When I first started playing Eve, It was just another spacegame.
Now three years later, when I log in, I still look at the text: Entering game as dreamsequencer.
Eve has evolved from a game to everything but a game.
Eve has become a society where friends are made and leaders are born. Where enemies lurk around every corner.
The market and the economy are so imporant that CCP hired an economist.
I no longer look at Eve as a game.
Therefore I like to have your view if we need a new welcome message.
I prefer: Entering New Eden as dreamsequencer.
What's your choice??

I'd like to contribute  put a small tetris game for players to play if grid doesn't load after 5 minutes so big fleet battles won't be so boring 
That way instead of 20 minutes of "entering game as...", 30 minutes of black, 20 minutes of space, then 15 when side icons start coming one by one etc etc you could play tetris all the time and possibly post your tetris battle-scores on killboards

Seamless animations instead of stupid loadingbars is the way to go (classic client would do well with a "entering new eden" style of login tho.

Nice and simple change, I like it.
After ambulation kicks in there could also be cinematics (skipable) of your avatar waking up and getting in a pod. Or waking up after jump cloning/poding. Or Having seizures after getting podded without an apropriate clone etc...

The OP is great idea indeed, plus this quote, would be a real blasting entry into game.
We are forced to watch the blackscreen quite a lot. So make short videos, instead of forcing us to stare into blackscreens.
Same for undocking, this is just ridiculous.

Sounds good to me. I'm still too excited for being able to walk in stations. I seriously hope they do good by that. So when you log it it shows you getting into your pod and the pod being loaded into your ship or something like that. Maybe add a feature to skip that instead of the long black screens when loading the node.
