I really don't understand what you're trying to do.
If you're receiving the pilot info, the IGB works and the problem is in your page. --- Jaka's T2 Construction Component Shop Run your own shop! |

Edited by: Ramov Tinoga on 06/06/2006 09:43:11 About authentication / login with the IGB:
The trusted headers can easily be forged with any program that allows you to send hand made headers in the request.
One way to store authentication info would be server side with something like this:
- Get pilot info via trusted EVE headers
- Present a password login for the pilot
- If login is correct, add pilot to the "current visitors" list (some table in the server's database, ~1h [or something] validity) and use that info rather than anything on the client's side
- If login is not correct [e.g. after 5 attempts], block the named pilot / IP for a while
The advantage of this process is that you don't have to rely on any IGB features other than the trusted headers sent (which work pretty reliably).
The disadvantage is the (slightly) higher load on the server. -----

Edited by: Syri Dominus on 06/06/2006 15:20:58 I'm currently developing for the IGB and everything is working fine, but to decrease lag with many images I intend to group them all into one and use imagemaps, which has been said to be supported multiple times.
But yet me nor others seem to get it working?
I don't mean to bad mouth your work Traveler, but I am unable to get it work:
http://home.syranide.com/imagemap.php
This is the simplest possible I could come up with using imagemaps, it is clickable to the left and the cursor shows up, but nothing happens, nothing at all.
If this really works, would you please mind just giving us a minimal working example/code of imagemaps? As apparently, it seems to respond, but not just navigate.
Otherwise I must say I love the IGB, I could only wish for having the possibility to open multiple IGBs too ;)

Syri Dominus: I tried to, but can't get image maps to work either. Neither <map>/<area> (client side) ones, nor <img ismap=""> (server side) ones.

i've read through here and found it most useful, however the only real question i have is how do you find out someones id,
At current ingame the browse or search system is used just type in a name and bosh list of related names to the file. However apart from going to your cache and looking at portraits i dont see any real way of doing this? i am part way through building a war system for my corp and wanted the ability to add to a personal db the id of targets and username. obviously the way i envisaged this was either they type in the username and then it gets charid from the related charname.

Character IDs can be gotten by headers if your site is trusted, and (apparently) by having a form and an input field and you then drag a person onto that field and its ID will appear.

thanks :) i tried via input boxes however that doesnt work. I tried with TEXTAREA's and that allows me to drag and drop peoples names in and gives me the options of showinfo etc.. on selecting show info and then posting that information e.g. 1 name when i echo the post it shows the name and has it showing as if its a link however it doesnt have any link info? and doesnt actually link anywhere???
i checked the source and this is what it showed from a link of a corp mate. <a href=\"showinfo:1378//146987180\">Ziro</a> now i beleive that should work? but it doesnt... i cant post my page code if thats any help. im pretty sure i previously used 1373 instead of 1378?
im guessing explode the string out and split it down and then rebuild it? any advice would be appreciated.

Is all the needs to be done if I'm not mistaken, can't access my source code right now. You don't _need_ to specify item group.
If this is not working for you, start a new one with better information and people will help you there, this is a bug thread.

I am having a problem with the IGB, basically I cannot load up any webpage in the in game broswer.
All I get is:
URL ERROR HTTP ERROR -1
and that is it. it does not matter which page I try to load, it even comes up with the standard igb page (when I open IGB)

I've noticed lately that the IGB no longer is supporting cellspacing on tables. It just completely ignores the spacing between cells but does put it around the edge of the table..
Can anyone confirm this?

Hello,
If I knew the CharID of a friend (like a corpmate), how can I manage to say to the IGB that all the datas I want him to recover are the ones which are related to my friend's Char ID ?
I want to retrieve some data like his station, his system and so on in order to have a sort of GPS on our Intranet.
Thanks in advance for your help.

if a page has radio-buttons, and you scroll up until the radio buttons are'nt within the viewable area anymore and then scroll down again, the radio-buttons are gone.

Hey,
iv got the following code to save a characters portrait to file which works perfect:
$im = imagecreatefromjpeg("http://img.eve.is/serv.asp?s=64&c=$charid"); imagepng($im,$filename); imagedestroy($im);
However, I would also like to do the same for the corp logo. Is there a way of doing like the above? or any way at all?

Unfortunately not.
<img src="corplogo:'.$corpid.'" size="64"> produces the corp logo in-game, but there is no way to save this to file. It's not available through img.eve.is either, nor is it cached by the in-game browser.

Cellspacing doesn't work in the horizontal direction (vertically it's partially working).
Cellpadding is completely broken.
I reported and wrote a demo page for this bug one month ago. Nobody ever even looked at it.

Is there a systemID tag sent via the browser. I can access the systemname the same way as the coprname etc.
It seems odd to only provide the IDs corp and char?
Am I missing something?

Im not sure if this has been posted yet, but the web browser takes out the caps from any link that is clicked from the chat window.
like if i put in http://photobucket.com/albums/v162/BlaBla/
it goes into the browser as http://photobucket.com/albums/v162/blabla/
which is really anoyying since photobucket is what i use for EVE screenies and its case sensitive. ---------------- Meet... bunneh:

Edited by: Trinity TheOne on 04/07/2006 16:14:23 Very interesting issues in here. And I have an offer for another lanuages.
EVE in game browser have to support more 'charset', 'EUC_KR' or 'UTF8', for multi-byte languages.
Who can handle this? I'll look forward some thread.
Thank you.
