D2 had tons of caps, MM had tons of caps.
But you're kinda right anyway, steamrolling the north was no huge accomplishment considering D2 was already a rotting carcass and the rest were looking to them for leadership and well, not getting any.
MC had a pretty big bandwagon going against a terribly coordinated and organized bunch of alliances that had no leadership at all.
But MC did organize their group of alliances and put in a lot of work killing D2 specials and organizing and hauling and whatnot, so it was somewhat impressive despite the lack of real resistance.
I don't think it's fair to call them incompetent, altho they certainly have been since christmas and they did fail to kill IAC like four times

I see a lot people here that i never thought would say such kind words about MC and the work we have done, I would like to thank thank everyone in the alliance and the friends that were with us in PB and wish them the best of luck in the game. It's very sad to see the alliance fall but a lot of us will walk away with a lot of great memory's and friends. I'm 100% sure that any of the corps from MC could go along way in this game and I'm sure a lot of alliances would like to take a bit of MC in (corp). For now, its time for us to see another side of the game and have fun with friends .
Ps, never thought id see the day of ET wishing us luck, its good to see that and i thank you for it ^_^

So because MC did have a view on how to win a battle and the biggest part of the North didn't at the time says MC didn't do well ? I'm confused....
Maybe because MC showed how capitals can and should be used back then made it to the amount of using them today?
They where a worthy opponent to anyone at the time , the only thing that could be said is that maybe they didn't evolve further when the other alliances did and never should have settled like they did in 0.0 imho.

The whole northern campaign was against such strong and imprresive alliances. Freelancer alliance man they fielded massive caps. And of course there were other alliances there. Tyrrax is right D2 was allready dead when MC came in and thats why they came in. Its obvious MC cannot handle Cap on Cap fights. Once again they were weak. There is no room for the weak in eve.

What a load of old tosh. MC always chose to fight on the winning side.
The fact they always insisted they were independent mercs was an insult to the rest of the industry.
Now for the first time they find there own backs to the wall and no massive advantage in capital ship numbers they cave in like a pack of cards.
People like the Freelancer alliance put MC to shame when it comes down too facing overwhelming odds.
For a so called PVP allaince your a joke.

MC will always have a place in Eve history, and as one of its biggest fans and supporters, a place in my heart.
Among the many massively impressive things MC was able to pull off was getting 10 alliances working TOGETHER to achieve a goal, achieving that goal, and then moving on without backstabbing any of them.
Declaring a much deserved independence in the eyes of *most* was in no way a backstab to BOB, and MC held the longest reputation of keeping their word and holding an honor so exceedingly rare in Eve.
I still dare to hope another entity will shine one day and be in the WIN column without need of "dirty tricks" and server hacking to get ahead.
Farewell to a super alliance and a legend that will not be forgotten. o7

Stop being bitter because we were better than you, since I assume you were part of the north that got stompped at that time. It makes you look like a whiney little beeyatch.
