As far as GD threads go, the aggression survey thread is pretty good. He linked it into google docks, results all charted out. Grain of salt though, it is a GD thread Results may vary heh. A catastrophe would need to happen (e.g. Summer of rage) to get a better sampling of the various player-base of the game. But we have the GD opinion going there |

Any site you go to, it's very simple to find out your OS and IP, then drop something like a root kit (full control) through the vulnerability that M$ refuses to patch. It's just hacker bait, not even a "maybe", it'll get hacked for certain. In fact there was a huge vulnerability, and M$ wasn't going to fix it, but they did one last time this month. So, it's just a ticking bomb at this point, any moment... BOOOM! |

Yeah, I guess there is some release state coming next week, some level of minor game play as part of some module phased release. Either that or it'll get delayed again, but currently scheduled for next week. So I've seen some shenanigans going on about it, and at least one saying he canceled EVE etc. making a scene. The end is nigh, Gray, so much hype the Earth is being filled with hot air and it'll all float away. We are destroying teh wurld with our intolerant caution and/or disinterest.

Important thing is to keep the system updated. Other than that, depends on internet habits. I don't use AV on my laptop. Oh wait... it's Linux, I don't really need to heh.

I could probably defend an XP system to a certain point, but it's a waste of time and research that I'd rather be doing other things with such time. About the only way to run XP with some level of safety is from a virtual machine, running out of another OS. Other than that, disconnecting from the internet. About it. |
