And the Viator is now a dull brown and has lost the headlights  how can they do that to that lovely shiny green finish?
And orange and brown mining vessels yuk! it's pretty boring looking at them at the best of times, at least make mining ships a little more pleasent/easier on the eye.
And boy I didn't think the Raven could get uglier!
The Retribution! I love it totally OOT, how an Amarr ship should be. Unlike the tatood Anathema that is just silly from what was a cool black finish.
But overall I love the new look, just needs some tweaking on some ship models.

So... extra plates... extra windows... odd colors... what's the point?
They don't really look better.
They don't function better.
I would rather CCP have spent the time unnerfing Amarr, or just getting rid of Amarr and giving us a respec.

I don't think anyone complained about the golden hulls before, why change it then?

People could also state you could spend your time rather skilling amarr and learning to fly them properly than whining about them, cause they are some seriously nice ships.
Except maybe the recons, they got hit too hard.
On the golden color, the new color lacks shineyness, the old colour was far to comic-gold-like, something in between would be perfect.

Some of the new ships seem to have lost their flair with the new models 
Abso, Brutix, Raven and some other ships now look very monotonic colour-wise.

Yeah, the reason why Amarr ships are a bit more brown is because the Artist relised that Amarr ships should follow their in-game competitiveness, and therefore the Artist worked from this model

Yeah, I know, someone's going to come along and say "it's personal perspective you evil troll!". No. There is a difference between saying something "looks rubbish/bad/like poo" and "I don't like it". SOmething can look good or bad in terms of quality, whether you like it is up to you - but it changes nothing in terms of quality.
Also, there isn't a single "brown" Amarrian ship - and certainly not **** coloured ones either. The default is more like a beige/cream. Saying that they are brown is a complete overexaggeration of the truth.
Secondly, they look good as they are. They look BETTER than the old ones. The quality is higher - the style is better!
And in fact, plastering the Amarrian ships in pure gold WAS done - if you look at WIP Trinity screenshots - and I can tell you, it doesn't look as good as what they do now, trust me.

I like the new look of the Amarrian ships alot myself. The old gold was neat, but realistically didn't make too much sense, at least at the scale we saw it. The Amarr Empire is huge, and old. They have countless ships, some of which have been in service for what, centuries? These are old, reliable warhorses that have seen action. On top of this, the vastness of the Empire (and the huge number of ships it would need to produce to police and protect it) means that the ships are not going to be elaborately decorated, especially not gilded bow to stern. The new look screams "utilitarian" while at the same time is stylish enough to hint that there is something more to them than simple efficiency. I think its a good compromise.

I suppose since CCP nerfed my gold chrome fleet, I'll have to switch over to a black fleet. Khanid ships possess too much awesome to be subject to visual nerfs.

Since it came straight after my post I'm assuming that the ship in question is the new Prorator (which means no guns and pepperoni fo the pew-pew brigade). If so I'm glad that the Prorator is the sexiest ship in the game. But even if the Prorator looks the same as it always did, it's still better looking than just about every other ship out there. Sexy transport ships is the whole reason why I became a hauler. Even the Minmatar ones look good.

Every damn ship looks tons better than before, YES even the gallente ships. Because they are not pink, its the reflection, idiots. 
As for the amarr ships, i dont see how they could possibly look better. If you are so damn desperate for shiny omg gloow, just put on Bloom ffs!!

seriously come on guys, amarr has some of the coolest looking ships in the game, i think the whole "we don't have cap to fit a proper tank and power our turrets" has undoubtedly gone to your heads.
and it's true that you guys need the cap boost thingie.. but this whole rant.. is not full of win.
the whole spectrum of ships of all races have been changed and imo they all look great, they just don't look the way they used to look, but by all means if u want things to just stay exactly the same, then just run the old version of the graphics. no harm no foul.
the ships you got now look amazing, and u'll get balanced with the fitting thing if it fits with the overall balance sooner or later, which it just might.
but go out and enjoy your ships, especially when trinity launches the 5th, well actually the 6th to be entirely accurate, dt and all that. and quit this nonsense. you probably haven't even been out of the system you got moveme'd to in trinity on sisi yet, to see the variations either in different systems. seriously, you'll appreciate it.
