Some hours ago, I have received 80B from RAW23 (Kara Roideater).
Unlike the 10B mentioned in the first posts, this is a pro-charity investment capital. That is, the revenues will accrue the charity master fund but the capital is factually still owned by RAW23.

This also means that the 80B won't end in the charity's master fund, because the charity's charter explicitly forbids ANY withdrawal of any kind except when forwarding the whole master fund to CCP (that is, during the emergency initiatives).

Therefore in the next days I'll study an hedge fund to hold the capital, possibly with the aid / exit strategy of having a RAW23 alt able to withdraw the sum in case I become unable to operate in EvE for any reason.

In my idea it would evolve into a listed fund and even into an open ended fund.

I'll gladly accept constructive ideas about how to practically implement the idea and how to file it into the fund of funds balance sheets. I think it could become just another Sister Fund, but there might be better ways.

I'm not an MD 'regular', but I have been following MD since I started playing EVE 2.5 yrs ago. It was always fun to read your posts RAW and you'll be missed.

After consultation with VV we came to the mutual conclusion that this would not be the best way forward and VV returned the isk to me. I have now decided to leave eve and have signed over my 35bil invested with Grendell to the fund. This is a direct donation and not a management/investment agreement. The isk now belongs to the fund. Which I think allows me to nick the top donor spot from my great former business partner Rykker

ItGÇÖs with great sadness that I see you go RAW, I sincerely hope that this is just a hiatus and youGÇÖll find yourself drawn back to the game in the not too distant future. I find the timing particularly upsetting in that I myself am getting ready to get back into the swing of things after my own hiatus and was quite looking forward to catching up with you, reminiscing on old times and seeing what schemes and plans we could have made for the future. For my own return I look forward to talking to all my old friends and seeing who is the next up and coming star in the MD world. I do believe I may be in need of a small loan to get back on my feet in the near future. IGÇÖll have to assay my assets and see what exactly I have available. By my last count I gave away 75 billion to friends, including some to the VAERT fund, when I left last year and a quick infusion to get things rolling again would be a great kick start. Keep an eye out for the next Rykker Bond.

Today we had proof the earthquake that occurred in Italy was quite powerful. Besides destroying entire industrial areas, satelite measurements found out that the whole affected area terrain rose by 12cm (4.7 inches).

We still are experiencing quakes even as of today.
