Kiruna is a nice place, I was there 2 years ago in the summer. Was a nice experience. Especially the Mines.

Next question, I am trying to locate the building where the activities are to be held on a map. Does someone know the cross streets by it? And or is it the building in the park with the football fields? (Looking at a google map)

Thanks, that was the building I was thinking it might be.

How many ticket to the Fanfest 2008 will be sold ?
How many people attended last year?
I don't want to order and pay for hotel and planes and miss out, because the tickets are sold out.

Edited by: belzebub1 on 23/07/2008 12:46:20 In my experience from ordering last year the tickets take quite a few weeks to sell out, As such I don't think you should not worry about missing out on them Rgds

I do believe they are seperate, but you need to order an SoE ticket when ordering a FF ticket I think to actual take advantage of the program. -------

Originally by: Orange Species Just remember Euro's as you are flying outside of the EU you can get proper duty/tax free :p
Iceland is fairly unique because not only can you buy tax free when leaving the country, you can also buy tax free when entering it. There's a tax free store just before baggage claim at the airport.
Originally by: Quantum Light I was going to plan on flying back Monday afternoon, but have a question. Are shops, Blue Lagoon, sites, etc open on Sundays?
Blue Lagoon open hours, it depends on the shop but a lot of them are open during the day.
Originally by: Quantum Light How light does it get there during the day in November? I was wanting to takes some tours to the countryside the following Monday, but was wondering if there will be enough light for photos, etc.
Sunrise and Sunset for Iceland – Reykjavik, it can be cloudy, windy and rainy though.
Originally by: Freezehunter I just turned 18 and i want to participate at this year's fanfest...
Problem is i live in Romania and i have no idea how to get from Bucharest to Reikjavik...
Spent the whole day yesterday searching for a plane lol...
Any help regarding that would be appreciated...
Check which one of the package destinations are cheapest and easiest for you to get to and then book a flight there and a package of course.

Edited by: Stoehovve Scheo on 24/07/2008 23:21:47 so, just went to look for a package for evefest from Icelandic Air flight from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. They have one listed, and have a departure point of Halifax, however, no matter whether I select 3 days or any day up to the 14 days, there's no "valid dates" found :/ lol
So... why list Halifax at all?
I have sent off an email asking the travel agents handling that package deal about that very question, will update for anyone else who's in the area and is interested.
IF I get a response.

Very important question here..I'd like to know if that was a valid purchase, or if I wasted $75.00...I got an email confirming that I placed a order...but not a confirmation code.

I am looking at going this year as I have wanted to go for a few years now. Quick question though, if go and my partner goes with me should I get her a full pass or a guest pass? I read somewhere that the uest pass limits to what they can do / go, any ideas on what they cant do that a full pass member could do?
Oh and what happened at the blue lagoon last year? Sounded interesting

This year ;) I've also been planning to go for years, but the packages are a bit pricy (considering my personal economy), So I'm holding off still. Got a bit of a set back or I would have been there for the 5th. Now going through history I'm trying to find a pattern in when the schedule is. As I'd better make sure my vacation is booked, which I'd actually like to do around may every year.
So far the pattern seems very much to be centered around week 45 of the year, could this in the future maybe be a constant, I figure the airliners migth take advangtage on that too, leaving you CCP guys with even less to manage :) Also the Fest seems to be thursday to sunday [thursday 00:00 - Sunday 00:00 or later], If that's is also some form of soft constant, I'd even be able to book my fligth for the 10th. now ;) That would be ariving the day before thursday, leaving for home monday morning or something :)
Basicly could you once you're past this hassle in the fanfest section maybe be listing the general rules for starting to arrange the Fanfest? Like for instance Week 45 every year. Rules and constants are nice, they are stable.
Still waiting for ingame voice, with voice mods. |

A little update with the Sisters of Eve info would be nice, I think I might hold off booking my pass until the sisters of Eve part of it appears.
Thanks for getting the tickets up though, glad you got your troubles with the system sorted.

Yeah, it's seems like we who have bought or ticket via the link (https://store.eve-online.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=129) instead of going through the FanFest Page (https://store.eve-online.com/store/fanfest2008/default.asp) to the store haven't got any Pass Code.
Would really appreciate if somebody on CCP could solve this problem, should we just order one through https://store.eve-online.com/store/fanfest2008/default.asp or should we wait and get or codes fixed by someone in EVE Store or something? ___________________________________

hey hey
I clicked book for FF2008 tickets via the eve store and got my confirmation email :)
HOWEVER :/
on the FF page it says about the sisters of eve program and partners having access to the FF post 1800. but i cant see any purchase information about the SOE package on the website. If you choose 2 people you get a guest added but its for a full FF2008 ticket at full purchase price of $75 im confused :/
