I have used Hardin in at least two other MMOG.
The name comes from a character in Isacc Asimov's Foundation series (a great read for anyone into Sci-Fi).
I picked Hardin as I liked the character and his quotes including:
* "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."
* "Nothing has to be true, but everything has to sound true."
* "It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety."
* "A fire-eater must eat fire even if he has to kindle it himself."
* "To succeed, planning alone is insufficient. One must improvise as well."
* "Only a lie that wasn't ashamed of itself could possibly succeed."
He was the First Mayor of Terminus, and owner of the Terminus City Journal. He became dissatisfied with the isolationist policies of the Encyclopedia Trustees at a time when the Periphery was becoming increasingly fragmented politically and economically.
After siezing power in a bloodless coup, Hardin steered the Foundation towards a measure of security through playing the interests of the neighbouring Kingdoms against one another, and enabled a smooth transition from pseudo-scientific backwater to a fully-functioning society in its own right.

My name isn't my "given" name as such. I adopted it in memory of the of the midsummer festival held on my homeworld. As the sun sinks in the sky it turns a beautiful azure colour. At this time, everyone disrobes and the celebrations resume.
Skyclad is just an expression for being naked. "Wearing the Sky"

my name started off about 4-5 years ago when it was just plan dark in chat rooms, the messiah part was all down to my boss at work calling me messiah after the life of Brian (my real name), then i combined the two.

Well my first name is based on my all time favorite historical character i.e. Alexander the great.
The surname though comes from Richard Rahl out of Terry Goodkinds Sword of Truth series. Mainly chose Rahl because in the books Richard follows a set of ideals and morals about life that I have followed for years without realising it.
Anyone who has read the books knows what im talking about especially book 6 called "Faith of the Fallen". Recently found out that the philosophy is called "Objectivism". Anyone interested in it should look up an author called Aynn Rand. nuff said

The name originates from a government sponsored comic book (propeganda) during world war II, and I have used the nick in a handful of games (Wish, Savage Eden, Earth and Beyond, Red Faction, Motor City Online, Dark Ages of Camelot, Starcraft (wooh!)) in one form or another.....

Been using "SKiNNY" since oktober 1993 on the internet and also in the dutch airforce it was my nickname. Somehow SKiNNY didnt work when creating this char, so i used my secondary nickname SKiNNiEH which sounds the same when spoken, but it spells a little bit towards faulty dutch :)

Babs Johnson is the name used by drag queen Divine in John Waters' early 1970's cult film classic Pink Flamingos. Babs lives in a mobile home in the woods outside Baltimore with her friend Cotton, her delinquent son *****ers, and her morbidly obese mother, Miss Edie, who is so huge she spends all her time in a child's play pen in her underwear eating eggs. Miss Edie eventually marries the egg delivery man at Babs' birthday party.

Another scene has Babs shoplifting a steak by hiding it between her legs under her dress and walking out of the butcher shop.
The film's plot, to the extent there is one, centers around the competition between Babs and the Marbles to be the filthiest people alive. Babs wins the competition by executing the Marbles after a trial attended by tabloid reporters, and then she seals her win by eating a dog turd on camera.

well, I have a great interest in anglo-saxon history, so decided to make a name in the old anglo-saxon language.
Gudh = war
lyft = flight/air
as for the first name, well, my name is david, so I was going to use daffit. but something went wrong with the setup, so I had to make a new character....eric is a comman name in my family, so I used that.

Zephrim was the name I used first in EQ as a Erudite Necromancer. After a change in my network fubar'd my EQ experience, I switched to AC. In AC on the Frostfell shard, Zephrim was a Sho Life Mage. Following to AC2 again on Frostfell, the Zephrim there was a decendant of the AC Zephrim and was a Ranger / Craftsman. Deciding AC2 was one big lie, I started EvE and used, naturally, Zephrim; now a Minmatar Miner / Tradesman. When / if I go to Dragon Empires I'll do the same thing provided I can get in early enough to use it.
Unfortunately, college and other RL sundries keep me out of the game world so often I never have time to make a name for him.
