Can we find a whole new galaxy or something?
When you're just looking for a nice quiet spot for yourself it's becoming increasingly harder. My main had a great level 4 spot for a very out of the way corp in a very out of the way system a year ago, and there were only like 5 guys there, and now there's 50 today.
Does anyone else feel space is getting cramped? I remember 4 years ago when you could go places far away from other people and kick back and relax. You know, cause I want to play an MMO all by myself and all, but it's nice to find a place where no one else is and go exploit it for a while.
Generally, it just feels like the universe should be twice as big now.

Well, either that or we could try a massive reset to zero because it achieves the same thing. Maybe a special reset server for use in a week before adding to the main server. Everybody gets to be newbs for a week. --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

There is plenty of empty space, people tend to group up in certain systems, either because of agents, moons, rats etc.
But if you look hard enough you will find a nice quiet area good enough for you :)
I`d disagree with expanding 0.0 and low sec, havent really thought about Empire. I wouldnt really mind it made bigger. Ive heard ideas such as putting empire space on the other side of 0.0 that could be interesting. ----

There's still loads of room in Eve-o. 0.0 space.

I think its only something us old timers experience.
When I saw a Pirate in Catch when I first started you used to chat after the battle because you hadn't see anyone for a week.
Player numbers seem to be tailing a little just lately. If 45k to 50k was a regular thing I think we could have a new high sec region aand 2 low sec/0.0.

Systems with 50+ people in them are very rare even in high-sec. If you ask me, I think we need more people in Eve, not less.

5152 available systems in eve, at a peak weekend of about 40k users thats between 7 and 8 players per system if evenly spread.
If you break down the systems further its 1203 highsec systems 655 lowsec systems 3294 0.0 systems
in reality space isn't cramped people are just choosing to stay in the smaller parts of it Sig removed as it lacks EVE-related content. Mail [email protected] if you have questions. -Hango

Well it would be nice to have more 0.0 space and perhaps a few 'islands' of high sec with many access routes to the new regions..there are indeed many empty systems but those are mostly crappy systems.

There are way too many 0.0 systems with terrible true sec ratings, where the ore is the same as empire Hi Sec, and there are only cruiser rats.
Increase the spawn to battleship rats, and the ore to at least crokite/bistot, and 0.0 won't seem nearly so crowded, as folks won't all need to crowd together as much. |

honestly...
i blame the warp to 0. Yes it has many benefits but it has made the galaxy ALOT smaller - this is why you may be feeling cramped.

Yup and if ccp adds any new space to the game it will have to mix in crappy systems just aswell can't add new space thats just all good systems cus everyone would migrate towards it. eventually all the really good systems will be camped by a single alliance those not in that alliance won't get a look in tbh we're slowly heading towards what eve china has done at a faster pace.
What really ought to be done is to add a diminishing returns system to a systems value so something that is valuable now if its over used in a month or so it will be worth jack and those valuable assets are randomly seeded elsewhere in low use systems.
1) Remove the infinite flag on ice belts 2) Remove all fixed asteroid belts and ice fields placing them into an exploration style system discovery system 3) Randomise the types of ore that occur within a system. 4) Make moon minerals no longer infinite 5) Allow moon minerals once depleted in one location to occur in another random location 6) Apply the diminishing returns factor to all of the above, the more something is used up the less likely it is to respawn in the same system Sig removed as it lacks EVE-related content. Mail [email protected] if you have questions. -Hango

I think the reason why EVE can seem cramped is because of how the resources are spread out. All the good L4 agents are in the same areas, the good ore is located in select systems too, then we also have the trade hubs that gather massive amounts of players all around them, as well as certain high sec systems around 0.0 can gather a lot of people.
It's not hard to find completely deserted system as such. You can just take a trip to lowsec for that.. It's just that doing carebear stuff in those areas is too dangerous for people to bother, I think.

Warp to zero made eve a lot smaller. Jump bridges went a step further. Both should be removed.
