimed home, how many CEO's where consulted and asked if now was the right time to be committed to a war. Velox
Quote: The Nabaal Construction and Industrials Corp [NCIC] is being removed from the alliance for the foreseeable future.
Kaisair and I will continue to pursue our own ambitions. The other members of the corporation will be dissolved, and will be looking for new homes themselves, inside or outside ISS as they please.
Decisions were made. This is not a volentary departure, and it is not on good terms. Nothing more needs to be said.
We had some great times with the alliance. Feel free to drop us a message from time to time. We might get lonely out there in space.
Quote: ISSO is returning all IPO capital. The dividend paid today will be the final dividend paid. Shareholders owning more than 200 shares can contact Stins for direct repayment. ISSO will maintain a buy order on RESX to buy back all other shares. Ionia also volunteered to buy back the ISSO shares. Get in touch with her to transfer your shares to isk.
Ionia is offering to take your ISSO shares in exchange for his bonds which will pay 6%. Contact Ionia to obtain these 6% bonds.

Edited by: Wink on 09/11/2007 00:08:00 ISS died a long time ago when they lost the long time corps because of the mis-management and some corrupt leadership that existed. They killed it when they allowed the freeloaders and gougers to return and screwed the longterm corps that stuck around through thick and thin.
See at one point they actually had people that cared about not only the name of ISS but what happened to the ISS members. Once leadership showed that they were the ones that did not care about the members, that is when their fate was sealed for good.

hmm I found it interesting.... its always cute to read how alliances are falling apart from the inside.
Especially as its usually the same old problems rearing their ugly heads, lack of participation, lack of pvp pilots, poor leadership, poor political decision making, greed ... etc... etc... etc...
Its reassuring.

The phased-plasma torch made short work of the locking mechanism which separated Anexian from his goal. The reinforced tritanium doors began to slide open as his override algorithms took effect on the stationÆs computer systems. Alarms rang, and the corridorÆs lighting suddenly turned a harsh red as emergency systems were activated by his intrusion. ôDamn!ö he cursed under his breath as he dove through the door which stuttered in its attempts to simultaneously open and close, frozen in indecision. A moment later, it slammed shut with tremendous mechanical force and so too did the shielded blast doors behind it, completely sealing the storage bay from the rest of the station and nearly crushing Anexian in the process.
ôGuards! Guards!ö came the hoarse, frenetic call from inside the dimly lit, cavernous bay. Silhouetted against the harsh glare of the emergency floodlamps was an enormous figure frantically and pathetically gesturing into a console. It was nearly twenty-seven feet tall and and seventy-six tonnes of amorphous flesh, barely recogniseable as human. With great disgust, Anexian realised that the woman was naked - her ghastly blotched and freckled skin lit by the flickering dim blue light of the viewscreen.
With a grim smile which belied the unsteadiness he felt in his heart, Anexian at once strode towards the behemoth and drew his blaster, instantly obliterating the console with an antimatter charge. ôThereÆs no escaping now, Lady Scarlet,ö he growled, savouring the moment. Suddenly, with terrible resolve, he raised the weapon again. The bright flashes of light from his blaster began to blind his dark-adjusted eyes, as Anexian screamed a terrifying cry whose anger and desperate hope echoed off of the storage bayÆs walls as he fired again and again at the monster. Eventually, he depleted his ammunition reserves and it was then that fear struck into his heart: Over his screaming and the sounds of his blaster, the monster had been laughing. The mocking cackling was maddening.
ôPuny little man,ö the distorted, baritone voice boomed, a distinct note of amusement still present, ôI will make you my plaything now!ö Anexian shrank from the massive woman, clearly intimidated by her massive presence and the incredible physical toughness granted to her by her awesome bulk. With a terrible sloshing, Lady Scarlet began to move, heaving herself, an unstoppable juggernaut, towards Anexian. He scrambled for purchase against the slick metallic ground and dove away from her approach just in time to evade the wet smack of Lady ScarletÆs moist body impacting the blast doors behind him.
Anexian rose quickly and prepared for the worst. Instead, the storage bay was calm and quiet, the only noise was Lady ScarletÆs laboured wheezing, a result of her tremendous physical effort. She had wedged herself into the frame of the door and struggled feebly, futilely for freedom from it. Anexian summoned what remained of his shaken courage and began the final chapter of his final mission.
ôIÆve got you just where I want you,ö he said unsteadily, as he stood half-naked behind Lady Scarlet and activated his plasma torch. Lady ScarletÆs efforts to free herself doubled with the *****ling hum of the torchÆs blade. A mumbling sound came through the door û the guards were outside, and it wouldnÆt be long until they opened the door and were in the storage bay. Anexian would have no time to hesitate. With a blood-curdling shout, he charged into the bulk of the monster before him, hewing off great ribbons and chunks of cauterized flesh.
Lady ScarletÆs shrill screams slowly began to wear down AnexianÆs sanity and his efforts were intensified by his fear. It wasnÆt long until he had carved himself a path to his goal through the innumerable layers and folds of skin and flesh: an ovary. He activated his personal shield which fizzed and flickered as it held back the quivering flesh which sought to swallow the little man and oozed thick blood around him. Wisps of sickening, acrid smoke of burning flesh and blood began to slowly turn and coalesce in the still air of the bubble. Turning his head and grimacing in reluctance, he stabbed down into the white, egg-shaped structure of Lady ScarletÆs ovary. The walls shook with the shriek emitted by Lady Scarlet and the metallic echoes multiplied its horror.
Anexian fought back the nausea in his gut and unbuckled his pants. After a few unsteady strokes with fumbling, groping hands, he quickly entered the zone and was soon ready to complete his mission. As he guided his thickly-veined member into the jiggling hole he had stabbed in Lady ScarletÆs ovary, he closed his eyes and began thinking of better times. Thrusting rhythmically, his trained meditation and fantasizing brought him to distant times and locales, erotic, perverse and favourite places, away from the horror which surrounded him and assaulted his senses.

Edited by: Orangir on 09/11/2007 10:43:28 Soon, Anexian was at the moment of climax. With a triumphant grunt, he began to spasm and thick spurts of his payload erupted forth from his body into Lady ScarletÆs. The genetically-engineered macrovirus he had injected himself with had been successfully delivered, and quickly began its work with incredible speed. Dark purple tentacles erupted forth from the violated wound in Lady ScarletÆs ovary as the virus began cannibalizing the flesh around it.
Anexian staggered back and watched virus do its gruesome work. The tentacles pulsed and flexed, growing in girth and strength, and soon, the tentacles were thick and strong and plunged into other bits of the screaming, frantically struggling woman, where they sprouted new tentacles. Anexian grabbed his plasma torch and began hurriedly carving an escape route through the flesh which had buried him and abandoned his child to complete its task.
Suddenly, seconds after he had burst forth from Lady ScarletÆs body, the blast doors opened. The guards outside were greeted by Lady ScarletÆs naked girth literally pouring out to meet them, sprouting ever-increasing bouquets of tentacles and by the incredible animal sounds she had began making in her last moments of life. The virus had made its way into her digestive tract, and new eruptions of tentacles sprayed loose, gelatinous fecal matter in great spurts. As lesser men, the entire audience was instantly stricken mad and fled for their lives, dropping their tools and their stools in a headlong flight away from the monster.
Released by the doorÆs opening, Lady Scarlet made one last desperate heave towards Anexian, who, now feeling much lighter and confident, easily evaded her attack. With one hand on his remote and the other firmly grasping his member, he climbed up Lady ScarletÆs body and looked down into her helpless, wide eyes with vengeance and hatred. He closed his eyes and began stroking himself again, deaf to the gibbering pleas of the woman underneath him. Within moments, he delivered a decisive second payload of genetic material in thick ribbons into Lady ScarletÆs mouth and eyes, which slowly began to dissolve into her flesh and turn it purple.
Anexian gazed down upon what he had wrought and smiled the last smile Lady Scarlet would ever see. Backflipping off the womanÆs face, he magnetized his boots and activated his remote control. The bayÆs hangar doors began to open and the cacophony of Lady ScarletÆs gurgling and the computer systemÆs alarms was a triumphant symphony of victory as she was sucked out into the void of space, leaving only a half-naked Anexian standing proudly in the hangar bay, genitals flapping like a patriotic flag in the wind.

When I get the hankering for a round doughy thing, I just call one of my ex-wives or I go get a bagel
I just say no to donuts. Haven't had one in 9 years.
Back to the ISS thing, I really don't get them too good. I think they are good folks, I liked dealing with Serenity back in the day; now I don't really deal with them at all, unless I need to set standings for a new corp or drop standings etc. I don't pay attention much to their IPO's and all that, but they have always been super nice to deal with, cept when some of my guys ganked one of their haulers back in the day. I needed the fermionics that dropped too. Me boys popped the can because they had zero clue wtf it was.
That was fun
I think they should have stayed neutral to everyone, that was what they touted in the beginning. As a matter of fact, as impossible as it sounds, I would really like ISS to go back to their roots as a neutral entity beloved by everyone, no matter who, that makes isk for all comers via their IPO's and continuing support of the community at large, a place where all were welcome except proven hostile entities. It was a good thing for Eve in my opinion, and I am sad to see it go. Besides, I liked ganking neutral haulers

We were, but we are now running a NBSI policy in all space except Empire and Providence (where we respect CVA's claim and policying).
So, due to circumstances we are now not looking to change to a NRDS policy anytime, which saddens me since it was what made IAC somewhat special in 0.0

Originally by: Deaell Portt Ahh some PR at least. Mighty Goons saw us, spy us, stalking us :-). Why u dont quote what i say in that topic :-( or others pilots from ISS.
OK I will quote some of the other ISS pilots if you insist.
Quote: I think I speak for some of the alliance when I say we are tired of being told to fight fight fight with no end in sight. We now have no home and no prospects of having one in the near future. People are tired of being told to do stuff with no good explanation as to why or where it is going.
We gave up everything we fought very hard for. For what?? NOTHING
Maybe that is why only 7 out of 800 people show up to ops. How can you blame them? We all pay to play and to have fun and not all of us consider PVP fun. I had no problem with PVP when it was to defend our home but now that is a thing of the past, fighting for someone else to have a home or to just gain some extra space while we sit in limbo just seems a little pointless. Tons of pilots are losing isk and assets when we have no where to go to make that back.
So now we move again to another temporary system. Why?? so we can settle down and be told in a week or so that we have to move yet again. Forgive me please but I don't get it.
My hats off to Collos and Trentor for bringing this up since I know this is what most ISS people are thinking and just don't want to say it because they don't want to get flak from the higher ups or even worse a BLACK MARK.....(oh noes)
and:
Quote: I have plenty of black marks already. I am vocal about the alliance I am a member of, becuase I am part of it I believe I should have a say in its direction . I am expected to put my hard earned isk on the line for the alliance and in return I expect the alliance leadership to at least hear a point of view that differs from theirs,I am outspoken and often critical, but that does not mean I am not loyal
My concern is now is that we have forgotten about ISS and what we should/want to be doing, instead we are doing what ever BOB desires us to do, we are not a servant of BOB and we should start to make decisions SOLELY on wether they benefit ISS and its rank and file members.
IMHO we will get pushed back again and again from system to system as the war reaches its climax, ISS with no direction apart from stay with and support BOB will bleed members.
I said it before on these forums. It is time for ISS to take its destiny back. set an objective that is ISS's and go for that. and if that means going back to Empire to rebuild for a whaile than so be it, it is better than a slow death wandering space and someone elses beck and call.
I also appluad those ISS members above who have the courage to give a different point of view to the image projected by our leaders.
Need more? theres lots more ISS pilots who agree with the above

i won't speak for my alliance, but i personally am glad we are not. it seems to look ok on paper, but it is impossible to maintain, especially across so many regions. people exploit the nature of NRDS to discredit or provoke the alliance trying to maintain it and you just cannot please everyone. NRDS is a pipe dream in my opinion. it never works for too long.
plus, pvp is mo' bettah. and NRDS doesn't yield too many targets.

NRDS yield a good, living market though, something that everyone can benefit from, then you just need enough reds to make the pvp'rs happy. Neutrality however, will never work, I agree with you on that.

Here is a clue for the rank and file of ISS.
The leadership is trying to keep you in 0.0 space.
You clearly dont have the ability to hold any yourselves so they hope that assisting BOB will at least extend the period of time you remain in said 0.0.
The leaderships failing was letting the carebears into the alliance in the first place.
Kick the carebears out now, the only thing they will add to your alliance right now is a lot of complaining and stirring up trouble.
Its best to cut this out before it taints everyone.
If you dont like it, get used to empire, coz that is your next move.
Forget all this nonsense about setting your own agenda, the carebears have dragged you too low for that to be possible in any significant way.
Like a good many alliances before you and a good few after you this conclusion has been reached:
If your not prepared to fight for it, you wont have it. -

Hmm here's one for you, no asked you for any clues save them for your Corp ty.
The leadership is trying to keep you in 0.0 space.

Actually we are quite capable of holding are space, now whether we actually choose to or have a different Idea of what we will do, is all together different and thus the appearance as it may seem does not affect us although in earnest I may be misleading you or maybe not
The leaderships failing was letting the carebears into the alliance in the first place.
Once again you make an assumption for obvious reasons it appears you have no clue what your talking about as ISS started as an Industrial Corp, there fore removing the Carebears as you call them would also be like removing are leadership, witch I am happy to say will never happen, but keep going mate your on a roll, care for some butter?
Kick the carebears out now, the only thing they will add to your alliance right now is a lot of complaining and stirring up trouble.
I think I have already answered that one next!
Its best to cut this out before it taints everyone.
If you dont like it, get used to empire, coz that is your next move.
Your Insight is really remarkable, may be you should come and run the alliance, oh wait that right, I totally forget your to busy giving fly by the toilet seat advice well may be next time then
Forget all this nonsense about setting your own agenda, the carebears have dragged you too low for that to be possible in any significant way.
Unlike your fruitful comments here I donÆt see how we can get any lower unless of course you raise the seat
Like a good many alliances before you and a good few after you this conclusion has been reached:
Really I am so happy to hear that, I heard some one preach the gospel of how things are done correctly and he told his people, so because he wanted the very best for them, and he had them drink from the fruit juice of life in an old steel barrel.

Really ISS? Black Marks on your record? Do the seven pilots that showed up for your ops get Gold Stars?
But really, I still want to know what happens on the 20th...

LOL Like you know anything...every attempt to take Eso from us failed miserably. We left because our leaders told us to not because we had too.
So you honestly believe that you know better than Bob (heh at this point it's possible with their shot calling) when it comes to holding space? So you believe ISS would be able to stand up to the train down in Esoteria when every other pet fell so quickly?
I mean really. You REALLY believe that? Even when Bob doesn't?
Did some magic genie promise some backbone and a PVP fleet to you or something?

some of us understand a clear and present chain of command. and the value of following orders first and leaving the questioning and accountability for when the mistakes are made. no one is perfect.

it died from 11/15 until today, until. oh yeah, someone from iss started it up again.
so um, your alliance won't let the thread die. unlike your alliance's plethora of public ventures (share offerings / ipos). solid liquid |

I didn't want to post in this dead thread about a dead alliance but ISS insist on keeping this thread alive.
So what you are saying is that you still control Eso? If this is the case then you should be promoted for your tactical genius.
In reality if you thought that you could hold Eso why didn't you stay and defend?

actually not quite right. i know, you weren't there so let me fill you in. it's quite simple really.. and a little embarrassing. you see, Leo was chasing carebears around eso antagonizing them and inadvertently tripped over the alliance main power cord. it took us a while of stumbling around in the dark before someone found it and plugged it back in.. since we're assuming alliances, with a significant price tag just to have, turn on and off with a switch.
about the ipo stuff, not my style. not much to say about it. ask someone that was involved with any of those things. i know it's significant enough that something about it has a permanent place in eve history. i think i saw your name in there too.. no wait, i was mistaken. my bad.
(edit: /defibrillator i know. i didn't have the heart to let the little guy die. he's been through 4 long hard pages.)

Edited by: Kadriel on 20/11/2007 22:42:45 The idea of ISS doing anything on their own (other than losing spaceships ,stations and systems) makes me laugh. ISS has been a joke of alliance since at least mid '05 (when I came to know of their existance). I miss shooting the unescorted haulers w/ no stabs or bookmarks of old. As to ISS holding their space and noone taking it from them, I can help explain that.
ISS 'owns' their space, and they'll hold it against all odds!! So, when an enemy comes to take it from them, they instantly decide they don't want the space anymore and instantly "vacate"/waive their claim to the space. So, they have a perfect record of holding their space and have yet to lose any of it! ISS ARE INDEED POWERFUL!!!!!
P.S If anyone believes that ISS are still a powerful and important alliance in Eve, I have some land to sell you. I have a lovely bridge for sale!!!

The 20th marks the day the steamroller is taken out of reverse and put into first gear. Do not expect a lot, it has been in reverse a long time. In fact, expect it to roll backwards for some time to come, y'know, inertia, etc.
But after that, look out, BoB is gonna lay down the law....Rens 911, look out.
