Rats in belt randomly changed aggro, Killed my Hulk

FalconsFury Hammer Of Light Hydra Alliance	Posted - 2008.03.24 17:33:00 - [1] I just got into a Hulk for my 2nd account and was mining in 0.0. I had 1st brought in my Dominix and was tanking the belt successfully for hours, then all of a sudden the same rats ( same ships and same types ) just start attacking the Hulk out of no where. Is this some sort of glitch??

FalconsFury Hammer Of Light Hydra Alliance	Posted - 2008.03.24 17:45:00 - [10] What makes this even MORE BS is that 0.0 pilots actually work there ass off to make ISK in the area ( by losing x number of ships in PVP as a starter ) having the rats switch targets at random seems only a dig to 0.0 pilots, as any 3 month old char ( or younger ) can EASILY tank any damage in high sec, or just sit in 1.0 systems and farm TRIT all damn day

I started watching the shields drop, i starting to warp out to the aligned station but by that time i was halfway to structure then boom.

Is this some sort of glitch?? Nope it can happen, especially if your tank led the rats quite far from the respawn point. Elite Frigate rats are especially fickle when it comes to retargeting. CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.

This is actually a common technique for mining in 0.0. .. However, the rats WILL change target after a while, the best way to avoid this that i have found is to tank the rats at one end of the belt and mine at the other, try to stay like 100-150km away if you can. -=^=-
