Don't flatter yourself with self-bravo over saying such a sentence about the baby blue and me getting over it. Take a very good and close look at what everyone else is saying and quite frankly and bluntly, they ALL say it's baby blue in the majority. So, it's not only just me. So, do yourself a favor and read what everyone else wrote in various threads in order to avoid uttering such invalid statement.
And I agree, new colors can give a new feel...IF done right with the right colors.

Just to point out about the bit bout how many people (ALL) say its baby blue and how savage the colour is, atm it stands with more NAYs than AYEs with the added bonus of the hardcore haters who despise the colour and i accept that. Just dont use 'ALL' as a comparison, because it really isnt true

I used that sentence for exactly the reason that not everyone calls it baby blue but a majority of those that objects to the colors, "all" called it baby blue.

Did a raven on megathron test fight on sisi today and it's the biggest argument yet to change the gallente colors....they look like they're on the same team!
FTR, I lost to the mega, but it was literally by a smidgen. Both in hull, another half a second and the finishing volley of torps would have killed him too. 'Twas a good fight with an honorable pilot. Thanks Harcole! =)

Aye, change that crap blue color. Maybe it looks great on super high end systems, but on the average system... it looks like crap. I will not be upgrading to the new graphics until A) it is fixed B) we are allowed to change the color ourselves on the client side.
CCP, I know you love your faction ships and t2 ships and they are beautiful, but please... please... please... pay more attention to the tech 1 stuff people fly all the time. What happened to the beautiful images of the reworked vex and dominix? All dark and sinister, slightly smoothed out, like a beast from the abyss. I cannot fly that ship when it looks like a Green Peace vessel.
I could rant on and on about this. How about some humor instead?
Gallente Navy .... it's about as threatening as UN Peacekeeping forces.
The new dominix ... even Martha Stewart wouldn't say it's a good thing.

I thought the new expansion would be great, graphically etc, from pic's I've seen it's bloody depressing shades of grey, greyish blue crap, and the gallente ships are bloody awful. Could you please rethink your colour scheme and try some different more vibrant colours than this absolutely boring uninspiring drab what the fu ck were you thinking color scheme

Wasn't going to add to this thread, but I can't sleep.
Anyways, the models seem well done from what I've seen, many of the ships look fine and there are a few stragglers that just look.. well.. ghey.
I understand CCP wanted to link racial ship tiers via colours, but I hope they realize that a pastel blue isn't the best choice. If only they darkened it a bit, particularly on ships that have a lot of it, I think most people would stfu.
I don't think it unfair to critique art direction choices, provided the critiques aren't OMGWTF!!11!YOUSUK!
I didn't think I'd like the Phobos at all; yet I think it looks pretty good, colour included. They've balanced the red/pink with the rest of the ship. However, the Domi, Vexor, Obelisk and Vexor now look effeminate for no other reason than CCP wanting to easily and simply link tech level with race types. Fair enough, they just picked the wrong color then used it too liberally, imo.
At least we don't have the same issues as the Vaga. LOL.

CCP needs to change the colours on the gallente ships. Definitely have to.
They are simply not Neon Manga Disco enough!
I want glowing yellow, bright magenta, radioactive green with the bright blue.
There need to be translucent shiny glass panels on the ships and they have to glow in the dark.
IMHO this would fit better to how the gallente architecture and way of life is described in the chronicles. Dark and sinister isn't displayed on the surface, it's all bright distractions on the surface, the sinister is hidden underneath it. Like a mace with a smiley head.
(This post is half serious. While the proposed colour scheme would be fitting to the gallente descriptions, it also would make quite a few people wither and die looking at it, which would be a violation of several international treaties and thus is not an option for CCP to implement. BTW I like the new colour, it might just do with looking less like cheap turquoise and more like expensive turquoise.)

Well alright, after flying some Gallente ships on the test server now I come to like the new blue. It really only looks "baby'ish" (and that's really horribly exaggerated and doesn't do the ships any justice) when docked, as soon as you undock it looks pretty damn good. The Dominix could do with a little less blue imo, but the other ships are fine, really. I will still fly my Thorax, Celestis & Megathron, as they still look badass.
Unless of course you don't undock ... ever. Where I have to ask myself why you would want or deserve a badass looking ship at all.

It's not about debating, it's about pointing out the oblivious amount of people disliking the baby blue colors other than me and the whole lots giving a why behind their dislikes. So if you can stop riding my arse and start seeing things with a bigger view across the board's many forums and threads about the baby blue, then you will see that I'm merely the one giving people a chance to have a voice about it within this thread and backing up other people's baby blue threads else where. Don't like it? Then don't bother coming to the forum and reading comments because "heaven forbid" you will find something you dislike and wreck the way you see the world of EVE-online.
