Why the sec status hit for suicied ganking is unfair for Eve patriots.

Noone will contest this fact but why oh why do we have such an obsticle to keeping them in check as the instadrop sec status system of such harsh penaltys for aggressing players in empire? We the playerbase have taken it upon ourselves to police our economy for the betterment of all by targeting the metagamers and slackers of Eve for swift and justified punishment. Hear our cries of injustice O CCP and halve the sec hit for punishing the unclean of Eve with the rightous fire of our holy aggression upon the unclean. Yes?
Element 22 Gallente	Posted - 2008.05.04 06:39:00 - [2] No. Because while sec status isn't a real deterrent to pirating, halving it would mean that more and more sucicide gankers would go to high sec and there would be a collective outcry like a 1000 people loosing their CNR to someone who will profit with absolutly no penalty to them. If you want to halve sec status drops then make it much harder for suciciders. Also, and I know that realism is something never to aim for in eve, it isn't realistic that you should be able to attack other people violently a number of times before you're no longer allowed into the nice parts of the universe. This my dear is why we can never have anything, everytime we go to a nice 1.0 system you insist on attacking everything in sight

The reason, quite simply, is that macro jackasses aren't the only people being suicide ganked. Maybe a decrease to the sec standing hit for killing someone in an NPC corp is in order. I mean killing an NPC corp character is already a double-edged sword, since you take a standing hit with both CONCORD and your victims faction.

Now don't get me wrong i don't target every hulk in sight thats mining in my area as I think high sec ore is anyones game but when they never ever communicate with you and have names like Happy Sky and Glorious Pony you start to have your doubts. Yes? 1 simple reason, this allows you to kill normal players twice as often too, not just macro's, and don't try to tell me suicide gankers don't go after real people.

They do and most likey would but other than that tiny blip on the map where the goons were running their little jihad pr stunt suicide ganking is a one of the least common ways to die in Eve. Besides CCP could halve the hit for ship destruction and triple the hit for podding. This would make it very very risky to use smartbombing ships and would force most suiciders into ships you might have a chance to tank. It could work.
