More reds that are smashkill groupies didn't play into long term health for us. Our policy was solidified from day one when they moved up and joined in roaming ops against us with smashkill. I did find this quote funny though: "News = Average age in Goonswarm = 12" This from the group that felt it necessary to spam my main with convos and fill up my eve-mail box with crap Sunday night. This included quite a few of the smashkill leadership. But either way, if the GOONs are 12, how does it feel to get curb stomped by a bunch of 12 year olds?

It's not really a breath-taking statement (in fact, it can happen, it is possible and/or doable) so you are entitled to use mains here. But you are right that, obviously, is not perfect to determine actual strengh. I give you that. But you would have to recognize that, at first, when it was just ED and IRC, those numbers were not really on our side (not even close) right?

Looks like fantasy to me. I donÆt know of any wars in recent history where the parties sat down prior to fighting and had drawn up victory conditions. In EVE (as in RL) everyone is free to decide for themselves; however, some victories are pretty obvious (like taking a system with an outpost), while others are questionable (like killing an afk supercap). ...

Actually, Solar Dragons split off of RA and formed Solar Fleet so that RA could keep Smash and R0adkill set blue until they finished whatever it was they were doing in Delve at the time. There was even a ton of stink and propaganda about stolen this and smack-talk that thrown around to boot. All of that happened before FIX was invited into Oasa. For the last year, we have had a ton of good pew pew on both sides, within a reasonable number of jumps. Until just recently (R-6), there had been a few half-hearted efforts to contest sov against us or our close allies, but nothing that came even close to succeeding. Then the balance of power was upset (on both sides). Now there must be all-out war, and we either fight with everything we have, or we will end up losing our space. That happened before, almost exactly one year ago. We don't want that to happen again. I miss the "old days" (of six months ago), when we could go roaming in smashkill space, and them into ours, and everyone had a good time without anything of real importance at stake. All things must change. But I don't necessarily have to like it.

In line with a couple of earlier posts, it has been really fun to fight atlas/fix/smash etc ... been missing decent pvp for a while now and its been good on both sides. Thou gh i am knackered now after serveral almost 20 hours days :) You really should read the description of the Vagabond. The ship is used exactly as it is supposed to be. The fact that the "light" HAC of each other race can also make a good addition to a light-skirmish gang doesn't make them broken. Recons also work exactly like they are supposed to. Its all about asymmetric warfare and every even moderately serious PVP alliance uses all classes of ships and all gang configurations for their intended purpose. The nano-phoons and domis were broken but there really is nothing wrong with speed now and its completely defensible; although yes it is hard to catch and kill all/most members of a skilled gang and you often have to be satisfied with one or two kills and running them off. But if hostile incursions frequently resulted in total destruction for the invader it wouldn't happen often and there wouldn't be nearly as much PVP. Also there are many interesting and fun escalation scenarios that can happen starting with these fleets...I think they add a lot to the game it shouldn't just be about tank and gank.

Remember just because you get on the CSM, doesn't mean that anyone has to listen to you. You might find sitting on a council with people that have such a low opinion of you is not much fun, when you have to meet them face to face. If in doubt go in with the real life insults.
