HUH? Seriously. I'll tell you what the problem with this is. There is absolutely NO way you can stay in 0.0 space 24/7. With these kind of sec hits, everyone will have -10 sec status very soon. This means no one can go to empire space. Now, I know this is what ccp wants - but what the heck are the players going to do? How are we gonna get skills? How are we gonna get ships if we want to buy one?
And mining? How do you want anyone not in a huge corp to ever kill anyone? You can't mine in 0.0 space (yeah ok, you can ninja mine, but that's not the way it's supposed to work). You are forcing people into 0.0 space, but people can't "survive" here. You can't get ships, you can't sell anything. You can't do crap.
And just to quote from corp chat: "whats the point of having all these skills when u cant do **** with it?". And: "I'll quit this game if ccp doesn't fix this, don't want to play a mining simulator".
This is without doubt the most retarded thing EVER done by the devs in EVE.

Hmm, that sec rating thingy sucks. Ive been having some major sound problems since the patch. No matter what level I set the music or master volume too, I cant hear the music, its volume is barely above a whisper.
Also: I no longer get warping, autopilot notification or weapon sounds if I alt-tab aout of the game to check the forums.

Generally stated, I believe CCP needs to get better at giving people a good bit of forewarning about skill changes (missiles, mining) -- but I will say that I don't really disagree with any of the skill-changes. It'll take a couple of days to get back to where we were before, for those tight on skills, but a couple of days for skilling in this game ends up being nothing.

Wow CCP...I am speechless. Actually I have a lot to say but I know I would get banned for it.
Why would Concord have control of Law in LAWLESS areas?
This game is a mining sim now really. Not a game where PvP is promoted.
I guess this was a method to fix combat lag? If we don't have huge ship to ship combat anymore---NO MORE LAG PROBLEMS! Hurray!

The problem is that a lot of players spend time in 0.0 - you are inevitably going to fight someone at some point. With all the alliances and wars around, getting -0.1/-0.2 sec hits everytime you engage will quickly prevent you from entering Empire space - and with such small sec status increases, it will take months of killing NPCs to be able to enter Empire without getting shot to bits by Concord.
Whoever implemented this (if, indeed, it does exist, and it isn't just a message bug as has been said) obviously hasn't thought it through at all.

Already hate this patch. The skill requirment changes have ruined my ability to run miner 2's and such for a few days. The 0.0 status hits infuriated me. Come on its unregulated space why would you get a security status hit in unpoliced space...thats kinda the whole point of 0.0 space...

Things I see Wrong:
1. Micro Warp-Drive is online in station, however I can't use it in space (happens 85% of the time, extremely annoying)
2. Over-Mouse error when using people and places (seems like it's trying to show the number of jumps, creating the error)
3. Dys-Sync issue when i see the my drones are within range to scoop into bay, however it says im too-far away. blah.

The old "sysadmin is god" routine where the sysadmin shafts the users by not giving them information and acting towards them like they are cretins is only practised by a dying breed of bitter individuals.
Any significant change (such as skill requirements) should be announced DAYS before the patch is applied to the General Population. Not only to those that frequent Chaos or related areas since clearly the majority of the users does not have the time.

no nerfs have affected me but u need to stop nerfing the game until the only people who are playing is the NPC spawns.

really annoying ping. -sec hit in .0 space ? not very well thought off imo. lvl4 mining for miner II. good missile changes. good
To prevent players getting a headache from playing plz remove that ping, and to let them enjoy the game more remove that sec hit plz cos it makes no sence at all. |

I can understand some systems needed a security tuning but with this you just have made all travel in empire regions for characters with an security rating below -5.0 nearly impossible. There used to be some few routes available but now most of them are blocked by a 0.5 system. And I'm here talking about systems with a traffic below 50 ships a day. Why would CONCORD ever want to increase patroling there? And are the Blood Raiders going legitimate or what? With a 0.3 status in their home systems they don't seem very pirate like to me.

I understand and agree with the point of view that sec hits for attacking in 0.0 are a harsh, and certainly a sudden change. I do, however, think that this may be a positive thing for the game on a whole - as it will certainly encourage trading from empire to 0.0 space, and alliances will have to think twice about their "closed border" policies.
Real pirates, over time, will have their sec status go below -5.0 and as such will be fair game for alliances protecting their territory.
Roleplay view: I understand the argument for "lawless" space, but in reality with a security organisation such as CONCORD in existance, they would have their finger in every pie, and keep tabs on what was going on outside their "official" jurisdiction. /end roleplay view.
My only suggestions would be that the sec status hits be proportional to the sec level of the system you are in. For instance in a 1.0 system, targeting someone is a -0.2% hit, where in 0.0, the hit is -0.01%. On a side note, I have noticed (and yes it may be a rather nubtastic revelation) that the sec hits are percentages as in -2.5% for podding, not -2.5 points.

Irrelivently. Security is a function of your standing with the police force (CONCORD) and the goverments they represent. The goverments have no control or jurisdiction outside of Empire space, so it doesn't make sense at all. If anything, the relationship of the controlling corporations/alliance to the party is more applicable.
All sec-status does is affect people's entry into empire space. I can't see a reason why you should penalize someone's entry into empire space for them performing some action that has no negative ramifications on the empire space. Most of the alliance people fuel the empire's industry. To restrict them would be a poor choice. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

Wow, someone's having a bad patch day
Agent standings next to agents, great Trop skill needing lvl 3 heavy missile, I can live with that, didn't have any torps anyhoos  Mining lvl 4(?) to use miner 2's, erm, I had mining 5 and astrogelogy asap. Mining @ lvl 3?!?!, weirdo's  Sec hit in 0.0, hehehe, that'll give em' something to think about. Yes, you may get a sce hit for killing someone, but they loose their ship  Beep, MUST go, it's positively. Fortunately I was in the same system for a while  Docking bugged again, minor inconvenience, i'm sure it will be fixed as soon as the last one.
Haven't read the patch notes yet, but looks like I got through relatively unscathed , I just fear the next patch
