Btw, was thinking right now...."capital command ship" that sounds nice!
Carriers can already fit a single gang module, and motherships can fit more than one.
I know that carriers and motherships can do that, but i meant a capital command ship that could do that and much more, like give big amounts of bonus to fleet and that kind of stuff.
giving more bonuses would make titans obsolete.. atm titans are the KINGs of gang bonuses...
carriers can allready fit gang mods and allso have logistics in form of remote repping. they allso have quite good dps from fighters and strong tanks.... they are on the edge as being overpowerd... so giving them more would lead to nerfs in some fields ---------------------------------- This is Me, fighting stupidity one post at a time. Ah well, in that case the NH is the worst possible CS for you. Pants damage and pants fitting.
It'll still tank like a bad'n' but that just means (as happened in the tourny) it gets left until last and then splatted.

I dont intend on using it for solo playing, like mission running, pvping and whatever.(Altough of course that i will) That said, i was cheking out the warfare links, and there are some that are better then other in a "overrall" view. Siege and Armored warfare links are not so good, being as if you¦re using siege and you have a gang member using armor tanking, he receives nothing, same with Armored. So i came down to Information (that conserns EW) and Skirmish (conserns some kind of EW....lol)
Eh?
Most PvP people opt for armor tanks. As such a Damnation with pimp armored warfare link mods is a welcomed by most any gang you care to find. Yeah, the Damnation's damage is naff but then it is not meant as a damage dealer. It is meant to survive which it does exceptionally well with one of the better tanks in EVE.
EDIT: I might add the Damnation is by far the coolest looking of the bunch as well. Never hurts to fly in style. -------------------------------------------------- "Of course," said my grandfather, pulling a gun from his belt as he stepped from the Time Machine, "there's no paradox if I shoot you!"

Just by a 1 1/2 (matar) vs 2 1/2 ratio in race ships people will see more armor tanks than shield tankers. But it's really because armor tankers free up midslots for tackling.
Which sucks for matar pilots that train t1 ships, since a majority of t2 ships are shield tankers...sigh.

hum...hum...hum...so this lefts me with more doubts then before. lol I kinda knew this would happen for the reason theres no such thing as the best ships, it all comes down to the situation you are facing it.
Anywayz, i think i ll go after the Eos or the Vulture. Hope they make a good diference. Last question: In a PVP situation, which of this CS is the one "better suited" to survive the battle?

Sleipnir > EOS
The massive tank and DPS with uber tracking on the 425 autocannon that can reach out to 20km is just dirty.
Sleipnir can take a Damnation and its so called uber tank but the damnation can't kill a Sleipnir. Same with the caldari command ships. The Sleipnir also can drop an Astare before the astare takes 1/2 the shields off the Sleipnir..
Sleipnir Sleipnir
wait, why are you comparing a FIELD command ship with a FLEET command ship?

Put a couple of shots of rum in your cheescake and some blackberries on top. :)
Going to be training an alt for the abso I think. Trying to decide if my main char has a use for the nighthawk or not.

Edited by: Sean Faust on 24/03/2008 13:24:47 Seems like you should be looking solely at fleet command ships based on what you want, which means you should completely rule out the Absolution, Astarte, Nighthawk, and Sleipnir.
Your comparison is between the Damnation, Vulture, Claymore, and Eos, and in this role, both the Damnation and the Vulture are at the top of the food chain. They both essentially can't die and provide uber bonuses to fleets. The only differences between them are:
Damnation = Armor tanker = Armor tanking bonuses
Vulture = Shield tanker = Shield tanking bonuses
also, Damnation = sexiest ship in game along with any of the black hull variant megathrons, IMHO
also: screw cake, Key Lime Pie ftw!
