small chimp	Posted - 2008.02.24 03:41:00 - [1] I accepted a courier contract and i paid 150M collateral. After that I noticed that the destination was in lowsec and i didnt want to go there because of the risk of losing my ship. Then I just trashed the item I was supposed to carry there. Can someone help me how can I get my isk back? Will GMs give my money back if I petition this incident?

This incident, just as the scamming is all in your head; there was no scam and you will get no isk back, should have checked before accepting it, like any other. Someone offered a high paying (I assume) courier contract to low-sec with a high collateral. It was high paying, with a high collateral because its risky to haul things into low-sec. You should check this before accepting a contract. You then trashed the guys item that he wanted hauled. The reason for collateral is so the person you are hauling for isn't out the isk for the item he wanted to haul should someone fail to deliver. When you trashed his item, that means he gets the collateral. And now that you destroyed someone else's stuff, you want the money back? Please. A courier SCAM would be a high collateral mission requiring you to dock at an outpost in 0.0 that you don't have standings to dock at. There's also an exploit to get around this which cannot be discussed unfortunately. Anyways. Think. Use the right mouse button when in doubt.
