Coffee prepared (and imbibed) hot is glorious nectar. Coffee prepared (and imbibed) cold is a delight on hot days.
It's that lukewarm/cool middle temperature that makes you wince when you drink it. |

Us Americans just go for it, and 'drown' the tea in ice cubes. Always. |

I think it best that we agree to disagree, good sir. I don't wish to quarrel with you over something trivial.
I do agree, however, that a lukewarm beverage is just not cricket.
Why-ever would you prepare cold coffee, though? Isn't it supposed to be served hot?
If I were ever served cold tea, well, I should have to give my butler a bloody good talking to!

Not only do we add ice to it....
We put it in cans with lemon and sugary flavorings and REFRIDGERATE it.
Then, pour it over ice.

We shall have to send you a strongly worded letter expressing our dismay at this behaviour, sir!

I can sound posh, it's just something that is hard to do on TS3, since I already automatically switch my accent considerably, and even then it comes through.
Putting on the poshness also needs a concious effort.
We ay used to 'i araand ea'!
(for the people not familiar with my local accent/dialect, say it exactly as is, it's a phonetic spelling, that's how I say 'we're not used to it around here') |
