Right now I'm too embaressed to even log on, after waiting for months to get into my new Force Recon I join a small gang to take on some pirates, these are local blues who I've never met before so naturaly I want to make a good impression for my corp, then one guy asks if I can collect his loot can for him... In my eagerness to save his can I forgot to turn my cloak on and before I realise whats going on a BS has warped in and my shiny new Pilgrim's a mangled 140mill wreck... Well at this point a neutral in a prophecy lands and im like omg neutral?! So being retatrded i lock point and drones on him and sentries pop-me insta and im left sitting in my pod like "Wtf?!" -=YYYAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!=- Damn you Cortes and your ISD Army of Frustration and NerfBats!!!!1111(PS: ISD Sux :o)

So I put my alt into a cloaked ship and made my way to him. It took a while with the t1 cloak I had on a lowly incursus but I setup 15km from him. Then, my corpmate and I warped 15km to my alt which landed us 2km from the war target. We proceded to lock on to him in which I locked first and in my excitement I activated my remote repper and webber on him before taking the time to make sure he was scrambled first. Hitting the webber on him let him enter warp instantly and of course, the remote repper wouldnt have helpd (us) either. I even fraps'd it. You can view it HERE. We're in this system, looking through the asteroid belts for miners or anything to destroy. I see a ship, and check what it is. Somehow, I'm targetting a Badger MkII. I'm like, **** yea, easy hit, told everyone to get to me. None of them think to check what the ship actually is. So, half of us get raped by an Astarte. I still don't know why a Badger showed up when I checked what it was.

Met a bit of opposition , a geddon and harbinger , still fighting under sentries with my gank mega (no rep , few in gang had remote reps either) that we managed to dispatch without losses still. They had some other friends in system , but didn't frontally engage us for some obvious reasons. Gang remained safed up to wait our crims , some docking and logging out for the night. At this point , I desynch before anyone can rep my armor (at 22%) Logging back in , the gang I'm invited in even smaller. Some raven spotted at the gate , but it turns out it was 50km away from it. Domi is busy shooting it , I try to reach them with the MWD while a friendly myrm warps to them. Domi is going down , I try to rep it but to no avail as I cap out. Raven is in armor now so I figure we can still win the fight , but the myrm goes down much sooner than I expected. Then I start to notice my guns are not working , the cap stability of that MWD / web / scram / TP setup with neutrons leaves much to be desired. Woops , time to warp out. "You are unable to warp because you are warp scrambled." There I start to realize the extent of my stupidity. I go down ever so slowly , with no cap to shoot much less activate the MWD , all drones long since dead. I die with the raven entering structure. 3 heavy ships failing to kill a cruise raven. To add insult to injury , it turns out the raven also made a mistake and put shield repair drones on me. Which means he was flagged to sentries as well. After expressing our woes in local , the winner informed us that it was frapsed , and to be used for recruitment purposes by his corp. This is the absolute worst in my Eve life so far.

Needless the say Eve craped out and froze and stuff leaving me to stare at one screen for about 11 minutes.... I felt it at the pit of my stomach that I was down, but it still didnt make it any easier ;S Im ugly, just look at my face!

I was in a Sacrilege (cost me 270mil at the time) with about 200mil in T2 items onboard. The corp mate was running scout and when he jumped one system ahead he reported back that there were war targets in local. Being really nervous, and expecting hostiles to jump through any moment, so as I arrived 15km from the gate, I activated my heavy beam lasers. So guns hot, I clicked on the gate in the overview to click on approach. Big mistake. Guns hot, I lock the gate and proceed to have the sentry guns shoot me down. I panicked and did not switch on my hardeners, and watched as almost 500mil went poof... I was almost in tears, and didn't log back in for about a week.

Well, I waste no time, deploy drones, burn in his direction. Light him up and call for a personal friendly I'm chatting with to help me by the gate. Well, same guy. Cost : A new Lachesis - Same Deimos, I'm aggressed by sentries, a Harbinger tries to attack me at the station. No big deal I think, it's a powerful ship and I have my Falcon alt to bail me out if the ** hits the fan. It hits the fan when I forget to turn off the overheating quickly enough (combined with bad luck) resulting in my guns being disabled. Align out, warp my falcon in to the wrong BM, but, I'm boned if I readjust, uncloak, try to jam. Trying to concentrate on both clients and hope to get him jammed on the second attempt (1 Amarr Jammer + 5 other racial). My Deimos dies, I warp my pod out, look over, and... Half Structure, click on a planet I'm aligned to, aim for warp, boom.
Incantare Kernel of War Tau Ceti Federation	Posted - 2007.12.18 04:51:00 - [16] I was flying a blackbrid with no tank and got disconnected at a gate, I reconnect, jump through meet up with my gang who are a jump ahead and get tackled by a taranis and a crow. Ok, no problem. I'll mwd back to the gate. Turn on the mwd and realize I'm webbed. So I activate jammers, get the taranis jammed and I'm unwebbed. I hit the gate and get the "you cannot jump due to your recent act of agression message" and instead of trying to jam them both and warp away I try to deagress. The result was one dead blackbird. Not an expensive loss but I felt pretty stupid. My gangmates got there just as I started exploding. The taranis got away but the crow died. Not because he was webbed, but because he bounced off the gate and got hit by a bunch of heavy missiles while nearly immobile with his mwd turned on. I bet he felt worse .

Just lock down slow ships in belts and such and wait for gang. We drop a few October Snow BS and a pod or two and move on in low sec metropolis.... For an inty pilot Im on the ball that night it seems like. Find this cat in a Machariel. Cant remember the corp but the pilots name was something like Zero. Anyway he had a ***** of a set up, even after the nano nerf, and was a plauge for some of my corpies and mates. I go for him and we call in the gang. He has two other BS with him. We come in all scatterd and unorganbized which is already bad. Drop the 2 T1 BS and Ive got the Mach tackled. By now he notices it and tries to light me up. 16 KMs away, orbiting at 3,200 M/s + and he lands a SINGLE WRECKING BLOW on me. Logs confirmed it later. 1 Gun, 1 hit, from some form of heavy repeating artillery cannon (IM not to keen on large bore Matari weapons). Im dusted. Machariel warps out and I look like the dumbest inty pilot in the world. By this time hes slaughtered half of us and dropped me with a single fluke shot while I was awaiting the rest of the gang.

The enemy was camping our station and i was about 100km off the station in a faction fitted Rapier cloaked. I had the bright idea to uncloak to show them where i was so they could see me and to see what they would do. I uncloaked for about 10 seconds then recloaked.......to my horror id pressed the cyno to recloak. The funny thing was that the enemy sat staring at me for anout 2 minutes. When the realised nothing was coming through i was instapopped by their snipers. The sad thing is that it happened about 4 months ago and i had to read the calls of noob ringing through local. Not the cleverest thing to do for a 76mill sp player. Max.

I pop into the next system for a bit of a look and find a Blackbird sitting on the gate. Domi reports that the blackbird has a friend in an arbitrator now sitting on the other side of the gate, so figure we will try and bait the BB and see what happens. Plan is a simple one, re-approach the gate, try to get BB to aggress then jump falcon safely into next system while my friend in Domi jumps through to kill the BB. So I reproach the gate, sure enough the BB canÆt resist shooting a flashy red and starts to jam/shoot me...great everything to plan so far, then the arbitrator appears...at this point, instead of hitting the jump through gate button I decide it will be a brilliant idea to try and jam the arbie instead...YAY! Falcon lasts about two seconds under the sentry fire and drones. Domie did kill the arbitrator in the end, but this was dumbest mistake I have made in EvE untilà

So with a full 400k SPs in navigation I fit it out with a few faction mods, rest t2 cool stuffs and some rather pricey rigs. Promising myself I will never drive this thing solo and until my speed skills are maxed out I sit in the hanger looking at the 300mill beauty. Over the next couple of days I have some fun flying around the outpost and ramming corpmates as they undock, but even this gets boring after a while. With no experience flying fast ships before I am well impressed by the 2900m/s and figure this thing is way to fast to get killed, so stupidity wins out in the end and I decide to take it out for a little spin. Five jumps from home I run into a small gang of t1 cruisers on the gate. No problem, IÆll just hit the MWD and warp awayà actually hang on a second, I know, lets test this thing out properly, I will engage and try to pop one first, if I get into trouble I will then hit the MWD and warp off. Completely ignoring the fact that as a pvp gang they will probably have a couple of Webbers between them, and that there is a blackbird that will jam the hell out of me, I lock up the first guy and the fight starts. Speed immediately drops to about 20m/s, jamming from blackbird kicks in and I die a very quick yet painful death.

Wanted to jump out of a window at that point and didn't show my face for 2 days. Yep podded by a guy who's been playing less than 2 days. Laugh away.

I had a really neat ransom channel all set up, with some smug and clever language laying things out nice and clear. As the Hulk pilot begged me in local to stop shooting his beloved ship, then started calling me names, I watched that channel...he didn't accept my invitation, so I popped him, and his capsule. Later, a corpmate helped me test the channel; it turns out it was password-protected. Your Money or Your Life!

Do a quick scan, drake 2 ishtars and a hyperion on scanners. I'm thinking gatecamp... But meh they wont be able to catch my hurricane quick enough in the next system. Moments later I warp to gate,agro timer STILL there, Just when Im about to jump a hyperion warps to 0 of the gate. I jump he jumps... I instantly decloak in an attempt to warp befor he does, agro timer RESTARTS, Hyperion wtfpwns me , caldari navy gateguns get the killmail. The funny thing is, I didn't get mad, it was insured and I already had an access of 30mill. Only thing that frustrated me is that if I Waited just a SPLIT second, I would of survived. Was a lol moment in corp chat. Hasn't happen since.

Pop him being at 40% armor, but did the mistake to try loot him as it was 15km away. Was killed by sentries when i was re-aligned a planet. 200+M lost and all loots took by pilgrim's pilot :p

For the past few days there had been plenty of wartargets in local so I decided to make an insta-undock bookmark bright and early one morning (before my coffee!). Check local ... double check local ... good! no war targets. I undocked and started MWDing my rigged Buzzard away from the station. About 80km out I notice some blinky blinky thing on my overview. In my morning stooper I stared at the velocity and range on the overview, very confused by the really big velocity number. Erm... wait, wtf!? Where are my shields? :: poof :: ... Instinct got my pod out to a nearby planet, and only in warp to a gate out of system did I realize a wartarget Crow had magically appeared and vaporized my shinny Buzzard. Guess he logged in while I was zipping away from the station Before jumping out of system I made a semi-witty comment to the wartarget about not flying before adequate coffee intake

I was leading a small gang in lowsec Heimatar, flying a harpy. A gang member flying a heron probes out 2 pirates (a domi and a vaga from BEES iirc) and gangwarps us there, sadly we miss them. Then I decide to check out the other probe result, alas we end up at a pos with me going "oh ****" and promptly ordering everyone to either stop their warp or get the hell out of dodge back to the spot where the pirates had been probed out. I decide in my wisdom to leave my harpy and go scout the pos with my pod, lo and behold, 4 uanchored cruise missile batteries, "whee, $$$". Then pirates we had previously probed out decide to return and bring with them some friends so my gangmates get anxious and ask if I'm not coming back. Just as I'm about to return the pirates return to their safespot, bbq 2 gangmembers (would've been more if the set squad commander hadn't initated gangwarp) along with my empty harpy which I allmmoost got back into. It was....a learning experience Then of course the multiple ships i've lost to the minnie police due to dipping below -1.9 (-2.044 to be exact) and forgetting about it

Not a soul, but I had obviously warped to 50-60km from the Ice Field and ended up squarely inside a huge rock formation. I bounced around, unable to do squat as a Stabber warps in, all red n' flashy. I panic, target and activate all jammers. Cycle misses and I go pop REALLY fast. I could swear I had hammerheads - I was wrong. It's a very effective way of getting sentries' attention on you which is a bad bad thing in BC vs BC fight. His gang was nice enough to still jump in and have a piece of me thus making the loss mail seem more heroic.

Followed a close second by losing a BC to a fully faction fit rattler, then coming back right away in a cruiser expecting a different result. Sometimes the possible loot can that would drop blinds you from making good decisions.

I get targetted, which should have been my first clue, as most of the new miners don't know how to do it, or think little of it. All I'm thinking is that, I've done my recon, searched every belt for others in the same Corp, and I've got a buttload of Cap Charges in my cargo... ...and hell, there's only two of them! So, I pop the can, jettison my own, and fill it with their ore. I'm immediately attacked by the Hulk, who seems to be a bit perturbed at my theft. I'm watched by the Retriever, who I figure, has no offensive weaponry... (...anyone thinking something's amiss yet?) ...and so the Retriever watches as I finally get the Hulk down to armor, and then warps out. I didn't notice - I'm too busy armor repping, cap filling, and just hoping that he's going to open a chat and make a deal to keep the ship. I'm not even thinking of why the Retriever warped out. (Completely noob mistake.) It comes very clear, very quickly, when I suddenly hear a new set of rattling guns off my bow - and see a very new ship in my view... Yes, folks. It would seem that the pilot of the Retriever had a nice, shiny ABSOLUTION in his bay, and two shots later, I saw my precious Punisher blow up, mid-warp. Yes, I had just enough time to try and warp out, before the big Tech II guns took another stab at me. (The most amusing part was watching the dual armor reps actually have half of my armor back - while I read the ominous message "Ship out of control" and watched the BOOM, as my pod was, unceremoniously, ejected from the wreckage.) Note to self - watch your overview!

Two uninsured drakes went boom. now I often undock in industrial ships full of expensive stuff, when there are only me and red guys in local. But I manage to escape too often from this, so I continute to do it. Really strange if you ask me. The bad news was that I had been mostly distracted reading slashdot and was so surprised that I locked and volleyed the wrong target... lots of sentries at gates in high sec, let me tell you. "The stargate denies your jump because of your recent act of aggression". I had taken a pot shot at a ship now engaging my corpmate on the other side about 50 seconds earlier. There was a blasteranis on that gate, flown by a wartarget. The very expensive paperplane is shredded in seconds. Podded too, but implantless. -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP!

They knew I was coming, it was obviously a trap, but I was confident I could pull it off. I warped in, aligned so that my approach intersected grab range on their can and pointed towards a station, and set my speed to 3/4. This way, as soon as I stole the ore, I could just punch Warp to the station and be on my way. Long story short, I clicked on the stargate below the station on the overview by mistake, which happened to be directly behind me. I got about 6 points on me, webbed, and got nailed as my Badger MkII slowly pirouetted around. Thank goodness I fly cheap, but local was pretty embarassing to read. TOOKURSTUFF For all your (ore) thieving needs.

It came back to the belts 3 times and finally I locked it down correctly (would have had it the second time but it had a stab so had to refit with a second point)

Get to the camp and decide that I need to jump through and hit up a station for some module/ammo of some sort. I warp to the other side and see a neutral/red pod floating in space. I immediately target the pod and attack, only to get blown up by gate guns before I can warp away. The Alliances eyes are stealthed on the gate and says in fleet "Zondrail, you're in lowsec!" I warped my pod to a planet and logged off, very embarrassed. 0.0-itis is deadly. Some of my buddies had just reactivated there accounts and we were getting some ships together to go pirating. In the area we were in it took a while to get all the mods together, etc. but we eventually got it all together and met up outside a station, right as a warped in with my Thorax I targeted my buddy and attacked him, because we had always been in the same corp and had always did mock fights... WELL, he wasn't in my corp anymore and in a few seconds my Thorax was gone and I sat there in my pod, very embarrassed. It set our operation back about 20 minutes while I went and got a newly outfitted ship :-/

So I load my best everything, lots of T2, cap charges, heavy drones. Rename my Abaddon as a caldari BC and head out ALONE while I equip no MWD and no webber. It is hard to figure a PVP fit with only 4 mid slots on the Don. In a low security system X, I find a belt and pop a rats, second rat is at half armor and with one more rat remaining. Just as I expected, here ôenters stage leftö s a gallente HAC. I targeted him but did not shoot, as I do not want a security hit. He targets me and sends in the drones. So far so good! In fact, I feel disappointed that it will be an easy victory! He is in the optimal range for my guns, the third rat pops like on cue. His fancy t2 mediums begin to orbit me as I have foreseen. I figure, everything is ôA-OKö. I scram and ECM him, send my drones over and open fire on him. At the same time, I activate my SB and wait for his drones to flame out while his shield is melting awayà.Meanwhile, I go into armor but one repairer gets my back up quickly. I am feeling pretty invincible. Since, I am a neophyte at this and he is not, and since I come to his ôhoodö ALONE I should have expected what came next. I see enter ôstage rightö about 4 more ships. I have a remote sensation that something is wrong. They proceed to pound me and I feel distracted. Finally, I see is gallente HAC is now at 1/3 armor and outside my web range and he exits ôstage leftö by warping away! Soon thereafter, my cap fails and I am in a pod promptly after. They were nice enough to offer me a ransom, and at that point I was smart enough to accept it. After all, I did not activate a jump clone for this adventure and went in with bunch of pricey implants still in my toonÆs head. I set up a merlin as best I could with web and point. We roam the lowsec/0.0 border and come across a Rokh in 0.0. FC says "Let's go get it! Drewski, tackle!" So I flip on the burners and aproach to orbit at 1.5km(my gun's optimal). He gets a single shot on me as I approach, but my shields are holding. Then I start to orbit - and boom! I die instantly. The Rokh pilot starts laughing in local. Then Boom! My pod goes too. I'm thinking "Huh? How did he...do that?" The gang lost 3 frigates before we realized the Rokh was fitted to the brim with large smartbombs. Aww! I no longer play the agressor in pvp. Having hopped around for a while unable to find proper targets, I jump back into Egghelende when I spot a single frig standing near the gate. I of course knew about sentry guns in low-sec, but in my noobish excitement at finding a target somehow I manage to forget all about them, so I immediately proceed to lock, turn on modules and start firing... only to see my HP dials fill up with red in a matter of 2 seconds. With my Punisher vaporized in less that I took me to verbalize "WTF?", I warp away on my pod with my tail tucked firmly between my legs while briefly catching what must've been my target's hysterical laughter resonating inside his*****pit. Not long afterwards, and having lost a couple other Punishers in (non-suicide) fights against Rifters, I decide to switch ships and train for one of those. So I take my Rifter once again to Egghelende and find myself a "safespot" nearby a planet, from where I continue practicing using the directional scanner to find targets. After some time of not seeing any suitable ones, or them warping off before I manage to catch them, I start to get tired so I decide to take a break and lie down in the couch to read for a while... only that I forget to log off and leave my Rifter floating there in the middle of pirate-infested Egghelende. I must've been an hour or two later, when I'm still reading and suddenly hear the familiar warping sound coming from my PC. It is then that it strikes me that I'm still logged AFK in low-sec, so I go to my computer and see that my Rifter is still there floating intact. The mail icon is flashing though, so I open it up and I read something like: "Your 'safespot' is not safe at all, find another one. I managed to scan you in just a few minutes. Fly safe." Ooopsie...

My corp mate was telling the person to eject, and i was sitting there doing nothing, so i decide to put my drones away, right clicking my drone menu, i accidently click engage target instead of return to drone bay (was lagging) (crappy grandparents computer) and as soon as i do this, the guy ejects, and my light drones attack. After we both died we checked the loss mail and it wasn't a Ferox at all it was a Vulture but the after the update they looked exactly the same as their T1 counterpart and I didn't think to actually check what the ship was before I engaged.

Actually, the worst moment was when I was messing around in lowsec on my alt in a t2 fitted Hurricane. I jumped into system, and saw an Ishkur engaging rats 20km away from the gate. I quickly analyzed the situation and figured I could tank sentries long enough to kill it. I MWD to the Ishkur, it honestly seemed like he didnt even notice me there, he continued engaging the gate rats. I got a point and web on him, and started hitting him with my Energy Neuts, and activate my guns. He was about 5km from the gate when I popped him, and I quickly spammed the warp button as my 'cane had about 25% armor left from sentry fire. As my ship is warping I bookmarked the location of the wreck so that I can warp back to it once my ship is repaired and I have regained some cap. About a minute and a half later, after making sure that he didn't have friends come into local in the meantime, I warped back to the wreck. I open my cargo while in warp, and once out of warp I right click the wreck and open cargo. Nothing happens. WTF? I repeat this a few times, with the same result. Then the truth of what has happened begins to dawn on me. I've disconnected (Used to happen to me a lot with my old ISP). I frantically spam ctrl + q, hoping to avoid the unthinkable: Death to an NPC. Finally Eve shut down, my connection kicks back in, and I get to the character selction screen....Yup, more ISK than I had before The worst bit was that I had to wait in dock for my countdown to expire before collecting the loot in my shiny new Reaper. By the time the countdown expired, the loot from the Ishkur and my Hurricane was gone. I had gotten a nice Ishkur on corp KB, but at the expense of an almost fully t2 fitted Hurricane. _____________________________________________________________________________

Bored as I was , I started writing a fictional story in local about WHEN I WAS a babysitter as a little girl (I'm a guy) that involved aliens, demonic babies etc. After 10ish minutes I got so into it that I forgot about else than the local chat window. And then I saw I was locked and fired upon... I made the choice to finish my story instead of fighting back, just as I hit the last sentence, I found myself in a a station ,luckily enough, it seemed like the entire story hit local where it was meant to. Anyways, my worst pvp stories: 1) This one fortunately does not belong to me, but to someone else (names removed). A sabre pilot warped into the station my then-alliance owned and was playing around with a phoenix that was undocked. Unfortunately for the sabre, during his orbit he bumped off the station with around 10 rift torps following him. Hilarity ensued when they all hit. 2) I started pvping about 4 hours after my account was made, so I spent a lot of time pvping in poorly fitted t1 ships for quite a long time. My first cruiser was a rupture that I decided was invincible compared to the 50 rifters Id already been through, so I decided to go take on some CVA fellows in it. First person I met was Garreck..........in a Megathron. I was so excited when I tackled him and didn't die instantly, unfortunately my enthusiasm was short-lived. Less than a week later, I decided to chase down a hyperion and finally caught him in a lowsec. I'd spent weeks fighting WTs and nothing else, so as a newbie I didn't get lowsec aggro, sec status, etc. I jump through, lock up this red (thinking im ok), get all types of ewar on him, and suddenly I'm getting completely raped by all these sentry guns. My gang jumps through just as my bellicose explodes, and the BS pilot just smiles at me in local and warps away while I look at him in my pod. To this day gateguns scare me. ----------------

I see him mwd towards me and I turn on my mwd to not get into webrange, but nothings happening! , I disconnected. I hurry up to log back in and I come back with 30% structure left, somehow I am now 11km away from the gate and the prophecy guy is sitting right next to me. I mwd back to the gate and actually manage to get there but the prophecy 1 volleys me and I blow up. **ed off I go get a myrmidon, thinking I will own him, he is kind enough to warp in on me and we start fighting. Was a very tough proph and he was doing good damage, but nothing I couldn't handle until my cap booster refuses to reload after I had boosted. DAMN, forgot cap boosters and lost the myrm to the damn prophecy. Kudos to Kaileen Starsong for royaly owning me that night, and ever since. Whenever this guy is in local I ALWAYS manage to warp my vexor right on top of him and die. It's insane. Yarr

But the same Outbreak gang had pushed Thorn (Bastage) back into their hidey hole just a few systems away from us. So, my alliance was all hot and bothered and had mounted up this (for us) quite huge defense gang - and I was the 'de facto' FC. Ok, that's fun I guess. So I go scouting with the Arazu, and lead our (for us) huge gang towards the Thorn/Bastage home system. We'z gonna show them a lesssson! An alliance leader suggested a tactic to catch wandering ratters (bubble the station with a pair of dictors and jump everyone in). Of course, Thorn didn't fall for it because they have a bazillion alt spies everywhere, and were safely tucked away in their station all nice and safe-like when we get there. They've got about 15 in local to our 10 or so, but they normally spend alot of time AFK. Oh well. ;-) So, they undock a Thanatos (YAY!), and I took this is a moment where I could teach some of the newer / unseasoned PVP'ers in our alliance not to be scared ****less the moment a cap appears on overview. So we spend a few minutes testing the Thanatos tank for him, and I've got everyone trying to bump him out of docking range to the station. This goes on for 15-20 minutes (I knew we'd probably never break his tank), and we got him down to a quarter armor IIRC. Meanwhile we'd killed an ex corpmate of mine who'd undocked/redocked in a Caracal a couple of times (I bumped him off the station the second time with my Sabre). Anyway, he gets killed/podded. Anyway, so the 20 minutes or so goes by and meanwhile they've got 20 or so hostiles in local now. So ....... their entire alliance undocks at the same time. Guess I got suckered. Anyway, we lost a cruiser and it took me three days to personally escort each and every station camped person home. -Liang -- I give up (Make me say whatever you want!): Price Check: Liang Nuren

After a while a puni came along i insta poped the poor fellow, little bit later someone aggros me, i see the name start with zeal.... so i think its a zealot, im quite far away from the station (out side of docking range) i panicked activate my weapons and a tracking disruptor and had someone that hasnt aggroed me locked for some reason, BAM! sentries got me. But the kick of it all was that it wasnt a zealot it was the imparior (amarr n00b ship). So he gets my loot and a massive laugh. (I should also mention that this was in high-sec space, and there weren't any sentry guns guarding the gate) as I was coming up to a gate, three frigates start to lock onto me... they're still some ways away, so I fire a barrage with my four Howitzer Artillery Turrets loaded with EMP M and completely remove the shield and half the armor of one of them with the first salvo... then everything stops... a minute passes... nothing... EVE shuts down, I try to start it up again, no connection. I try going to my ISPs website, no connection. it takes then five hours to get everything up and running again... and by then, it's a bit too late for my character, and my ship, and everything I owned, which was in the hold. ... but don't be discouraged. even if my connection hadn't broken down, i'd probably not have survived anyway: medium slots 1x Shield Booster 1x Hull Repairer 1x Afterburner low slots 1x armor repairer 1x armor plate (I think) 1x heat sink Yes. a heat sink. with 4x 720mm howitzers, on a gallente ship.

All of the 'losses' I blame on my keyboard because while im hitting F1-F8 (with my forehead) i occasionally go too far and hit F9-F12 as well which leads to a laggy time when Fraps, big map, sidebar map and petitions all open at once and generally miss crucial things due to the lag, such as scrambling people or webbing them or...turning on hardeners before I'm at half armor. Its really embarassing when a hurricane escapes you at a gate with ecm drones and a cloak, when you had him at <10km while your map opened. and couldn't do anything about it. Yes everyone thats correct, had to run from a cloaking ******* hurricane because I couldn't hit him as he orbited at 20km. edit: proofreading is for the weak Beets, you're among friends.

Cikulisuy	Posted - 2008.01.01 07:38:00 - [111] ive got 2 funny stories, one from my experience and one from a m8 of mine: mine: well, i undocked from the stacmon station in my punisher (i like to annoy people w/ it) and theres a caracal sitting 50km off station camping for war targets (and a few BS on the station as well) so i burn out to him and orbit real close. i lock him and suddenly i see my shield drop to half or so, yep, a caracal tried to one-volley a frigate. which doesnt work apparently, as he quickly got one-volleyed by the sentry guns. /laugh 2: my m8 is sitting on the aforementioned station in his incursus where he likes to steal the wrecks of the various war targets and stuff that kill each other around the station. he sees a few different ships ganking a megathron, he waits till he dies and then steals the loot. the war-target hunters then promptly warp off for some reason. the megathron that was killed comes back, this time in an abaddon and tries to kill my m8. my m8 quickly steals the mega loot and docks. 14.8 minutes later my m8 undocks as his aggression is about to wear off, the abaddon still sitting there quickly locks and fires. woops, agression timer wears off before the abaddon fires. woops.. 2 t2 and faction battleships lost in under 20 minutes. ouch..

Warp to the isanamo gate and I see a rax .. its not RAK its actually REPO (didn't know we were at war but our dec's change daily and i've given up on keeping upto date) so i lock thew guy, he locks me ... neither engage as he's outmatched and i know he'll just jump. With 5 RAK in local also I thought it best to jump and so do, Big suprise the rax jumps with me and comes out of cloak 6k metres away, so I lock web and scram and engage him. He actually fights me ( [Team America moment] I love your balls!) so I start to attack him. He is going down, albeit slowly, my missle skills suck. Its obvious he doesn't stand a chance, but theres no trying to get away, although he may have actually managed it, and soon I see why. Local bump, then another, an ishtar comes out of warp and out come the wasp II's, i'm tanking fine so i continue to hit up the rax, a brutix also comes outa warp and engages, tank is suffering but holding up and the rax nearly dead, I hold out and pop the rax, mwd to the gate and tank until I can jump .. so far .. so good. I then run like bloody hell with these two after me and it seems like they got an inside man on my ship, they follow pretty well, 4, 6 jumps out and they are still on my tail so I take a chance and duck into a dead end system hoping they'd blow past me. Give it five, then jump back in, phew they are gone ... little did I know the web was closing. So I make for Amarr since I have seen small RAK numbers there previously, two jumps in and I see REPO in local again, so I keep moving hoping to lose them again, next sys, Raptor on the gate, he's much to far away for me to hit him and too fast to catch he tackles and I jump .. huggin on the other side of the gate does the same, local starts to go crazy and I make it back to the gate, jump to the raptor, then back to the gate to jump again hoping to get close enough to either engage the hugin or get away, as I ju,p again there are now 4 on the gate .. I'm screwed :D So i (just) manage to get to the gate and jump back into the raptor when the worst happens. My athelon 800 can take it no more and my client goes poof leaving me probably to be dead meat and looking distinctively like a logofski scumbag. What would probably have ended in a short if valient good fight turns out with me losing my ship and pod to a comedy killmail with them holding my ship their long enough for everyone and their mom to get on the killmail (even a helios, omfg the embarresment!). Conclusion, buy a new computer you noob. Good job to REPO for having a very efficiant method of spread and net, you got my number.

Crap, just before i hit armour i managed to warp off to the first thing i could click on, being planet 1. warp to planet 1 and hey, the warp in point happens to be just within sentry range of two stations. ship went down quick. shortly after this loss my alt was bringing me down another BC, and a solo hurricane was sitting on the gate waiting. crap, shoulda scouted. he made quick work of my hauler, and in a rage i recruited a corp mate, himself in a 'cane, and grabbed the only ship i had available to me, a caracal, to go after him. We jump in, he engages my corp mate, i decloak and open fire thinking he was aggroed...well apparently his counter had expired from killing my hauler and since my corpmate was -10 that didnt aggress him either, so my caracal instapopped. corpmate thought i was in a BC too, and suddenly found himself vs another BC and sentry fire. another time i came home from the bar a little early and decided to get some eve in before i had to go to sleep for work. after annoying all my corp mates with my loud drunken slurring i promptly passed out on the gate. (thank god they were kind enough to gang warp me to a safespot before docking up for the night). ______________ ...mmm fire... ______________

I undock(ive just woken up btw), get half way there and realise im on 1/2 armour, on a shield tank. Not a problem so far, they can wait they said. Ok so i dock, repair and head out again(i really should have realised by now it wasnt my day). So i join their chan, but their all english, the accents are killing me so im having a lot of trouble figuring when their talking to me (marak sounds very garbled with an english accent). Thats cool lets keep going. We jump the ships we were after, i even got a shiny new kill mail, yay im happy, so their all talking in vent, relaxing away and im thinking ''but theres still one left? why are you all so relaxed'', long story short ive somehow targeted one of the fleet members, and am smacking him around quite severly with a torp raven. Luckily juts before i got to armour i picked out teh words 'javelin torp' 'still hitting me' '**** who is it' over vent and realised my mistake In my own defence, fleet members were turned off overview, no idea how i targeted him... could have been worse, but it didnt exactly make me look like the smartest guy on the planet.

I jam him, warp to a can a long distance off the station, then warp to the planet when I get damaged. After a few rounds of this, I warp back to the station, and there's a new hostile in an Eos. Lock, turn on jammers..."You have foolishly engaged in criminal acts within sight of sentry guns." He wasn't a war target. I got BBQed before I could align anywhere. Why couldn't I just die to the Vaga?

Well, all of you that have some experience with empire wars knows what it REALLY means when an lonesome frigg is innocently buzzing around your station. It means that the innocent little friggie is not a innocent little friggie at all, rather it means that he's entire corp probably is lurking behind a gate close by, waiting eagerly to gank your ass if you're stupid enough to engage. To make everything even more embarrassing our ceo had posted several corpmails that clearly stated: "Be very careful when engaging targets outside stations, they are most probably bait..." I think many of you involved in empire wars recognize my reasoning that followed...: "Well, maybe I can pop him and get away real fast?", or: "Maybe I can blow him to pieces and dock up real quick?" or the best argument of them all: " Maybe he's NOT bait, maybe I'm just very lucky..." I engaged. I did not get away very fast. I did not dock up after blowing him to pieces. I was definitely not very lucky (very stupid mostly). I just died horribly. Nowadays a lonesome wt frigg outside my station is enough to send me into a state of paranoia...

Buy me a Vengeance and fit him up the best that I can, used EFT to maximize my DPS and tanking attributes, and finally dolled it up and took it out. Flying around, just testing it on some rats in highsec, I see a four person mining corp in a belt, 1 in a Hauler, 2 in Miners, and one Myrmidon. The Myrm is only a week old character, so I figured I could easily take him, without issue. Yeah, I'm only in a frigate, but I know his SP isn't high enough to take me out. So I flip a can, he engages, and I start hurting him bad. He warps off (has freakin' warp core stabs fitted) and I felt disappointment. The next day, same scenario, same people in the same belt with the same Myrm. I flip the can again and lock onto him, waiting for him to engage. Sitting there without him doing anything, I decide that I want to flip another can of theirs, shift-click on a piece of ammo in my cargo and drag it. I slide my hand up to hit the '1' on the keyboard, but being that I was on a laptop, the F1 key was in a different place than where I was used to. I see a rocket fly off, hit the Myrm, and BAM, Concorded. Worst part of the story? I had grinded out missions for a week to get from -2.5 down to -1.9. Thanks to my happy mistake, I was set back above -2.0

Warp to..100km from gate....press cloak. Meanwhile, my highsec main is going in shopping frenzy ; So many bargains! Ohh and this..and that! hey damn thats cheap! munch munch. After about 5 minutes I realise I've not been watching my left monitor at all. But who cares, I'm cloaked! Wait. Why do I see my own ship? And what is that nighthawk doing there 22km away from me? Eh..oh-oh. ***! Why is my cloak not turned on! [I pressed it twice ] ! Got scrambled, my main helpless in an industrial . The other nighthawk doesnt by far have enough DPS to get my own maxed tanked out Nighthawk below 75% shield...but every minute one or two The Church alliance members in various battleship sized ships start pooring in and tickle my NH. I cancelled off the 2-3 ship strong reinforcements from my corp after I notice there's about 7 of them near me, dont want them to lose more ships because of my own stupidity And so the NH went pop. My first NH. It was pwetty. And ebil. Lesson : Dont sit at gates, or dont sit ANYWHERE uncloaked being a -10 flashy, uncloaked, not paying attention

To anyone that knows me...i love drakes and am a huge advocate of them as sexy sexy ships. However, engaging this domi was a bit of a dumb one, esspecially when his friends turned up in another domi, 2 destroyers and an interceptor. Instead of trying to flee, i sat there and thought "meh i'll be fine." and am happily placed about 5km from the bubble's edge...webbed. Luckily due to the awesome tank (drakes ftw) i manage to take down the two destroyers and get the inty to hull, before the domis mwd back to the gate. The lesson here - although you win, it dosen't mean it wasn't stupid

The thought he might have heat crosses my mind, but I think "it came out like eight hours ago, he could never get the skill and get here in time" Result: vaga webbed, he overheats his mwd too timing it all beautifully and gets in close, I go in closer and deaggro and the guns stop hitting so I'm all spamming dock, also telling my alliance he has a faction web like a noob. Someone brings in a falcon alt so I align, guns start hitting again, the jams fail and I die 2) Long day of fleet pew-pew then I bring my jag on a roaming gang. After 16 hours of EVE I log in a pos after ganking a vexor at the gate. I have aggro and I get probed and popped and podded. I'm convinced I didn't have aggro and I'm halfway through the petition the next day (I didn't think they could have popped me in two minutes with what was on the mail) before I realise that I did log with aggro and it was all my fault. I've had a couple other dumb losses, including a huginn to an isk farming raven while dual accounting; that one I didn't log on for a few days after.

Personally I didn't have a warp scrambler (was training for ethnical relations like a madman), so the first couple of solo attempts only resulted in my prey being scared off. One of my friend logs on, and we deciede to do a sweep, he got a scram and two ecm modules in case **** hits the fan, so we travel from our home base, up to around old man star. I consulted my low-sec maps, and I took a left at the system before old man star. The moment I enter the system, I do the usual stuff, scanning 360 from the gate, and I see a hulk. I could not believe it, a HULK in lowsec! I narrow it down to 30 degrees and then warp to the belt he is in. I yell to my confederate "Scramble him!" He do, and I imediatly makes a attack run with my incursus, blasters spewing out antimatter into his shield. About the time we got his shield down to around 60-50% my friend yells: "WTF! I am dead!". I am like WTF? I did not see any drones. At this point, I feel it in the marrows of my bones. This isn't a hulk mining in low-sec... It is a hulk mining in high-sec. I pan around, just in time to see concords finest training their guns at me, and I die in a torrent of fire that would have crippled a titan. We head into villore, get new ships, and laughs our asses of. We keep laughing about it the entire evening.

I find someone in a destroyer and his corpmate's in a cruiser so I flip the can. These people were 2 months old so I didn't think they'd be much of a problem. The Destroyer guy ***es about me taking his stuff so I say "It's there in the can, just take it" Didn't think he'd fall for it but he did. I promptly kill him while his corpmate just sits there. Weird I think, I still have him targeted so no big deal. The destroyer guy keeps chatting to me and *ing about how he's gonna get even. I wasn't paying attention to the belt as his budy in a BS comes in and since I was still flagged for stealing from their corp starts doing major damage. I totaly froze and by the time I realized that my tank was holding and would have held long enough for me to destroy the BS the cruiser joined in and whipped me out. I was **ed at myself for freezing. I still can't believe I just sat there. All 4 ships I lost so far I've learned something new! I just hope I don't make the same mistakes again. ----------------------------------------------- It's all fun and games ...
