Putting it simpler, any API Key will work with EVEMon as long as you don't select the Clones. Of course this is fixed in EVEMon v3-RC3. Even the API Management website had a defect from that, which we discovered and reported to CCP. CCP released this devblog explaining things. From what I was told from CCP they have fixed it and will deploy it tomorrow.

When I click on one of them it opens to a generic page - there is no data other than the picture and character name being imported. I have verified the API and it's setup, and uninstalled and reinstalled Evemon. Not sure what more to do to fix the problem or gather more information to identify the problem. Suggestions?

I was able to add tabs that do include information from my character, however the tabs for skills information, skills queue, employment history information, and contact information all say that the information is not available. I can see all of the transactions I've made since I started the game, all of the emails I've received, but not my skills. Solved the problem. Ensure that your API key access mask is not zero.

So, apparently the connection to the server times out and then every API-key separately complains of not being able to connect. The weird thing is, yesterday it suddenly worked, today it suddenly doesn't again. I've tried to use the in-built tool but it never worked. Until EVEMon started working like normal for a couple hours. And I'm sure I haven't set my AV-tool nor my internet options to "allow access at random time intervals". For now, it seems the problem is on CCPs end, otherwise why would I sometimes get a connection with the API-server and sometimes not?

When you click the "magnifying glass" in the window that pops up there is an option to increase the timeout. The default is 20 seconds but there are options to upper the value. I think the max is 1 minute.

So when this happened today I stopped and pinged api.eveonline.com with no problem. I went in and deleted the APi and recreated it, but when I try to link to the new API I get a error that a connection timed out - so I can't create a link between Evemon and the API. I started looking for solutions and saw the reply you made to Owen Levanth - I have no problem getting there. If CCP is working right, I can ping the server without timeout or delay, I can get to the web address, it would seem that Evemon is the one haveing the problem. One other thing, I use Firefox and not IE as my web browser. Any suggestions on how to resolve or isolate the problem?

That being said, ever since I started using Windows 10, EveMon alerts trigger three times for each event which is very annoying. Is this a bug or some sort of strange interaction between Windows 10's Action Centre and EveMon's alerts. Anyone know?

That said, Blitz Bandis will be the next EVEMon lead dev. There will be no more support from me for EVEMon from this thread. Probably Blitz will create a new thread to announce new releases and support you guys. So be a little patients until Blitz gets familiar with the EVEMon ecosystem. That's all from me ppl. Look at the line specified in the error, for me it mentiones a line where the station id is one of the new citadel station ids, which is much longer. Since the error is an xml error, and specifying a line where the only difference is a long station id, i consider this to be the reason for the bug (xml scheme expects a certain stationid length).
