Hello everyone
I remember seeing, ages ago, a thread where someone was trying to compile a user manual for a Rifter. I never heard anything further on that project. Well I've "borrowed" that person's idea and made a user manual for the Kestrel.
It's still work in progress at the moment but I really wanted to get some feedback on it before I polished it off. Please could you lovely people give me whatever comments and suggestions you feel appropriate.

Very nice work.
Keep it up, expand to other ships.
Maybe CCP should hire you(Contract out to you) the creation of an equivilent manual for all ships in the game. (HINT HINT CCP)

could also try a 'different' aproach to the Kestrel.. Use it to fire on drones in Fleet engagements (trust me.. unless your shooting at another frigate your light missles aint gonna hurt a bigger ship 'mutch'.. BUT.. people start gettign worried when their support/combat drones start dissapearing. Here's something 'close' to what i have on my kestrel.

useing standard launchers cause im to cheep to buy the better ones =D But it works rather well at poping drones... Being a frigate in a fleet engagement i tend to get ignored unless im warp-jamming someone people always tend to target the bigest 'threat' first so ive been free to fire on drones (managed to pop a few tech 2's and even had someoen in a Enimy fleet STOP repping his buddy and instead started repping his own drones! lol. Could also possibly be used as a anti-fighter platform.. as a Kestral 'can' be a pain to cruisers.. and thats basicaly what a fighter is. and they move slow enough that the light missles whont have any trouble hitting them.

that's true, i hadn't checked when i was compiling it. I'll get that removed next edition.

This made me smile, i used to fly a kessie alot when i was an empire war dec monkey. Its a great ship to learn the PVP trade. Good stuff.

I have completely finished chapter 2 now. Just slowly working my way through chapter 3, i consider this the hardest chapter because I have to make stuff up that actually sounds believable.

This is awesome. The Kestrel was my favorite ship back in the day. Still use it once in a while for pvp.

Due to the various cowlings, radomes, launch tubes, launch tube vents, and other various nooks and crannies that cover the front end of the Kestrel, it is highly adviseable NOT to fly through the explosion ball after you pod the **** out of someone. Yes, we know it looks very cool when pilots do it in the movies. But trust me, scrubbing frozen corpse goo out of missile bay 3 is not how you want to spend your Saturday.

a good low sec tank setup for ratting that any noob can do in a kest that i use with my noob account..
noob setup for ratting in low sec with low ship skills.
2 standerd missile lunchers.
2 rocket lunchers for when you get rushed buy the frig rats.
1 meduim shield 1 damp or ecm for defance just incase somone drops in on you ratting.
2 pdu's the best ones you can get.

Almost forgot to add, with my current skills i can lob light missles 33km so =D i have a long reach hehe.
