The patch notes do not list changes made to the material requirements for building covert ops frigates. Based on what I'm seeing on the Helios blueprint, it appears certain mineral requirements were increased to compensate for the lower mineral costs needed to produce an Imicus (the new T1 base) vs. a Maulus (the old T1 base). I suspect similar changes were made to the Anathema and Cheetah blueprints, but I can't verify since I did not happen to save any data from the pre-patch blueprint stats like I did for the Helios.
While I can understand why these changes may have been made, they represent a significant increase in minerals needed to build T2 ships of their size at the T2 BPO stage. For instance, a my ME 30 Helios BPO used to require 803 units of tritanium for a single build, but now requires 7,945. Overall cost to build the ships probably has changed very little because the new base ships are cheaper to build, but it does mean the T2 builders need to adjust their production methods and mineral supplies, especially if they buy the T1 ships rather than build them. This should have been put in the patch notes at the least.
The sections of the patch notes I quoted below do not mention these changes; either spot might have been a good place to note the changes.
Quote: CHANGES
Ships
* Heron: capacity increased to 320m3 to match the other astrometrics frigates. Volume increased to 18,900m3, maximum targeting range decreased to 37,500m and gravimetric strength decreased to 10. * The Imicus has had its mass decreased to 1,350,000kg and volume decreased to 21500m3. * The Probe has had its ladar strength increased to 7. * The Anathema has had its model changed. It will now use the Magnate hull instead of the Crucifer hull * The Helios has had its model changed. It will now use the Imicus hull instead of the Maulus hull. * The Cheetah has had its model changed. It will now use the Probe hull instead of the Vigil Hull. * Caracal Navy Issue: Increased CPU output to 415tf, decreased power output to 690mw, added a launcher hard point, decreased shield recharge time to 1650s and tweaked the sensor system to make it in line with the other tier 2 faction cruisers. * Apocalypse Navy Issue: The Apocalypse recent modifications have been mirrored to the Navy version. Changed the capacitor capacity bonus to a bonus to large energy turret optimal range bonus, increased capacitor capacity to 7500.0, increased CPU output to 505tf and increased power output to 20500mw * Stabber Fleet Issue: Velocity bonus changed to 10% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret tracking speed per level, moved a slot from high to low, added a turret hard point, increased max velocity, decreased the CPU output to 312tf, increased the drone bay and bandwidth to 40, increased power output to 950mw, increased armor HP and decreased shield HP
Quote: FIXES
Science & Industry
* The search panel for finding your blueprints has been corrected to say "Types" and not "Copies". * The invention time of the Signal Distortion Amplifier has been corrected. It previously took too much time. * If you had an installed corporation research job in a station office when it expired, your blueprint was sometimes returned to an invalid location when you delivered the job. This has now been fixed and the blueprint will be delivered in the station in which it was installed. * Manufacturing waste amounts will now round correctly. * Some clipped text has been fixed on the ôAccept Quoteö window. * Waste calculations on all jobs from a Blueprint are now working correctly. Now when installing a single run or multiple run job, you will no longer receive an incorrect mineral requirement amount warning when the proper amount of minerals are available in your hangar. * An exception was thrown when right clicking mobile laboratories in the blueprints tabs of the Science & Industry window. This has been fixed.

By the way, the above mentioned change to mineral requirements on covert ops blueprints amounts to a nerf to invented BPCs, since their higher ME levels mean they are forced to overcompensate for the differences in T1 ship mineral reqs. Of course, this is a very small amount of minerals difference per unit, but it does add up over time.

I haven't heard anyone else mention this but since I applied the latest patch a couple of days ago:
when I open my items instead of opening a new window it puts a tab on the chat window - which is a pain as I like to keep the chat small as I generally have a lot of items in the hangar of the station I am missioning out of.
I have cleared the cache using the ESC menu but that had no effect.

Confirming disconnect issue, happens quite frequently now since the new patch. happens mostly in the evening as well, around 6pm-9pm CST (GMT -6). This is a consistent thing as well, I normally play around these hours and has been happening ever since the EA patch. Ive installed the bonus patch as well.
Once disconnects start, I get maybe 2-4 minutes from login before I get kicked again. Ive gone thru 5 or 6 disconnects before giving up and trying again next day...very annoying.

Guess you won't fix the disconnect issues until you get to work Monday, but this weekend has been the pits. It has been getting progressively worse as time goes on.
This reminds me of your database issues some time back.
Wouldn't have your job for anything.

The connection issues people are experiencing is not related to the Empyrean Age expansion. The issues you are experiencing is on an Internet Service Provider level and there is not much other than relaying the information about the status of their work to you. Let me get this straight regarding those "waypost".
You can scan all of them down with normal exploration probes just like we do currently with "unknown" (useing any type ladargravmagnoradar Cause im getting NO luck at all,
Is is like we deploy our probes and use then cosmic signatures or anomalies after reading your explanation dev's it sounds blurry.

I did not see this on the topic list so here goes: When ice mining with mackinaws and a rorqual, the mackinaws get all bonuses. However, when you deploy the rorqual to compress the ore, all subsequent cycles of all mackinaws in gang will only produce 1 block of ice per laser per cycle, effectively halving it. Turning off the lasers and restarting them fixes it, but that is ridiculous to do if you must deploy the rorqual several times to compress all the ice. Thank you so much!

I didn't see this in the list, but when you dock/undock your overview settings return to some kind of default "unsaved" setting instead of whatever you left it at.
Also, I would like to submit that if you get disconnected while in a fleet and you reconnect (within a reasonable time limit) you should still be a member of whatever squad you were a member of before.

Edited by: Isilwen Nightfall on 28/06/2008 11:42:42 There is still the "Wrong color schemes bug" in Caldari AFs.
I reported this bug in january, but it hasn't been fixed yet.
Quote:
Description:
Hi:) I just noticed a little bug. Harpy and Hawk have inverted color schemes. Being Lai Dai, Hawk should be rust-colored. Harpy instead should be blue-camo, being Ishukone.
Do not know if other ships are affected by this problem.
/tested on chaos 47313 /BH Eliohann
Reproduction Steps:
/1. check Lai Dai ships (Manticore, Kitsune, Cerberus, ...) and notice the redish/rusty finish /2. check Ishukone ships (Buzzard, Vulture, ...) and note the silvery shiny finish /3. check Kaalakiota ships (Nighthawk, Onyx, Flycatcher, ...) and note the black finsih /4. check the Harpy and note, that although being Ishukone it looks like Lai Dai / -all other T2 ships are in line / -screen attached /BH Eliohann
It says:

Originally by: Botia Macracantha ... 3. i STILL seem to get rendering-stop (3D images freeze) after some time playing when undocking / session change / in-flight (original bug rep 55612 - filtered). Sometimes resets on next session change but then returns on subsequent session change etc etc. Can only "fix" by logging off all accounts + cold boot (ie memory cleared). Happens quicker when using more than one account, but I have seen it even on a single account. This issue dates back to Trinity implementation, was bug repped by me and others - but still happens, and is yet still not acknowledged. I am convinced it is related to the way Eve progressively gobbles RAM until the fault occurs at some threshold usage level per account. I use a laptop and have a cooling base as well as external fans cooling it. In any case, I see no other artifacts associated with overheating (no BSODs, no flickers, so other visual issues, no issues with other games, just Eve) ...
I was having a similar problem to what you describe. It always occurred when i was undocking. The 3D engine would stall but the 2D overview worked fine; you could see the brackets fly by while warping and the overview update, etc.
It was resolved by enabling station environments. I had it disabled to keep my machine cooler, but it caused the symptoms above. I don't know if this solution applies to you.
I also get this every so often. Clicking the zoom in/out or the 'look at my ship' button (looks like a shuttle, next to the 'cargo' button) fixes the issue (until the next time it happens).
The camera appears to become locked in place, with an unusual view projection (almost isometric). Meanwhile 2d UI elements (brackets etc) move as normal. It happens most often if I try to warp immediately after undocking. My ship goes into warp, the brackets move off into the distance correctly, but the 3d rendering (models etc.) become locked in that unusual projection mode.
Running on a newly installed version of the client, with all settings cleared prior to install. This has been happening since EA 1.0 |

When I tried to join faction warfare after dropping my old corporation, I was given an error saying my standings were only .22 and they needed to be .5
Its true, my base standings are .22 but they're adjusted higher with Connections 3 to something like 1.3, so faction requirements are only looking at the base standings instead of adjusted standings.

posted elsewhere but as of yesterday I am getting tremendous lag when jumping into systems, accessing the market by selling items, browsing, etc. And accessing character info (clicking on a pilot to check them out) also causes extreme lag.
Specifically 30 seconds freeze ups by any of these actions!

rarely, (~5 times since ea patch) drones ordered to return to bay will fly back to the ship, some will dock, others will act as if they were abandoned. i hot keyed the dock command and it still happens, various ships and drone type.
another person mention in corp chat also having same problem, so it's not isolated to me. bug reported..

The issue regarding the discrepancy between 'contested' showing on UI and map that you somehow 'tested OK' is still present. Furthermore most of the people actively capturing sites regularly encounter it, so doubtful that its a cache/setting issue.
New Stuff. I need help testing these as they are intermittent. Also have no idea how to report them as bugs due their nature.
1. Friendly Navy aggro can switch to defender for no reason. Only seen it happen when range from Navy-to-Player is <100-150km. Happens frequently when a nano-ship is trailing them to hold aggro. Had a wingman report that I appeared to flash red for a second immediately prior to the Navy targeting me. (the fact that a single fast ship can tie up 20+ navy vessels is a different complaint)
2. Sites get 'stuck' fairly often. Have not identified any pattern to it. The timer will run out and sometimes credit is given, but not always. Site remains in space until downtime without beacon on overview.
3. The Amarr Navy's heavy reliance on EM as damage type makes them a lot easier to tank. Adding some heavy nossing/neuting or missile spamming ships in mix would solve that.

The map shows nothing about ôunder attackö. Not a defect or bug.
I THINK YOU MISSED WHAT HE WAS SAYING
As I detail in my thread here, there are persistent issues with both the map and the main screen 'current system' information that are unresolved.
Everyone I talk with in FW that looks for this information have all confirmed the issue.
THE ISSUE IS: Occupancy is not correctly reflecting if a system is in 'contested' state or not.
Of course there are 2 places we get this info. Both off the map (which may simply not be updating) AND on the main screen in space under 'current system information'. Beside the Occupancy it should show both the faction that occupies AND if the system is contested or not.
To further assist your troubleshooting: -if under 'current system information' it shows as contested, it most definitely is. If it doesn't say, it's anyones guess.
-if on the map it shows as contested it likely was at some point. It is unclear if it simply takes a long time to update contested status, or if it simply doesn't update correctly at all. "one more spam thread will get you a warning. - Thanks Hutch. " isn't a warning of a warning a warning? or just a warning of a warning? didnt he just get 'the warning'?

further...
Sometimes after a relog the information will be correctly updated/reflected.
I have tested to see if that is all that is necessary. Multiple times i have done several relogs in the same system with no changes being made in the contested system. Some times it showed contested, other times it didn't.
Same system, totally random... just doesn't make sense and MUST be a bug. After going through this with several other pilots, there is no way this is a customer side issue. "one more spam thread will get you a warning. - Thanks Hutch. " isn't a warning of a warning a warning? or just a warning of a warning? didnt he just get 'the warning'?
