I looked that the pictures without reading the OP first and i immediatly thought that the liberator looks caldari. Its too blocky and full of edges, it should have more spare parts and needles sticking out of torn pieces of its hull, and less smooth surface. I mean , its dominant part is this hangar on the right which certainly looks caldari. The hangar bay should be composed of scafolding, not of solid metal plates, its minmatar, it must look like its going to break apart any second.
The amarr one is too bland but alas the amarr always get shafted.

Good work so far.
I have a few suggestions however.
I believe the landing ships should be blocky and not aerodynamic with downward thrusters as it comes into the atmosphere.
For example for the minmatar ship i cant help thinking that the shape of the minmatar indy the 'Hoarder' would look good in the role. And as the ship touches down, like you say a shield goes up. Id also have some antennas and other things protrude from the ship once it lands and then once its ready to go into 'ground mode' it should unfold. That is hard to explain but basically the ship opens up to revael a command centre sort of thing.
As for the aerodynamic ships on the landing craft i think thats a wrong idea and i think that should be saved for ships that support the landing craft untill its set up.

Pelican is the name of the next gen gound effect aircraft being developed by boeing for the us army/airforce.
Its also name of a bird that uses its bucket of a beak to scoop up fish.
I thought i stole enough things for the minmatar one i guess not...
As for the base mode yeah things stick upwards including 2 attena masts and the center of the ship to provide better gun coverage.
And remember how i said i wasn't going ot design the tier 2 dreadnaughts, well a brick named inspiration hit me this morning and proved me wrong... I got all 4 thought out and talking with my partner on the design aspects and functions sketches due out eventually.

Zues Pinnacle Jourgmond Bahamaut
are the names of the juggernaughts ive picked out.
Zeus will have shield drones to suck up incomming fire from other ships making it the heaviest tank of the 4, features 8 single cannons
Pinnacle has constant beam fire making it the highest dps of the 4 also features 8 single cannons
Jourgmound has the highest damage per shot as it unified its 8 signle cannons into 1 big shotgun
Bahamaut is the only one with 4 twinned cannons (like rest of eve has it) and 4 seige launchers and its best suited for capitol ship to capitol ship combat above all other juggernaughts.

Im done for the day, made some progress on the amarr but didnt upload one but I got distracted then tired. Only dabbed on basic colors, but ill be attempting to color this one the same way i saw somone else hand paint a wreyven on youtube.
The juggernaught designs are currently over simplistic they dont look capitoly enough, im also having an issue with scale atm for them as the only reall good comparable ships would be another captiol but alas i suck at drawying the incoheriet designs of most capitol ships in eve.
Also the amarr juggernaught looks silly i may have to scrap the 'pinnacle' in favor for the testiment design.
Ill see what i can get done tommarow I've been thinking about civillian ships for ehe minmatar as well but i scarted on page 1 again.

I dropped a line for vixie to go look at it shell probably bug your thread soon and mix up the ideas with ours with your permissions of course.
Juggernaughts will be how motherships would be called most likely, i mean everyone calls the teir 2 carrier a mothership when there is so few reference in game calling that a class of its own. When we went out and asked "What whould you called a mothership sized dreadnaught?" Many repsonded with 'Juggernaught' i mean what else are they going to call it? everything else we came up with sounded like a minmatar or amarr ship name or names wed rather see as a minmatar or amarr, similar to the muraders should have been the name of a minmatar ship not a ship classification. And I still want my Field Flag Ship that sports gang warfare bonuses and projects different sorts of fields from warpscramming to webifier to repair field and force field but that seems to be a programming feat thats probably taking devs longer than planned to get the mobile deployable forcefield out because they where talking about in the past before rev 1.

There a rumor that a corvette class by the devs are in the work something might be possible with them but since we have no idea what corvette class ships are going to do we are not going to touch them.
My hopes is they make the corvette class the fighter/drone assigment ship, a ship that gets/gives drone and fighter formations bonuses.
As for air support your own drones/fighters should be able to handel the job the flares and becons are just there to nail fortified positions and or structures such as the orbital guns or the enemy commanders base.
Beacons are to let people in orbit lock onto something though this can be used for bombardment or reinforcing positions as dreads would be able to shoot troop pods or carrier/motherships would launch troop landers to act as new spawn points.
Flares are just for anyone in atmo since mobas arent allowed to use modules while on ground and thier shield recharged is nerfed to naddah a frigate or even another drone can prove hazardous if they where lockable without flares.
Anyways I present to you all the Amarrian Sanctuary Colored, still not done but it looks a hell lot better than it used to.

Im trying to figure out what ship to draw up next Im little torn between redoing the caldari lander to the same quality as the amarrian lander or pushing for the caldari civillian networking 'hacking' ship. Im sorta liking the concept of the civillian ship's shape and composition so far, Ill need a company to be tagged on it and ill attempt to make 3 sizes of them.
Ive sketched out the gallente one with wings, looks goofy imo but im trying to work with the base mode of the ship and having wings at all, I think i might still be able to get them mounted on though.
Been studing the minmatar design school albit more and figured what i did wrong on the carrier side, basically i didnt tear that side up enough, there should be about 1/4 of the current panels there missing or exposed at least. Ill see to it in future incarnations.
The document progress is stalled atm the girl is on vacation and couldnt been bothered for a editable copy of it.

Hummingbird, sparrow, and finch are the three caldari civillain hacking ships atm until I find better bird names the tech 2s the 'network infiltration' ships are Distruptor, Viral, and Overload for their tech 2s.
First off there needs support ot make hacking a bigger profession such as more hackable sites in npc missions and exploration and encounters and even plain jane space (bring that long fucntionality and have them act as keys)
How hacking ships work and do
Hacking array - a multi purpose interfacing weapon that consumes hacking stacks as ammo, this ammo wont be cheap higher teired ships will consume lesser ammo to accomplish goals.
Hacking sites - Some sites have hacking materials and cans, however using the upper slot hacking array 'guns' you can yeild a higher result and more varied result they will also, this uses the least about of hacking stacks and most likely allows you to obtain more.
Hackable wrecks! instead of normal salvage materials your ship destroys the wrecks in chances of findinding codes.
Advance script construction and even basic scripts should use codes instead of minerals.
Locking gates - basically the hacking ship flies up to a gate and shoots it with the hacking array which effectivly locks it down until help arrives the consumption of ammo will discourage 24/7 camping the gate with a lock also a counter hacker can always cancel out the effect of a locked gate.
sabatoge - since the ship can cloak and shoot its array (at the cost fo more stacks eaten) this ship can cancel any current job being done by thae target whenever it be a station or pos. once the hack is complete the ship will be forced decloaked nad a temporary offline of warp drive until systems are realinged for navigation.
BPC theft if a bpc is being used for construction a hacking ship can get a pertty bad copy stolen and destroy the current copy in work. this can and should be risky. this consumes the most stacks to perform and it takes time and you decloak if your cycle failed.
As far as looks go I was going for a platic model look nova may be able to pull it off not to sure about it though but he did do a fantastic job on the amarrian GCS.

Progress on the redux pelican is slow I would upload it but it probably would be booed at, but I found a way to gun metal it form its current blue hue blob I however been studying asegiers work and I doubt I can capture the same feel with it as he did sigh... Ill give it my best though.
Good news is I got my scanner fixed so I can now upload more sketches again but it seem I can make these sketchs alot faster on the monitor.
I also redid the gallente base mode to accomdate wings in two areas now so im now toying around with that seeing if I could place the wings in either position right now its quite a challenge without disrupting the rest of the ship...
Somone commented on the domonix design, if you look at the iterons, obelesk, and the dominix youll notice a common shape amongst them that state only one thing... I carry alot of stuff. I was hopeing for a new unique shape that was semi iteron without the lip but in a way yeah, it would look like the domonoix shape upside down.
Currently on my design board is the caldari networking ships the small medium and large ones. We decided that these should would be acheiving an ipod look. So to make it simple, and appealing and look like something easy to use over a fairly complex task. The smoothed out edges and a great reduction in the number of atteneas from normal caldari design led to the humming bird, we also wanted to retain the caldari design aspect of one team making the left side and the other team making the right side and smashing the two together sorta idea as well to at least give it some inheritence to the race, unlike the tree hugging ore which has 0% in artistic design to the gallente fathers, where only the role has somethign in common with them.
Still dont know what civillian organization it would be putting them out but im sure somone from the great empire state can find me a civillian corp dealing with computers.
The first humming bird I can probably get done a few hours if i work on it.
Anyways breakfast and school calls see you guys in a bit with an update again.

Hello again. It's good to see your ideas have continued since the last thread. 
I've got nothing to really add to what's been already discussed, but may I suggest some other names?
Gallente: Hephaestus (hammering down on the opponents ) or Hecatonchires - multiple shield drones, plus multiple cannons representing the mythical hundred hands.
Minmatar: You've already picked Jśrmungandr (world eating serpent), so the other option would be the Kraken.
Amarr: Judgement's already been picked as the Doomsday weapon, so possibly Abomination, Seraphim, Overlord or Templar?
Caldari: Since Caldari capital ships are named after mythical creatures (Charon excepted), Bahamut is fine, but may I suggest Behemoth, Quetzalcoatl (unlikely, but it's an idea), Naga (mythological snake) or Seiryu (Japanese mythology dragon).
I noticed that Juggernaut was regarded as a poor name for the ship class. There's two possible alternatives, either keep the name to the ship role, eg Orbital Bombardment Ship (we have Heavy Assault Ships so why not), or a single word descriptor. How does Behemoth or Colossus sound?

To Sirja We're not suggesting the ships themselves however the roles has to be discussed in order to get the idea of how the ship looks like, looks must match function, once we do sorta get into the nitty gritty stellar I'm sure will start up threads in feature ideas about the individual ships where exact bonuses can be made and slot layouts power grid yadda yaddah yaddah.
My goal is to first show off some art and get feed back best place to get this would be general discussion. Ill tell vixie to cut down on the detailed post and ill hammer all of mine down if you wished.

Ill consider the gallente names they sound more in line than zues ever did since they havent used any of the main god's names yet such as hades, they also pull alot from babylonian myth as well the most recent being the sin itself. The
Minmatar one I'll most likely stick with and thanks for the proper spelling, it is norse and many similarities between the name and what the ship does.
Amarr was difficult they keep using all the good and holy names, testament, pinnacle, oracle, list goes on but I think they ran out of the end of the world ciche's I might consider some of your ship names but well toss it back at the naming convention.
Caldari - Im now thinking about Virtra (one of few spellings but this was the coolest of them) which is a indian mytholical black fog of death and famine sometimes also considered a serpent/dragon of sort it has that world devouering quality to it dont you think?

Well i got contacted in game somone wanted to see how am i doing so far on the caldari lander because he belive i didnt do the amarr one at all. seesh the mentality of some people today.
Im being extra careful with the caldari considering they are all techno and hard edge and quite geometric so a simple paint isnt going to do the caldari one justice.

It looks fine so far - only problem, it's symmetrical. 
Maybe if you added a giant pointless antenna to one side, made the other side elongated by 150%, then had MC Escher draw an interpretation of it, it'd start looking right. 
Virtra doesn't sound that imposing for the ship's intended role (essentially destroy planets). Maybe something like Wendigo instead? If all else fails and we want to stay with the big lizard theme, there's always Gojira aka Godzilla.

A couple of hours before Trinity went live, I figured I'd start playing too. Was mainly feeling the generic styles out, not really doing the honest vehicle-design thing. I love the item icon for Gal ground vehicles, so I let that sleekness come through a little more on the second one, rather than letting the current ships be the only guide.
Might get back to it and do some proper design work on some small vehicles for funzies. Depends on whether I can stop playing the damn game for long enough. =P |

So far those works showing a great deal of understanding of the styles and honestly shows more years in art school to my 0 years. Feel free to make up your own designs or use mine already. If you need different perspective of my works drop a line here and ill provide a and hopefully useful rough sketch until then ill be redoing the caldari lander to my liking now that I seemed to have gotten some uneducated 'talent'.
As for the Ground commandships icons on them sorta did that as part of the army pride so to say, army stamped thier race's icon on each of the ships and what army division they from, its the reason why you see the race symbol and a number on every ship, gallente however was the only one i stamped a division logo on near the back, dunno why but it probably wont be there in future incarnations.
