There were two pretty amasing fights that Ill remember for evar and evar!
1) MJ- Taking this system took about a week or two, but the battles had their were epic, hundreds dead a day, cap kills, tower kills, massive 200 vs 300 man fleet fights. battles raging over hours.
http://roadkill.igs-corp.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12082 and http://roadkill.igs-corp.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=11245 And the big one: http://roadkill.igs-corp.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=11083
2) BNX, The fight lasted over 6 hours, http://roadkill.igs-corp.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=79320 |

The battle for 1v- was pretty amazing given how much of a rollercoaster it was. It was pretty shattering to see our massive sniper gatecamp destroyed by the suprise DD but then dear leader heckled everyone to get back in new ships and convoy down and we're still going to win guys.
Remedial might go down in the annals as the guy who stole a load of people's donations and had his little titan posted all over the internet but we did pretty well by him before he went crazy v0v

Well latest memorable are:
1. battle for BNX 2. R6 siege
Both were nuts. Get in ship, fight, killed...get in ship, fight, killed...etc :P

The taking down of the CoW POS in 9GNS in Syndicate for Goonswarm was also a highlight. We were lacking in capitals and the tower was well setup. We asked if GS could lend support.
Cue 200 goons throwing themselves repeatedly at the pos to draw fire. The cans stretched like a chain of pearls across 100km of space. When they died they just grabbed another frig/cruiser and did it again until the POS was down.
Was an amazing sight to behold, and one of the reasons why - as much as some of them wind me up by being terrible poasters - we love the bees.
KIA - Don't ask me, I was off grid.

The most memorable engagement I participated in was the first big assault from BRUCE on XZH where at the time The Reckoning n BCA where stationed.
The fight took over 2 hours where we started off against an 80 man BRUCE fleet with about 38 pilots, both sides kept reinforcements coming in. And the battle that started at the gate went on at the station and later on at the gate again, where BRUCE was suffering loads of casualties we only lost a few ships.
Small bit of the battle is on the BCA killboard Battle Summary
The rest was on the reckoning killboard, which probably isnt up yet anymore.
Just a shame they jumped 80 cap ships on us a few days later.

Best fleet encounter I have ever been in was assisting in the defense of the station in (1-N) during the early tortuga days. It was fun while it lasted.

Originally by: Gneeznow The fight in RIT-A7 on the p8- gate vs RISE, Rise just kept coming back over and over and over again, some RISE guys lost 7 ships for example, after about 3 or so hours of fighting it was down to the point where people had long since run out of ammo and were tackling stuff as they went between wrecks checking for ammo, I was in a vaga that was in hull from the start of the fight and had managed to loot some hail from a wreck and was pretty much flying right up on top of people shoving a load of hail down their throats while being in a ball of flames from the structure fires.
Initially it was a 10 man PL hac / recon and 25 man TCF light roaming gang vs a lot of support and a bunch of capitals on a gate, when the Goons arrived we outnumbered them and managed to catch all 7 capitals that Rise had put on the gate, it was one helluva fight, there was probably 200 wrecks on that gate by the end.
I was present at the RIT party. I confirm that this 3-hours-non-stop-engagement was really awesome. The best fight i ever took part. Here is a video of the fight

I have been involved in many a fight indicated in this thread, via one char or another, however RIT is likely the best to date.
It wasn't the time, nor the numbers, it was the fact that each time RISE came back in, it wasn't in 1-2's, it was a proper gang / effort, often in larger numbers / ships each time.
The final battle was multi carriers and support, did not go well for RISE that day, but of course they didn't know Goons where only a few jumps away when they started that final assault.
Also for whatever reason, Eve worked that day, and it wasn't your typical lag combat we get from Bob, in Delve.
As for the Xirt fights in this thread, each time I wanted to shoot Xirt more then the nme, tbh

I was there at the battle for MJ as well and that was the biggest I'd seen and have yet to see. 500-600 in system just going at it
(the lag....dear god save me.)
Finally the devs step in and ask "what's going on in here...whoa.."

Originally by: Straight Chillen This probably doesnt deserve to even be mentioned here, But my personal Favorite was when my Old Alliance, Stellar Legion, set a trap and hot dropped a AAA titan and 100+ man sniper fleet on the combined forces of OSS, NOTR, Huzzah, SWAT, and Decorum when they were trying to take out our POS. I just wish i couldve been on their TS when that cyno opened.
Other favorites include, The 49-u Siege back in my IAC days, aswell as the subsiquent alamos of 25-s and FAT-, Had a real nice fight in ED- as well
LOL i was on that TS,it was pretty ******* panicky tbh.
I was doing well aswell my vaga was tackling your tacklers and trying to pop the dictors when i eventually succumbed to lag and MWD'd off the grid...
I then proceeded to camp the station and hope for the best. |

June 2003.
Pics
First battleship to go pop on TQ. A scorpion, piloted by Raven Deblade, escorted by a few cruisers (I'm the maller in the pictures) vs j0rt's dominix with his m0o buddies at the infamous Passari chokepoint, amidst a cloud of cans with 1 ammo round in each. It was a lagfest, the cans made it hard to target them (hydra would have loved that) Scorpion went pop, then m0o left the gate, we got to pop Stavros's maller though and maybe another superheatsinkstackedmaller. Beat that.

It would have been shortly after 49-U6U feel to IAC / Goons and so many others
During the battle that resulted after a BOB Titan did a DD near a gate and got tackled , resulting in forces from
Northern Force - Based in Querious AAA MC Goons IAC BOB and just about every pilot within 30 jump plus radius all rushing to 49-U6U to either kill or defend a trapped Titan
result being a crashed node and a number of capitals destroyed that logged in upon recovery of the node

Edited by: Vandamsel on 17/06/2008 04:59:18 This fight wasn't some huge 400 person 0.0 fight that lasted hours, but it stands out as my favorite.
Repo gets a contract for a POS save against Daedalus Hegemony. Support forms up, heads to target system, wait a couple jumps out for the call to head in. We get the call, warp to the POS, enemy fleet panics and warps off. We manage to catch their Revelation, witch melts. Just as we pop the rev, the rest of the Daedalus fleet warps in to try and save it. The ensuing fight lasts only about a half hour, with Repo destroying the Daedalus support and capitals, and taking minimal losses. No other fight had my heart pumping like that one

For me it was a battle in the rancer pipe. This was before [GROPE] was formed, and was a get acquiented fleet made up by Me and a Corpie and one of the guy my previous corp merged with.
Us: Blackbird, Vexor and Thorax
Anti-pies: Caracal, Caracal and Caracal
We were looking for the Caracals and the Caracals were looking for us as well. We warp in on them, as 2 caracals warp out, I tackle one, and start pounding him, while calling in my buddies who arrive slightly after the caracals buddies. My tank is slowly breaking, until the first caracal pops. After we start engaging the next caracal, my tank is just holding, before we pop that, shortly followed by the third one.
Maybe not as epic as the other fights in this thread, but so far, definitvely my favourite.
Kills: 3 Caracals
Losses: 0 Ships
we are recruiting!

3) FE vs. Fade - my first war. I got slaughtered again and again. Loved every minute.
