Thers a lot i subjectively dont like about it but it actually works very well when put together and i do like the end product.
i also like that you are trying to block out the background enough to get that solid black,

This is a weird character.
The piercings and make-up suggest a punkish/rebellish character - the haircut doesn't really fit in, though. Same goes for the expression. The eyebrows suggest an angry character, the smirk - or is it even a whole smile - kinda suggest the opposite. One could argue for a "oh really" smirk or a pejorative smile, but then the eyebrows wont fit.
Anyway, I feel like the character has no real concept and is all over the place.

I love the idea. I really do. Sadly, it's just far too colorless and ashen to make it tasteful to the eye. Something about that light on that skin, also... you look like you're made of chocolate-scented candle.
Do try playing around with different angles and lights. This could be really nice.

Interesting angle. I give it 8/10. Would go bit higher if your character eyes would perhaps look at the camera or "look behind". But I dont think in EVE you can move eyes too much. Love the chin, mouth, lips area a lot though.  |

Nicely done. Simple but effective.
Only thing that nags me, is the glasses strap that seems to float above the ear. It gets obfuscated by the black hair, but once seen, it cannot be unseen. I don't even know, if it would be fixable in the character editor. Just makes that part of the head look a bit weird.

So you would marry a totally different girl then? I think I'll save that as a pick-up line: "Man lady, I would marry you, if you had bigger **** and actually looked good." Just make sure you wear a helmet and some protection down south.
Since I think I know what you were going for, I'll give a 10/10. At first I wanted to nag about the different hair and eyebrow colour, but he actually has that. Maybe try to go through the apparel and see if you find a red coat/top. |

I think that is quite close what you can do with the CC, but you have taking a hard thing to mimic in eve (Assuming i remember correctly what you are going for). You definitely have a good android thing going on there, although it is not something you can really shine in as for the lack of clothing to really support it.
Personally i'm not too found of much darkness in avatars. They usually hide too much of it, but i guess it goes with the theme on this one.
I will definitely give you props for taking a hard subject to go with. You definitely go above average.
Where 10 being godlike, 5 being average and 1 being Large Collidable Object, I am going give you a good 7.
It is not the best out there, but far from worst. Extra props form the context.

I usually have a plan when I try to make a new avatar. Sometimes it works out, most of the time not. Here it was to use little used apparel, make use of the age slider to get, as I find, cute laughing wrinkles on the cheeks and hide the age because I didn't want a character that looks too old.
Now there was a lot of playing around to see what works to obfuscate the age. Then posing, also to obfuscate age, then the background and then the lighting.
If you want these laughing wrinkles on the cheeks, you don't have many lighting options. One of these option gave me a lens flare, a slight blue tint to parts of the hair and interesting shadows. I chose that and so, yes, it was an intentional choice.
The character was now done and then it almost went to the bin, because I thought it was not good enough to post. It has a flaw that seriously irks me and to my surprise hasn't been mentioned by any of you.
I really, really love the character editor CCP created and the more you play with it, the more little tricks you learn. On the other hand, I find the posing possibilities in the frame very limiting and the clipping is annoying a.f. and ruins some good avatars.
I'm therefore quite sad that this awesome feature isn't pursued in development any more and got hammered down by people who had more of a problem with overly expensive apparel (monocle) than the character editor itself. Also a bit too much promise of excellence by CCP and at the same time delivery of a weak expansion (Incarna and the closed door) played a role. So there is little hope that stuff gets fixed. But even with all its flaws, I still think it is to this date the best editor created. Years after it came out. And it is a lot of fun to play around with, brilliant.
Enough rambling and after writing all this, I feel like a proper turbo-nerd again.

Because to me, that's not a "major flaw": your avatar looks quite good right now. (I think) I've rated your avatar in the past, because I've always liked the effort you seem to put into them. So that "imperfection" with the glasses is one of those things that takes a back seat to an otherwise very good looking avatar. Those little laugh-lines add so much character.
I get why it annoys you so much, though. This char editor has many of those niggling little issues. Like, I simply cannot get Kairavi to smile without her looking like she's recently had root canal surgery.
Love the use of the Blades hairstyle, btw. I wanted to go with Blades as well, but too many things felt off with it overall...
You ever read the Asterix issue where they meet Cleopatra? Because your avatar's nose reminds me of that :D. She does have such a lovely nose...
The problem I've got with your avatar that the framing is awkward, so I'm staring right up her nostrils. And she's got a surprised look in her eyes, like she's been caught doing something she shouldn't be. Props for trying to work the angle and the pose to make it more unique, but for me, you haven't succeeded.
2.5/5 for now. Or how about a different rating system? You get a kitten chasing a spider! |

And you caught me. I remember you. You used to post here a lot. I also remember that you "print" really good avatars (by that I mean one awesome avatar after the other) and I liked them a lot. So thank you for your assessment and welcome back.

I also like the one you linked. Completely different feel than your current. I like when people change the concept of their characters.
And laugh-lines sounds so much better than my wrinkles abomination. I even googled the translation...maybe that was the problem.
Two things I don't like about your character. First the jawline which seems a bit out of proportion - the mouth might be a tad too high. She still looks good though. And second the same tattoo on both arms. I know it looks nice and symmetrical and symmetry is pleasing to the eye but apart from some tribal ornaments I feel no one would get the same tattoo twice. I feel a sleeve always consists of many small little details and it would be boring to have them repeat on both arms.
Also there are some artifacts on your shirt. Maybe some different lighting to get rid of it.
Your character gives me the impression of a smarty but not in a negative way. Someone who just keeps poking you but you just can't get mad with. Cool vibe.
