I was just out to have some fun with Fern and try something different. Seriously didn't even think we'd get that close to killing one! If I had a couple more Cerbs pretty sure I would have got it right then next try. Fern's theory was spot-on, just my piloting skills not that amazing. To even get one down to 30% armor felt awesome for all the reasons I mentioned. I was happy, wasn't out to prove anything really, though it did prove that the time spent by pilots like Ferni produces real info that you can use to fight Drifters and win. Nobody cares about that real-info though, they'd rather spend all day bickering about it, talking about some autopsy, yelling "the end is near!" and sending out big fleets to welp into Drifters. shrug All power to them. But hopefully by sharing our little experience with them along with the maths we learned it'll help show how possible it is for one pilot to grab a few ships, go out and learn to kill a Drifter solo with a few hours practice. But it probably won't, everyone will just go back to praying and sending fleets out or reporting seeker sightings or w/e. We had a fun night. Proved to myself I could (almost!) do it and proved that Ferni knows Drifters better than anyone else. I doubt I will personally go chasing Drifters again just yet, but I'm glad I had a try and and really grateful Ferni allowed me along and gave me the tools I needed to almost pull it off. Another awesome little eve experience. µä¢ -+en-òar-à

But I would never claim to know everything about them. I just know an amount reasonable enough to predict their actions. And subsequently shoot them.
