I think this one would be one off the most aprishiated changes and long time wanted ones. How it should look like its taste thing, but to be able to see if u are warp scrambled or not real time by f.ex. changing the speed bracket colour to red when u have points on u would improve and make pvp much more tactical and fun.
Many times its all about seconds, all off other efect modules have instant " its doing this to me " graphics. All ew stuff have times and action performed on u showed, and even if they didnt u always knew instantly u were affected by it, webs no need to mention, drain modules-just have eye on cap and u know whats up etc.
We dont want to asume we are scrambled or not if we missed notification amoung the hundreds damage messages. There is tons off other advantages it would bring to combat but i m tired off mentioning the obvious.
Its would be nice and realy about time for this to get fixed.

I actually like the idea about just changing speed notifier to red or something, its really simple, really obvious, couldn't be THAT hard to code (yes, I'm no expert programmer but I would assume not an overly complex thing to do)

Infight message about who is scrambling who are pretty much useless. All we need is one 'Threat Warning Indicator'. Few icons that would lit up when we are Warp Scrammbled, Webbed, Jammed. Rightclick on the icon would provide a list of people that are scrambling, jamming, etc...
Something like that.

An icon on the target who is scrambling you would be helpful as well.

As much as I hate to bring up references to other games, the use of a "buff bar" that shows effects both positive and negative could go a LONG way to improving how information is received and recognized by the players.
So much information in EVE is displayed graphically yet some rather important parts are limited to text only with warp jamming being the principle offender.
Much like the active targets window, an "active effects" window could display the icon of the effect in the window and a mouseover would give the name of the ship (corresponding to a highlighting of that ship in the overview) so that we can quickly target the source. The number of effects shown could be limited to the number of active targets for the ship and skills trained, thus a ship that has a max allowable targets of 2 would only show 2 effects maximum.
If you double clicked on that icon, the ship associated with that effect would then be target locked provided you are under the maximum allowable targets for your ship and skills.
The current UI really is ineffectual in accurately displaying information in a timely and concise manner compared to many other games.

Hopefully CCP will considering this kind of thing for implementation in Trinity 2. They DID say they were going to overhaul the 'effects', right? The speed gauge turning red would be simple and excellent.

Watch interviews with the dev's on the trinity site, please. Effects like this are already being made/balanced/whatever.

Instead of yet another icon on a cluttered UI, add a sound effect similar to the radar lock warning on modern fighter jets ;)

Sound clutter is no better, and a lot of people play with sound off.

Warp scrambling effect is.. an effect. And those are not part of Trinity. If they do release an update that adds new effects, it will be this year. _______________________________ Complex Fullerene Shards; why God? :| |
