Quote: Any citizen with half a brain can understand that the freedoms that let us wear translucent clothing aren't exactly looked on favorably elsewhere
Now, I'm sure anyone here can go make an Avatar for a Female Gallente character who appears to be wearing transparent plastic as a "shirt". Normally the Character Portrait doesn't go far enough to expose anything, but in Ambulation, with full body models... Yeah
What is going to happen about that..?

As the WRITER of said Chronicle, I can actually provide something of an answer here. If you look at the Quafe ads in the Gallente pleasure stations or occasionally on the billboards, you'll notice that the "translucent" outfit choosable in character creation actually has strips that cover up the really naughty bits. So if the outfits make it into ambulation, they won't get the game an AO rating.
That said, I believe Torfi mentioned that Fanfest that a lot of the costumes were being reworked by an actual costume designer, and he showed off a few concepts, including a Gallente woman, in something a little less ridiculous. So it's very possible the current perspex dresses may go the way of the dodo come Ambulation. -----

I'm disappointed, in a cold cruel hard sci-fi MMO where the averager player is 20+ (according to devs), we're gonna get a kiddy cop out? It was having the balls to let eve be a elitist and brilliantly difficult game to get into that made me fall in love with it, it's flacid decisions and changes to boost playerbase irrespective of experience that are making me look about for another game :(

No, but when I tried it got rid of an annoying stiff spot in my back that I'd been trying to clear for an hour. Thanks. - The game is not the problem. The problem is that you are not adapting to the game.

Anyone remember a couple of news stories from 2004/5 or so, featuring a Gallente gonzo journalist? One was about BPOs, and it described how he protested some changes by wearing a suit made of translucent blue BPOs, with a gap leaving his genitals exposed.
So you never can tell with those crazy Gallente liberals.

Reminds me of the time in local when a guy was complaining how absolutely crap Eve was when it took him two hours to fly from the gate to the station... he hadn't discovered how to warp yet.

I tried very hard to break the mold when it came to designing a Civire female. I don't see many players choosing the "red" hair option for Civire women. Alas it still looks like we all "hail" from the same tribe of Amazons.
Achura women are all clones...it would seem. Achura men all strike me as looking like "Dr. No" from the James Bond movie.
Much more variation is needed with all the avatar options.
