Eve is going to be an entirely new game for me with the introduction of Shiva and I have barely gotten to know it as it is. I am really looking forward to all the new stuff. Way to Go CCP!!!

Actually, they do not. I work for the world's largest manufacturer of earth moving equipment in their home town/base, and most of our hundreds of thousands of suppliers round the world have mid year fiscal closings.

sorry for missleading you :-)
But it was said that eve gets pushed up with its graphic with Shiva. So CCP, look at that picture. (asteroid belts aorung the planets, several planets together, ... ) This is what I expect to see in Q3 2004 :-)
Be inspired !!! If you make something like that, you¦d be the godess of programming :-)

Sweet, that clears up alot of the concerns. Now only the "Q3 issue" remains, but I still that is when the gradual Shiva rollout will be finished, or when a Shiva retail version of EVE will be in stores.
And another thought about why there are alot of features that we havn't heard of in the recent news: I think CCP are doing some marketing, and the best way of doing that is to get good press. So, by buffering up a cache if new features they increase the chance of making a bang in the gaming news. If they had presented everything to the players in advance it wouldn't have given the same impact at the news sites since all the features would have trickled out anyway.

okay i;ve been around since before beta ...and knowing ccp they aren;'t good with release dates...they have a wonderfull awesome game as is now..no one can argue against that but being on time isn't thier strong point...i've gotten used to it...beta was delayed liek a year if not more so don't worry bout the future play what they have spent so much time on already ..the game is wicked as is

This link, provided by the official EVE news section on this site has some interesting stuff on Shiva, but I am surprised that CCP has this link.
There are too many annoying, unrelated pop-ups and I can't believe that CCP openly approves of a site that advertises isk in-game, in exchange for real-life $ ????

Just goes to prove that everything that CCP said prior to and just after retail release of not letting the anyone or anything allowing them to divert from their pure love of game bologna ......
We all can see since this adventure has unfolded the very same people, ideals and corporate tactics they said they hated and would steer clear of, has become goal one!
They loved it when the nerfed being able to train 2 characters at the same time, they knew that they could get people to buy into the dual accounts thereby increasing overall income, then use the lowered value of the US dollar to raise the prices for a great deal of their customers ........ bet we don't see that come back when the dollar gains ground over the Euro, lol.
Now they have their stuff all over eBay selling like hot cakes and everything we do drives the interest of others even harder so that they can rake even more dollars in ...... I myself think that this perverted part of EVE will cause it eventual demise, we have already dumped members who have decided that the making of real $$$ was more importent that playing the game and abiding by the vows and promises made to our Corp. This will become more of a cancer that will rob the game of its appeal to the true gamers vs the griefers and money grubbers. Shame on you CCP.
It don't matter in which country your in, when you see this much cash potential, even the most pure at heart will sell out their basic core values.

right now, when you buy an expansion in EQ you pay 30 dollars for an unfinished, bugged "beta" test with most the graphics recycled and the ones that are truly new so badly designed that they cause laughing fits .......where half the zones don t work not even when they already want another 30 dollars for the NEXT "expansion...." ...... seems they make an expansion every 4 to 6 months now ::coughs:: lol

the last "good" expansion EQ had was years ago..... hehe

We are about to introduce more Elite frigates to the game now. The development of Elite Cruiser has already started.
There will be four different classes:
-Point Defense Cruiser
-Patrol Cruiser
-Support Cruiser
-Battlecruiser

Actually later in that post or in another post somewhere I mentioned how much Everquest sucked.
Luclin despite having that major graphical overhaul wasn't really worth it.
So much of it was unfinished and felt way too empty. Asside from a few really pretty areas, and excessively resource intensive new character graphics, it really was a dumb purchase on my part.
Most of the truly interesting new toys we got where only available to 60+ characters... and those available to younger characters where same old, same old...
They should have at least made horses available for level 30+ characters... Not like they gave you that much of a huge bonus...
