We've been on break for a couple of weeks now and have managed to hold onto QY6 without very much effort at all, despite BoB not having anything else to do but attack that system. While this has occured, we've worked on a few revisions to strategic policy, namely the timing of ops and the amount of opsec. We're going to experiment with two radical changes to ops. First, we're going to shift the tempo to an every other day strategic op, rather than 2x strategic ops a day. In this way, we hope to be able to get a higher turnout and accomplish more with it, rather than wearing down goons with an incessant pace. Second, we're going to start openly advertising the targets of some of these strategic ops. Suas and I believe that we're doing more damage to our turnout by not explaining the nature of an op than we're gaining in opsec; it's easy to tell where we'll be striking if you're in BoB's position, simply because they have so little territory remaining, and goons hate 'x up for op, not telling you what for' announcements. So, you should have more information about why you should turn up to an op, and the pace of ops themselves should be eaiser for people to prepare for, rather than a relentless commitment to 23/7 pos war. On days where we won't be having strategic ops, we'll be having non-BS*fagging gangs. These are fun, help us keep Delve suppressed, and don't deplete our BS reserves in QY6. People have been having a blast with them these past two weeks, and we should keep that up. Your orders: 1. Stockpile Battleships to QY6: Then bring more. Use Mykow's service, do whatever it takes, but bring and stash multiple battleship hulls ready to go on strategic ops in QY6. This has both the defensive purpose of keeping QY6 firmly in our hands, and the offensive purpose of allowing us to greatly enhance our BS/support ratio on strategic ops. 2. Bring Battleships on Strategic Ops: If you can fly them and have them, we want you in a BS, be it a fleet or RR BS depending on the op announcement. 3. Do not use Battleships on*fagging Ops: Battleships are precious and not to be wasted. Fly fun ships on***fag ops, BC and below, don't deplete your stockpile by losing a BS pointlessly. It's difficult to import battleships, even with mykow's services; you can't depend on resupply, so we shouldn't expend them needlessly. Your signature is too large. For more than a year our focus has been entirely on BoB, BoB pets, allies, renters and wildcards who may or may not have something to do with our little internet vendetta. But the range of targets for our agents has gradually declined; most all of the pets are dead, and beyond the usual 'get in BoB' directive we need to start positioning our intelligence apparatus to respond to the post-War environment. This means, essentially, that we need an assload of new agents spread out amongst a dizzying array of targets. We planned the BoB war, we have a couple of other plans after BoB, but the purpose of the GIA has always been defensive: to give early warning of extinction level threats to the Swarm. Also, to ** over pubbies in hilarious and fun ways, where possible. But now we're running a little low on obvious extinction level threats, so this drive aims to place a huge number of agents across a wide variety of 0.0 targets. Being an agent means surrounding yourself with drooling pubbies who you hate. It can be a grueling, miserable task; some postings are horrifically boring and don't seem like they're strategically relevant. Despite this, agents consistently report that being in the GIA is the most fun they've had in eve; there's something special about seeing a chat** thread that everyone gets a kick out of and saying 'I did that', or quietly embezzling billions from your 'corpmates' who you loathe, or arranging for the accidental annihilation of a freighter convoy. You don't need much isk to spy, just a second account. You also don't need that much experience playing EVE; you primarily need to be a convincing liar, and your targets are mere internet nerds. To the best of my knowledge the only thing BoB needs are skilled pilots to succeed, which they have a nice supply. Isk isnt a problem.
