The main reason ppl are fighting BOB is because of the success they have had in the game. If you consider how many active players who have been displaced by BOB's victories and how many of the largest alliances in game have been destroyed by BOB then its hardly supprising that eventualy it would create a group of obsessive BOB haters.
The loudest of these BOB victims and now haters is GOONSWARM.
It seems to me that the only thing goons are good for is bringing a lot of numbers to the battle. From every report ive seen the goons seem to lack even the most basic of combat skills and get by because of the sheer volume that they can bring to the fight and continue to bring over a short ammout of time.
This blob spamming as it is called is why most pvp alliances have very little or no respect for them. They even recieve contempt from many of their allies and it is not unknown for ppl in alliances who are actively anti-bob to openly show contempt for them on the forum, although many use alt's to post as personal opinions and politics in EVE can be complicated. GOONS normaly respond to these posts as being by BOB alt's and that they are propaganda (as they proly will with this).
Some good points here i was fighting in delve against BOB i have to agree im not overly keen on goon or their spamming of blobs.

or the simple answer is that we're all one part or another of slightly independant forces grasping for control over a virtual environment that is better than the one everyone is panicking for the ability to suicide people in.
but just like the real world, no one can enjoy what is available in the most abundant areas of our little world here because of this very same reason. whether it is a CEO getting bored and handing over their alliance/corp or someone else convincing enough other people to get behind them in their cause, the simple fact is that very few ever really take over permanent residence in 0.0 for very long (with a few exceptions). everyone is too busy fighting over what everyone wants rather than taking steps to secure and enjoy it.
lust for power. if people would swallow their pride, evaluate what is possible with what they have and only take what they can use/secure/keep then there might just be enough room for everyone and more quality politics than 'i'm killing so-and-so because they hurt my feelings last year.'

The OP is sort of correct. But what he fails to realize is that the complete story isn't being told yet. Behind the war, behind the RA puppet master and Guiding Hand and making isk on T2 items there is a larger truth! Where does this twisted plot end?
