No you got trapped and died, HUGE difference.
It was a leroy because you had an ass load of caps with fighters out on the gate and we jumped into you. It took many of us about 30 minutes to load.
Trapped would have been your support ships coming in from behind, your caps cynoing in and it all happening so fast that we had no alternatives but to engage - which was far from the case. Carriers with fighters out is insignificant - we warp - fighters follow. We made a decision having scouts in front and behind us - in vfk and on your cyno - to stay and fight - it would have taken all of a minute to warp the entire fleet with one click back to the pos - where-as your supposed trap was a process spanning over 45 minutes from when you arrived in FO till the fight started.
We came for a fight - we got that fight after some 4 hours and we are although the worse for it in losses, we still got what we came for - a fight.

Today was the first time I have ever had a Mod on my ship surrender to Lag.. first time for everything I guess. I had fun and will do it anytime. Nice Fighting on the Field. Sorry to the Carrier that warpped to a random planet and met part of the ATF fleet..

I would say good fight, but all that showed on my overview were caps 300km from me, and that was the last thing I saw after waiting for anything to load, and the proceeded multiple attempts to re-warp/relog. I could probably even call it a good fight if I got to jam at least one ship, but alas, thats too much to ask from an average fleet fight nowdays. Sorry that I don't have the time to stare at a login screen for 30 minutes, CCP.
Looking forward to fights with you when I actually load anything.

My battle report:
Got through into 4U (was it?).
10 minutes later, still no ships on screen, my rokh engaged MWD and started orbitting something.
2 mins later my cap ran out.
Still orbitting.
GRID LOADS!
... lots of fighters and drones.
Still orbitting.
People listing primary, secondary, tertiary etc. I can't see anything.
Finally ships load.
1 frame every... minute, that's no exaggeration.
HA! I CAN TARGET SOMETHING THAT'S BEEN CALLED SECONDARY!
I fire weapons.
Weapons start to reload.
40 minutes later same thing.
Try to exit Eve.
Can't.
Turn off PC 
Good fight? I don't know, I couldn't see it!

Internet died in middle of the day so i went bed around the time this fight started without eve knowing there was a fight :(
Stats make the fight sound epic, but from what people have told me about the lag it wasn't.
Hope for more fights like this but ones i get to be in on :P

There was like 10 of us frapsing 
Though I broke my golden rule about dual accounting in fleet so after a few minutes in, this toon crashed, and my carrier alt became really laggy, so no movie from me on this one

Thanks for the fight fellas.
Lag was shocking.I managed to lock 4 ships or so before my client went into mong mode. Spent 45 mins looking at a screenshot running at 1fps.
Couldnt lock anything, had no control over fighters. I was sure i was gonna find myself floating in a pod somewhere when I reloaded, but luck was on my side this time I somehow survived.
In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.

Gotta give it to TRI for bringing it.
I feel sorry for our cap pilots. First it took 2 minutes to lock anyone then you get the message that the target can't be locked because of to much distance, even though they had locked things further away. They couldn't active remote rep modules so there is no question of why they died so easily. Not to take anything away from TRI, they brought it and took this fight, but this is reality.

Epic fail. I was there doing nothing. The strange thing is that I was able to do basic ship movement, accelerate, warp, activate the mwd, with like 15-20 seconds delay but it worked.
My main problem was with guns, it took ages to lock targets and my guns simply didn't activate. I could only shoot one guy in the entire battle.
That's lame, just the travel was a pain, with emergency warps almost each system. The op was almost cancelled at the beginning when most of the fleet got stuck in a system in germinate.
Next time before that Tri ops evemail a GM to close Jita and reserve resources for us

Actually I do have a genuine question about the fight...
Why were the SmashKill carriers mostly fitted with remote shield reps?
Just curious... good for pos repping, not so good for spider repping when great majority of your carriers are native armor tankers... ??
