Yeah. Plus it seems to have become lighter coloured (although I'm going by screen shots atm) with tacky red stripes. Looks like a toy. It would be better if it was matt black with dark red stripes. At least then it would look menacing.
Overall I think the improvements are good (so well done, CCP) but one or two ships seem to have got a raw deal.

Minmatar ships suck now ... They have glowing bits here and there, but the hulls got much worse: Scythe/Scimitar, Stabber/Vagabond, Wreathe/Prowler are all uglier now.

Sadly i must agree on some parts, the 'black' ships have now all turned into a darkish grey with red striping.. RED STRIPING ON THE ROOK, NH, AND FLYCATCHER??? WTF IS UP WITH THAT???
ccp remove teh red striping and make the overal color more blackish, kthnx.

I'd say the top looser is the Dominix in my eyes. The model is pretty bad but i've gotten used to it over the years but i now i also have to get used to flying the dominix with hello-kitty-online paint job... I would SO have the dock personnel strung up for such sabotage! 
Ahh well looks are not everything but I have to say i was pretty disappointed by nearly all t1 gallente ships... the pink and baby blue (well pink is lighting-dependent but baby blue anyway) was pretty terrible. I think my little sister (age 10) could have found two colors that more people would have found "cool" then the two colors that CCPs art department came up with...
sorry for the bashing but i think it wouldn't have been hard to do a better job... oh well.. i'll wait and see how it looks under DX9 (though the baby blue really is giving me the creeps).

Hyperion. Not so much the colour as I think the Domi now looks pretty good and the mega very smart indeed. The Hype though seems washed out now, IMO the classic model has more detail!

I was kind of surprised at the Hype as well and kinds thought it looked, well, less somewhow than its classic version. But then I am not intimately familiar with the Hype (seen them around of course and had a look but not stared at one for hours because I was flying it) so thought it best to keep my mouth shut.
Not that it looks bad now. Just that it didn't seem to get any bling with the new graphics.

Due to increased station size, everything smaller than a bs sits in the docking ring thing [in a conquerable at least] which means that the lack of detail in the ring itself becomes apparrent....to the extent that it looks crap.
HDR without AA sucks aesthetically; disabled it and am running full aa etc instead, no bloom and the like, but smoother. EDIT: Using a radeon x1950pro (512mb), was playing with full aa etc turned on and thought what the hell, let's see what happens when I turn on hdr (..and prepared to reinstall my sisi client lol). So far it seems to be working, HDR, full bloom, extreme shadows, max AA, AF etc, looking sexier
What's with all the cyan on gallente ships? It works on a couple, the megathron springs to mind, but looks ridiculously crap on others such as the domi, thanatos and thorax. Erebus used to be a really nice deep blue, now it looks dull, grey and some large areas of the sides of the model look less detailed, why?
Apparently all the black ships have been abducted and subjected to the Michael Jackson treatment to varying degrees. Shame on you CCP! Bring back the shiny blackness.
Amarr....seems gold is now beige. Abaddon looks crap as a result, not particularly reminiscient of the first glimpse we got of it in a trailer ages ago, all gleaming and golden. Geddon also looks a little washed-out, closer to the current apoc colouring than the tq geddon. Retribution looks nice and gold though, why reserve it for an AF? Trying to make people want to fly them? ;P [oh and what's with all the lovely shiny green vanishing from the malediction?]
Minmatar....vaga looks sleek and sexy on tq; on sisi it looks bulky and rusty, cheers, nice one. :/

Its probably my most flown ship since it came out. When I logged into sisi the Hype was my primary ship so popped into existence, I must admit I looked at it for what seemed like an age wondering why my screen was so.. wrong. Then i changed ship to cycle through them, ya know take a sneak peak etc and realised it was just that one ship
Ahwell, since the gal "re-design" stats wise I've jumped in the NH etc and will give Caldari a chance again, have to admit they made the cal ships pretty funky now.

Being a Raven pilot myself I¦m a bit put of by that frontal extension. In the old Raven you have some small lights there that make it feel like some sort of bridge. In the new model the lights are gone and you have what looks like a huge frigate type of one person cuckpit windshield. This disvirtuates the Raven¦s size totally versus smaller ships. I mean, its a battleship, not a frigate!

Was only able to view the Stabber and Hurricane. Last one looks nice, the Stabber however still has one bug, a new engine plume right above the main engines. Now it looks rather ugly and I hope this will be fixed in the final release version.

I have to say... I don't like the new Sleipnir :(
It looks like it's made of lego. Lego that's been dragged through mud. :(
I like the majority of the rest of the stuff though. The Bhaalgorn could do with being deeper red, doesn't look like blood anymore. The Vagabond looks a bit odd, but I'll get used to it. All the Amarr ships look awesome. The Mega (particularly the Vindicator variant) looks amazing.
