Matari
Burst - I mean WTF is ugly and has little to no value in its production or use.
Bellicose - Mainly because the others are much more superior. The bellie suffers cause its jsut to odd to fit/fly but totally agreed that it makes a nice anti inty.
Muninn - i lied . . I love mine. . . **** eagles !
Panther - The whole black ops class is up **** creek tbh.
Mastodons - is a bit meh but i still want a mini freighter and transports were kinda touted as being the haullers to end all haullers not sure on the transport class either but they do make a decent more secure method of haulling.

my vote is for procurer as well.
but i don't get all these complaints about the hawk. for the 2/10 static plexes it pwns and has a great tank. you cant bring cruisers into those plexes, so what other caldari ship would be better? not everyone cross trains multiple races for every ship. just cuz it's not teh min/max best doesn't mean its useless.
heron has a lot of use in exploration until you can fly buzzard.
bantam, which has a mining and cargo bonus, is a great mining frigate for newer players who might not have enough ISK for an osprey.
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Whats with the Cormorant hate? Its got great DPS for a cheap ship, perfect for popping frigates (Everything but assault frigates)... sure a mean look will break its tank, and a stiff breeze will insta pop it, but thats what you pay for the frigate owning goodness... ç¦ |
The Rokh is easily the best Sniper in the game, along with the Hyperion coming close. It can easily have a range of 250KM (apparently more, but there's no point because you go off grid). _____________________________ "So what do you need, besides a miracle?"
I don't understand the Rohk hating, the 10% to optimal bonus is obscenely good.
Can be fit for a 230km+ optimal, that means inside of that you hit 100% of the time... How is that useless? And for missions antimatter in rails has an optimal of 70km, your high damage t1 ammo has an OPTIMAL of over 70km... With neutrons and null you optimal is over 20km with 15 fall off... how is this ship useless? Inside of optimal you hit 100% of the time if you are tracking. Its definitely one of the best snipers in the game.
There are so many ships in the game that more fit the category of 'useless' than the Rohk. Seeing it on this list is just disgusting.
I'm going to go with the astrometrics frigates, because how many new players have even heard about exploration before they're too powerful to care about the little complexes you might find in high-sec? By the time you even know there's a scanning profession, and have the skills to fit scan probes, you'll be ready for your covert ops.
On the other hand, the imicus may be an exception, because what other T1 frigate can fit blasters and three drones? I haven't tried can flipping with a PVP imicus yet, but I intend to try it.
Cormorant is the worst salvaging destroyer of them all. No low slots and horrible cap = low cargo and few salvage cycles before fail.
Procurer, definitely.
I think there is an existing role for the Procurer though: it's the cheapest route into the ice market.
With a strictly T1 setup, how much would it cost to lose one? I'm betting far less than 5m, and guaranteed less than 10m.
In a game where getting killed is just another cost of doing business, it'd be lunacy to ignore cheap alternatives. |
Yeah it's good for ice mining...while you train for the Retriever. So it's role is limited use to about a week. Then the Retriever pwns it.
I think each one of the Barges needs some sort of unique bonus. Atm there's nothing they really offer except as stepping stones for Exhumers, which have unique bonuses. _____________ Hai. |
Cormorant is the worst salvaging destroyer of them all. No low slots and horrible cap = low cargo and few salvage cycles before fail.
well 530 m3 is enough for most lvl 3 missions, and was doable for lvl 4 missions until they made all those modules bigger... now the loots take up over 2000 m3, which no destroyer will be able to hold.
with skills and cap modules in med slots i never run out of cap while salvaging.
so the only benefit i can see by switching to a catalyst would be the 2 more low slots for cargo expanders. but it still wouldn't hold the 2000+ m3 that would make it ideal so i may as well stick with cormorant... plus i can always tug along a jetcan and fetch it with a hauler anyway.
How much more than a Procurer does a Retriever cost? Last time I checked a Procurer was something like 1.4m and a Retriever was about 8m.
I've been out a while though...
Breacher: it's nowhere near fast enough to make it comparable to a kestrel.
Wreath. The minmatar "space choo choo" indy. Forget what it's called, but it cost practically the same as a Hoarder and yet is so pathetic I can't imagine a reason for anyone to fly it. Unless they just like flying space choo-choos.
Procurer and Covetor.
Procurer is mostly a waste of money you could be saving to get a Retriever, and can be out-mined by most cruisers. Covetor uses almost the exact same skills as a Hulk (sans Exhumers, obviously); the only use I see for it is the lower cost if you're wandering into a hostile area and worry about losing the more expensive Hulk.
