The time I spent in the Sex Panthers alliance was some of the best fun I've had in Eve so far, and was a truly useful and great learning experience in the PvP side of the game. I'll always hold Cran and many of the other Muffins near and dear to my heart. The hate and vitriol in this thread saddens me--as does the idea that the hack was an inside job. Pirate or not, there is a certain level of betrayal that I just can't understand or support. Not much else to say really...just wanted to show support for a bunch of folks who showed me a damn good time in this game.

There are certain basic things that you need to do to protect yourself against malicious code being run on your computer. You just can't trust anything downloaded from the internet anymore. I would personally run a GOOD anti-virus and anti-spyware right now. If that doesn't catch anything, then I would IMMEDIATELY reformat my hard drive, backing up only "read only" data. There is a VERY good chance that you could lose a LOT more than just your EVE items! People use keyloggers to hack bank accounts, personal info, etc etc... Once your computer is "clean" again, I would change passwords on EVERYTHING. Good luck on recovering from this disaster, it sucks, I know. My bro got his account hacked from a "drive-by" virus from an advertisement on thottbot. Goes to show how important computer security is, thanks to the invulnerability *****ers get thanks to the internet's anonymity.

But back to loyalty, if you dont have loyalty to a group of players and instantly switch sides when something happens that you dont like, what does that show about you? Why must corporations trust you in their midst if you will betray those who flew with you, trusted you and even shared ships, fittings and ISK with you? Why should anyone trust you if you have NO LOYALTY to anyone at all except yourself. In that case, an NPC corporation would be best for you and your kind, as the only loyalty a person in an NPC corporation holds is to themselves, and you wouldnt be fit as a CEO because you would need loyalty to those in your corporation, otherwise who would trust you not to steal from them like you did to US, YOUR FAMILY. Unlike some people, who have stuck it by Cran's mood swings and put up with getting randomly screamed at for the free Crystal implants and capital ships, none of us who left to form Trill were ever in it for the money. Personally, I probably made somewhere around 200m from factory camps. The first two months were pretty dry of any good drops, and the last two had a few good ones that were split TWENTY WAYS between the giant ass maelstrom blob we started rollin' on the gate. If money was what I was in it for I definitely joind the wrong corp. We were all in it for the comradery, and the pretty explosions, which is why when we got fed up with Cran we left to form our own corporation based off those same core values: having fun, and blowing ** up. Plus, speaking of jumping ship...weren't you asking to join us just the other day?

I purchased it from the corp for myself. And in my time with the factory, I actually lost money. I began in the Factory with around 2billion ISK or so...I have around 700 million in liquid ISK on my alt, and I havent counted my ships and items that are on my alt aswell. Should reactivate her to transfer the items over and make an estimated ISK value of what I have to sell and go into hibernation. They're undeniably effective, and while the claim that they're one of the '8 pirate groups left' is a bit exaggerated, you can't say their camps aren't very effective and that they're not a easy group to fight against. That would probably be because I was too lazy to read enough of the thread to make sure it was still on topic . But regardless, my advice is still relevant to everyone who plays EVE. You want to secure your computer system BEFORE you get hit with a keylogger!
