The Rokh is hands down the best mining battleship in the game. Of all the BSs with 8 turret slots it has the most CPU which means more mining upgrades. Add in a bonus to it's tank and you have a first class 0.0 miner
But i agree with the thread the procurer is the most useless ship followed closely by the condor. it's the slowest of all the tech I "fast" frigates. it slot setup is pathetic 2 mids,1 low
basically, its got enough mids for an mwd and a scrambler the grid strains to fit rocket launchers, and definitely cant go with standards, thus wasting one of it's bonuses
even if it had the grid it would have enough slots left to fit anything even resembling a tank

Not for fleet. It's actually the fastest interdictor if you fit completely for speed, since it has 4 low slots and the Sabre only has 2. Sure, it has trouble fitting properly and does poor dps even when it does. But, if you resign yourself to the fact that you're just going to move fast, drop bubbles and try to stay alive, then it really is pretty good.
Speeds on tech 2 speed fit interdictors, without rigs, and with navigation and acceleration control trained to 5:
Eris: 3977 m/s Sabre: 3685 m/s Heretic: 3631 m/s Flycatcher: 2662 m/s
well now, I stand completely corrected :)

agree, I used to love my belli, much better than a stabber for missions, I would even take it over a ruppy once you have your drone skills trained.
but a hurricane will do all of this much faster and better :P
but still :)

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 07/03/2008 08:09:32 Procurer is such a relic of older Eve expansions. It needs some serious specialty bonuses like the ability to fit a mining foreman link or something. It could get an expanded drone bay and the ability to launch extra mining drones per level too. Since nobody would ever use this ship to solo mine anymore in its current form, CCP may as well make it a mining gang support vessel. ORE Mk.II tbh.

Maller and Prophecy are top-notch when it comes to useless ships. If they'd win the contest i am not sure. Ferox and Moa get boosted i think so maybe yes. But probably there are even more exotic and useless ships.

The Itty 2.
1 and 3 are fine, both 2 highslots, perfect for salvaging. 4 has large enough cargo to be usefull at OPS, and since the 5 takes 22 more days of training, it's used quite much.
but the 2, with 1 turret is completely useless.

The Dramiel. Only ship with more bonuses for a weapon type then the maximum number of weapons of that type that ship can fit.

Edited by: Falcon Troy on 07/03/2008 09:09:14 I own a Procurer and can definitely vouch for it's uselessness. It was good for ice mining while I trained for the Retriever though. It's a cute ship and looks sexy on Trinity so I keep it for it's aesthetic points.
I think the Imicus is pretty damn useless as well as the Heron.

Procurer.
Throughout the mining circles the Procurer is generally agreed to be an unnecessary ship, with most miners simply skipping it for the Retriever.
All the combat ships have a niche to fill, so none of them really seem useless. Some are just so rarely needed that they may give the impression of being useless.
Shuttles definitely have their uses. ---

Procurer.
The mining frigates actually can be used even with max skills - with skills, a single cycle of the strip miner will overflow the cargohold of the procurer.
Like all barges, it can't tank. It can't mine, and it doesn't have a cargohold worth speaking of.
It's cute, I'll grant that. I bought and used one. But I'm not denying it was crazy. -------------------------------------------------- I'm a rich person. How I know? I can afford to be a miner. |

It's got to be the Hawk. It's outdamaged by the Kestrel. It's horribly short of PG and CPU. It has a horrible active-tank bonus. It's big, fat and slow.

Rubbish, I fly the prophecy extensively in lvl3 missions, and its not bad for pvp either, fat tank big guns 4tw.
And as for the maller my one came second in my corps t1 cruiser contest and that was only because my cap booster 800's ran out before his did.
You want a really useless ship its the inquistor, the amarr missile frigate

Seriously though, the worst bonused ship in Eve goes to the Bellicose. Does anyone use this ship at all?

Procurer is #1, it can be out-mined by the first cruiser (like the Exqurer)... all the Barge Drawbacks and none of the bonuses...
Iteron II and Iteron IV - both cost more then the next lower model but will not carry all that much more (not worth the extra cost) --------*****-------- It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.
