Well it's more tracking vehicles via GPS. Although ethically one could say it's bad since the driver is also being tracked.

That's not a problem. I just want to know if you know of any, google is always an option but then again the most well known ones cost so much more than the rest. |

Has to do with a fleet of buses in a city, in an attempt to increase quality of service to the customer, and allowing faster travel time on the fly, by skipping areas of severe traffic congestion without missing bus stops; possibly relaying live bus information to selected customer services in an attempt; to show the bus' travel live, the stops it'll be be at, if there are any delays, and allowing customers unfamiliar with the city to pick a destination and have the live info of the bus they need to get and it's available stops in relation to their current area. Along with some engine changes to help with fuel costs, carbon emissions and reducing maintenance costs.
Effectively making the bus service more reliable, and on time, while saving costs and being more environmentally friendly in the consumption of fossil fuels. Which if successful, should theoretically become an incentive to rely more on cheap public transport in the city, reducing the need for cars, which cause even more traffic congestion and carbon emissions. Couple that with the public rent a Bike to work scheme( also available to travel in the city), and electric trams; is all to make the city cleaner of air pollution, traffic congestion and boost income of the public transport system. Therefore allowing the service to be improved upon further.
Hmm, I think that can sum it up without getting technical.

Yeah, Dublin is a mess and once you go to it's outskirts or towns around it you can sometimes end up waiting at a bus stop for 30+ minutes without knowing what's going on. Usually caused by traffic problems, accidents or just bus engine problems. Letting the customer know what's going on makes everything better, along with the other improvements.
The main argument I've had against it is " well so far everyone has gotten on fine, so why bother? And how is giving a better customer service going to make or save money?"

That's the problem with a lot of the hair colours I think. It's hard to get some natural tones. |
