Also, is that "if you're ganged while docking/undocking it doesn't get registered when you press yes"-bug EVER going to be fixed? Or HAS it already been fixed, even, and is just recurring in newer versions?

Is the server is up; I download the patch; then I get this message. Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn''t running, or the server address or port number was wrong.
I see Eve-I still show the game is up. Thanks CCP ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pollito Posted - 2004.03.18 16:05:00 - Edit - Quote

I have not seen any information in the patch logs about security status hits in 0.0 space. Can anyone elaborate on exactly what this is? I'm sorry but if you take a .1 hit per ship you kill, everyone in this game is going to be a wanted pirate in a couple weeks. ------------------

The biggy is be warned that there is a security hit in 0.0 space right now tested by some people getting a -0.1 for targeting and another -0.1 for firing on someone. Just word of caution to all the players out there right now.
This was recorded in HLW. Fear The Bunny

I think that the sec change for 0.0 space was a bad idea, it is nice to have lawless space which is how real space would be.

1. The ping is unneccessary and should go
2. When I fetch the graph in market history it just stalled on "Fetching data-Drawing graph"
3. The docking does not always work

God damnit - you finally did it? Holy crap how could you do that? -0.1 for targeting and firing? What are you on about? How do you want any pvp to happen now? You can only have 3 wars going. This is so stupid it's not even funny.
Ok, battle - you lock 5 people - -0.5
You shoot at 5 people - -1.0
Now you have to regain that to go into empire (in the long run)
Going killing npc - woohoo, npc bs - good increase - NOOOOOOOOOOT.
0.002% every 30 minutes (yes, it's 30, not 10).
Ok, I kill pirates for the rest of the year - woohooooooooo, I can now lock and shoot 5 people again. THANKS bastards.

I hope it was an unintended bug. Hopefully it is since I didn't read it in the patch notes. But if not why are you making a vast quantity of your players unable to enter empire space??
By the way, I'm not sure if this happens in all systems, but if it does you're going to have a lot of -10 players, awfully fast.

Edited by: Mitchman on 18/03/2004 17:20:19 It must be a bug. I'll stay in station until it's fixed, training skills.
Edit: The bug is the message, you do NOT get a sec hit.

Edited by: Wraeththu on 18/03/2004 17:17:04 I'm going to have to think the sec hits in 0.0 are a bug. If not (comic book guy voice) "Worst idea, ever." (/comic book guy voice)
Also, given the fact that some people rely on combat to survive, given the fact that you've made PvP a requirement in this game, could ya'll possibly think about a WARNING before you put in changes that basically disable critical combat items like missiles?
People can choose to use lower quality miners. The rocks aren't going to blow them up.

I can't see a problem with the fact that if you commit acts in lawless territories that would be illegal in Empire space then you will not then be allowed into Empire space.
Whats the problem with this?

Good things:
1. Showing agent quality in station without info checking (or was that in, I just noticed now)
2. Offline/online in space
3. The public scenarios. What are those anyway? lol
Ps. am I imagining or is the warp distance each time, shorter now?

I'm something of a carebear miner -- and even -I- agree that non-empire ought to be lawless. CCP, c'mon now -- now sec hits in non-empire, eh?
Oh; and that bloody ping! Off, please? Or configureable?

People should have 0,0 space to fight it out without consequences, right? Even though I never go there I only think that is fair

You do not actually get a sec hit, you will only get a message about it. The bug is the message.

Sec Hits in 0.0 are crap (for only attacking someone) but I would say Sec-Hits of -0.1 for podkilling in 0.0 would be fine...

YOU DO GET THE SEC HIT.
I've just lost Sec Status - physically - as have other people in HLW at the moment - 0.5 for participating in killing someone, 2.5 for podding. I'm down to +1.1 already I'll be classed a pirate by the end of the day.
The -0.1 lock sec hit doesn't appear to take effect - the actual combat ones that result in a kill - do.

the mining change is a good one and if you call yourself a miner and dont have mining4 then YOU ARE NOT A MINER!
the missile changes are also good ones except they should have been introduced a long long time ago
Think I noticed a bug, when I select from the drop down a station and click dock, the ship warps to the station, moved to it but doesnt dock, have to dock manualy

This seems to be cmplete crap :/ as 0.0 was supposed to be lawless space and so it should be, with no sec hits at all. Within days all corps fighting wil not be able to go into empire at all. I will no longer be able to buy items from empire, or travel through etc. Basically its gonna ruin the game completely for me and many others who wih to be able to fight there corp, alliance wars, yet to be able to cover all other aspects of the game as well. completely rubbish patch tbh ================================================

Edited by: Styrmir on 18/03/2004 17:52:17 I can not seem to accept my agents big order courier mission. Somewhere I saw the workaround is to have a big enough cargo hold for the order but I don't ahve that, even with all my expanders on
I read that there will be a hotfix tomorrow
Is there another workaround for this?

It's about time that people took security status hits where ever the aggression took place. The reason is simple: Regional alliance does not have any higher 'ethical ground' than PC pirates. If you want to 'defend' an area, pay the price for it.
Just becasue you have -9.9 sec status doesn't mean everyone else should have it too. (which it will get up to if sec-hits are being given in non-empire space).
