Americas (Nord, Middle and South): 44.7 % Europe incl. Russia: 48.6 % Asia, Pacifica and Africa: 6.7 %
Also interesting:
English speaking countries: 65 % Others: 35 %

Hate to say it, for any anti-globalization folks, but a world currency would save a lot of trouble for international trade and commerce.
Whether it's the low value of the US dollar, or the artificially low value of the Chinese yuan, problem solved if we have one world currency.
As for those who call for deliberately inflicting a recession on the US...
1. Notice the shocks in other countries' stock exchanges when there's talk of a recession in the US - if the US goes, the rest of the world goes down the drain with it.
2. If the US ever becomes unable to pay its debts, the international banking system will collapse overnight. We have a saying here - if I owe the bank 1000 dollars, I have a problem. If I owe the bank a trillion dollars, the bank has a problem... ------------------

Originally by: Shandelzare before you continue arguing about gdp and which is doing better, Europe or USA, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
One of the things is missing on that list is debts by the people and not the goverment, the US debt isn't a big issue by itself. But when you factor in credit card debts etc. it gets problematic.
Also the European countries listed there are only the countries which use the Euro, so Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden and the United Kingdom aren't included.
And more importantly, figures from 2006 doesn't really say much about the current situation now does it... ---

You European types leave us poor U.S. *******s alone.
Our country is run by corrupt warmongering polititians who are driving our currency through the floor on the world stage. So the cost of a lot of the stuff I buy (mainly European metal music/merch) has gone WAY up, and we can't travel abroad to visit all the superior countries because it's become too expensive. Trust me, I'd trade the situation in a heartbeat. I'd much rather have a stable economy and a country that isn't in debt up to its' eyeballs and pay a little more (comparatively) for a luxury like a video game.
It could be worse, GWB could be your President, or Prime Minister

Actually, it's an intentional move - allowing the dollar to slide down - because of the artifically low value of the Chinese yuan.
This actually helps the US, and messes with everyone else. And I know this happens because I took economics, and I'd explain it to yea' - but I flunked that course. Not my fault. They taught it at 8 o'clock in the morning. And there is absolutely nothing you can learn out of one bloodshot eye. ------------------

I dont think the global market is done with its commentary on currency yet.
The above poster is correct in stating that a deflated dollar is not a completely bad thing. even WITH the slumped dollar, it is still the most stable market around. Like it or not, that says a lot about other markets when we can f*ck around and still be an economic barometer.
Maybe we should go back to accepting gold or silver.

I respectfully request that CCP enact a plan to allow players to compensate for game time with beer.
/me wonders how much it would cost to ship 20 cases of beer to Iceland from California... -=^=-

Originally by: Akita T I wonder how many USA players EVE has, I have this nagging suspicion it's not such a huge number. Also, I wonder how many "USD" payers would quit if subscription price would be raised to 18 USD from 15 USD.
Actually 73,301 for 39.5% of the playerbase
The next largest is the UK on 15.4%, Germany on 7.6%, Russia on 4.9%, Canada 4.9%, Australia 3.1%
Think of it this way, they either have to deal with getting less money, by dropping their subscription rates in Euros, and maybe having to raise them later losing subscribers in the process. Or rais their US$ subscription rates, ticking off MOST of their subscribers who are outside the EU. (Being as non-US players pay in USD also).
There is infact no way to change either subscription rate, and still retain subscribers. Their only safe bet is to do nothing, because EU players who are really worried can buy GTCs to pay with, and if the exchange rate changes and those GTCs start costing more, it will not be CCP that are blamed and so won't generate the same backlash.
I'd say almost all players pay in USD, even alot of EU players do, and don't forget that it's not just people paying for one account that would be effected. There will be people with 2-3 or more accounts that would cut back, people buying GTCs for players that play that way would buy less. Basically, any change to the current pricing system would likely have an end result of CCP losing money.
Very cool picture. I dont see the netherlands though, i mean belgium cannot possible have more eve players!
Also people need to stop bashing each other continents, grow up plz.
