Is the sound of mining lasers filling your dreams? Does the thought of another blobfest fleet op sieging POS's for days on end fill you with dread? Then maybe Red vs Blue is what you need! Two corps, permanently at war with each other, fighting for fun (and honour), with no politics, no smacktalking, no POS warfare, no capitals, no mining, just pure pew pew. Pilots can come and go as they please, joining whichever side they want whenever they want. Lost a few too many Rifters? No problems, leave whichever corp you're in for a few days and go do some missions/mining/piracy/whatever pays your bills. Come back when you want and join the fun again! Need to keep your main in UltraMegaBlobCorp so you don't get shouted at by your wife/FC/boss? No problems, make an alt and get in a T1 frigate and come shoot people! I've got less than a million skillpoints and can barely fit a 200mm plate on my Rifter but I've been having a blast! This is pure, clean Empire pvp fun and everyone can join in. We don't actually have many noobs though, many are alts of experienced players, and there's plenty of us with 40 mill + sp involved. Any donations can come to me, then Tron (Blue CEO) and I can use them for bounties, supplies etc. We're looking to talk to an industrial corp about making some large purchases to stock up for everyone so it all helps. EDIT - We're also going to need someone with good corp management skills to increase our allowed members, currently we can have 150 but that doesn't look like it will last long at this rate. As Plave said, there are no actual fees for the war declarations, as we have made it mutual. We do have a war bounties forum on our main site (register to see it, link in my sig) where members can post bounties on each other, the CEOs also occasionally post bounties, there is still one going for Plave's pod if anyone wants to claim it :P I am currently training up a proper combat character to join with, as Tron is pretty much carebear through and through. The idea is really starting to kick off now though, and like Plave mentioned, we are going to need to start training corp management skills pretty soon! Get in while you can (although we will get around this, don't worry)! When we were creating the idea, we discussed whether we should have rules or not and decided that this way is more fun for the majority of people. Also, there is nothing to stop "gentlemen's agreements" before fights. Also, we do have a proper recruitment thread here but one of our members took it upon himself to say how much fun he was having, no harm in that surely? Blue CEO Red vs Blue

I don't think anyone would seriously join one of these as a corp, nor do i think that they are trying to push these as actual corporations. It would be a shame if some moderator failed to realize this=p Though you never know, simple ideas like this can sometimes get fanatical followings, and spread. In a few years time they could be alliances, and the entirety of 0.0 will be either red or blue territory.

I have been told about it now though. It was first brought up in this thread and after I saw how many people were interested and Plave offered to run it with me we just got the ball rolling. Our aim is to recreate the fun people had with privateers, without being nerfed for exploiting war mechanics. The corp names were just the obvious choice - although they were very nearly "Shirts versus Skins". Blue CEO Red vs Blue

We are mainly based in Highsec atm, so capitals are out (unless Cribba gets involved if we move to Amarr...) so the biggest ship anyone could have is a BS. If people want to pimp out a BS that's fine. No-one is invincible. We already have vets with 50+ million SP in the both corps so we can cater for all players. Blue CEO Red vs Blue

Count my alt in, if i ever get there This doesn't happen, there are many of us with 40/50 million SP, if we undock in pimped out big ships and there aren't many enemies online then they don't fight us, if they're plenty of enemies online you might as well just name your ship "Primary". Also we keep the sides balances in terms of number of members and SP as best we can, so one side will never dominate the other, the idea is to keep as even fights as possible. Red CEORed Vs Blue

So many sp's are redundent at any one time on other ships, weaponary and errr...mining lasers etc. Plus even an uber bs setup is nothing 30 frigates can't handle just look out for smarties

Two wardecs from external corps took effect at roughly 21:00 EVE time, one on just Red and one on both Red and Blue. In response to this Red and Blue put aside their deep-seated differences and united as Purple to fight these outsiders. The resulting op, FC'd by the highly skilled and experienced Plave Okice, was a great success in all respects: we gave -KK- and CAPS (the wardeccing entities) bloody noses, destroying 3 battleships while losing nothing much more than frigates and a recon, many of us learned some new skills and we had great fun. In addition Red corp hit the 1000 kills mark during this engagement which isn't bad for 2 weeks! Many thanks to -KK- and CAPS for the fights, look forward to seeing you out there again, and props to Plave again for superb FC'ing. Now, back to killing Blues! Red vs Blue

We did have some good fun last night, seems Psycho is very excited about it. Red have been decced by a small corp and both Red and Blue have been decced by a local alliance of 80 or so. which means Red are having 4 way fights and Blue 3 way. The gang of 20 or so I led last night was interesting, quite a mix of ships, plenty of BS, recons and others, also containing a CNR and a Velator, a first for me. For those who think this is just frig fights, there's all sorts of ships involved, virtually every combat non capital ship in Eve has been killed so far including commands, heavy dictors, recons etc Red CEORed Vs Blue

Now after that you will need some pos's to defend it, then some ice miners to fuel them, then a local defense fleet, then some ratters to pay for losses, then maybe a capital ship yard to start a cap fleet, then some more miners to help fuel that... Anyway--with just a bit more direction you can have a BLUE region and a RED region !!!!!!!!!
