The only time BoB capitals were in Geminate was never. So in order to 'help us more' than RAZOR all they had to do was nothing.

I would imagine that the coalition has rules of conduct that all blue members must abide by, it would get pretty chaotic if there weren't. If in your example RA did that to MM I am sure the diplomats would talk to the diplomats of the other coalition members and would deliver the message to the RA diplomats with the expectation of compensation for whatever was lost. I doubt it was an easy for the NC leaders to decide the conflict was outside of the coalition's mandate, as Fred0 said, they are quite fond of Roadkill but they had decided to support Smash and chose to get involved in the conflict that wasn't going to encompass them. NC is more a protectorate than an "Alliance" and Germinate is not really what the war is about, it is about resolving the bad blood between Goons and Smash. If NC got involved the issue would just drag on unresolved and it would drag more parties into the issue. Smash should have resolved the differences a long time ago but didn't. There are a lot of alliances I wouldn't care if I had unresolved issues with, Goons however are a loose cannon and are not afraid to go to ridiculous lengths over a grudge. It would have been something I would never have let degenerate to the point it did if I was leader of Smash and it is not something I would drag friends into. It is a no win scenario for the NC. Whichever option the NC takes, there will be a loser. Going to war against Goons/RA and be vulnerable to BoB could put at jeopardy many alliances and the needs of the many outweight the needs of a few. If Smash was just being invaded by a coalition of alliances just because they wanted your territory and it was unprovoked we wouldn't be having this conversation. Or you will end up with no friends left by the time it's your fault. It is true, you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs, but it is safer to go for chicken eggs rather than raptor eggs. EVE would be a pretty boring place if there were no conflicts but Smash and Goons have had issues for a long period of time and nothing has really been done to resolve the issues. That is not the fault of the other alliance members. I am sure it was not an easy or pleasant decision but I am sure they had to look at which option was in the best interest of all the members. Alliances joining a coalition would either have to give up a lot of their autonomy or largely be responsible for their own actions, I don't think it would work having everyone bound to the conflicts a single member initiates. That is the harsh reality. I doubt any BoB pet makes any meaningful decisions, that is the price you pay for being a relatively safe cog in the machine. Everything comes at a price.

But I'll help you out a little here: Was I bitter about FREGE dying? Yeah, because I was one of about %2 of the alliance that didn't bail as soon as we got attaked (lol). So actually more than being bitter towards SMASHKILL, I was bitter about the fact that after working for almost a year to help build an alliance it turned out we were still all just a bunch of noobs (see: BRUCE).
