The lack of attenuation on the sound sources has been a problem on SISI for weeks and weeks and reported multiple times (the bug hunters were fully aware of it) - theres also another issue especially with projectile weapons and projectile sentry guns/pos guns where they all play their firing sound once on the first time you see them (when not firing)... that these issues have made it to TQ is quite frankly disgraceful and they should be taking a hard look at their quality control procedures. |

The sound bug is actually the first one I've experienced in EVE that really hurts the gameplay.
But what is this crap about having several clients for multiaccounting?
I have a single instance, triplebox all the time. |

Classic QA team failure.
Sometimes one wonders if you send all your incompetent workers to the QA team instead of promptly firing them, because it's been the same **** for 8 years now. As someone said above, sound issues have been repeatedly reported on SiSi and the invisible gate activation effect bug would have been as easy to avoid as jumping a *uckin'* gate when testing the game.
Just speechless as usual. |

90% Positive: - awesome patch/mini expansion with plenty of fine tweaks and additions. Thank you and plenty of respect to all involved.
1% Neutral: - 1 parrot for some issues with launcher and inability to use it to patch multiple clients at once.
9% Supernegative: - Boot to the head for still not willing/being able to fix the neocom nerf and all the annoyances with it. No cake for you.

Thanks for the response. http://pastebin.com/wTD0jAAu
Window is just 'Errors occured, see [log file's path] for details'
Although it's a fresh install (yesterdays build), so my problem is probably more to do with how the launcher connects than with any corrupted files. I was just running the repair because it was suggested for slightly -similar problems in here. |

When I have to install an update with the launcher it says it is unable to while I have iTunes and Open Office running. Is there a reason why these programs can't be open while patching but other programs are fine? |

Does the update specifically mention those applications, or did you do trial and error to find out what to close before it continued? I'm interested to know if either iTunes or Open Office would be indexing the client for some reason. Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure, Team Special Circumstances |

My situation is different because update worked fine for me (Win 7 64 bit). But your question reminded me of one detail: update refuses to continue if EveMon is running. Is that intentional? Surely EveMon can't lock any files from Eve client? |

I didn't delve into it, but when I start the launcher and there is an update available, it ask for permission for privilege escalation, since it needs to patch stuff in locations it otherwise can't. So far, so good.
Once the patching is finished, they launcher presents the play button however instead of closing. There seems to be no privilege revocation? This is of course on a windows 7 console, so I do not have my accustomed toolset to find this out, so I might very likely be wrong. But it looks like a step back to the 1990s security model. |

Question, why the hell do people have multiple clients to patch? Why not just the one client and open it multiple times? This method works just fine for me, and as a result have - would you believe it - just one client to patch, not including Sisi. It's not rocket science is it? |

It asks me specifically to close those applications. Maybe I'll uninstall Open Office and iTunes as they are much faster to reinstall than EVE. Although I didn't think it would matter since they are in separate folders. |

Wow...love the changes. You guys did leave out one AWESOME change from the patch notes. Upon creating manufacturing jobs, when selecting the installation it now remembers the "Range" filter. Before you had to change it every time to "solar system" if you wanted to use the POS... THANK YOU, this small change has made a huge difference in making the process less annoying! +1

Thank you :CCP: for wiping all of my settings again. I appreciate the opportunity to have to re-do all 29273 shortcuts, windows and dialog boxes that I had set up just like I wanted before the "patch". Seriously guys, will you EVER test you crap before you release it? This is not the first time all the options got wiped. |

If you're on win7, 64 bit, Check if CCP has made a new folder in your %appdata%\Local\CCP\Eve
If so, do this:
Browse to %appdata%\Local \CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility
Copy the folder named "settings" from here into this folder and overwrite:
%appdata%\Local \CCP\EVE\c_progra~2_ccp_eve_tranquility
Credits go to Miss President Although according to a CCP post it should have already been fixed, but it never hurts to check.
Edit: I would link Miss Presidents' evegate profile and the CCP post, but it seems the boards don't like to parse the url tag. |

I'm sorry, but I've read the patch notes carefully 3 times and I still can't find the bit in the patch notes where it says warping a cloaked ship inside a POS force field will now decloak the ship. It didn't used to, but with this patch it now does.
Please can we have our cloaked ships inside POS forcefields back.

I'd like to say something nice about the new launcher, unfortunately I can't, at least not for the Mac version I normally use. Simply because there the new build won't start properly. (13" MacBook Pro, i5, 4GB, Intel graphics, Lion 10.7.3)
Actually I don't even see the starting screen of the launcher, instead I get a "exception" pop-up delivering a dumb (euphemism!) message about checking internet connection and restarting launcher. Internet runs and restart gives same error. What can I do?
I'm posting this here because no CCP official (apart from Spitfire's starting post) has bothered to show up in the Mac issues thread. Seems like a lack of interest to me.
Hey! We are the ones paying you, not the other way round! The least you could do was showing respect for your customers.
For the records: I'm using a windows machine as backup, launcher runs OK there, settings (after having found them) prevent pre-start screen. No problems so far. |

Devs,
When are you going to make a broadcast post about the Firewall and Stateful Packet Inspection switching causing a great many issues with those that have not been able to get online with launcher issues?
When are you going to deploy a fix that will not require SPI to be turned off and firewall exceptions for protocol inspection having to be made or firewalls being turned completely off?
People are waiting for a solution and I along with several others who have collaborated over the forums have come up with a workaround that should allow a number of people to get back online till you fix this issue.
The problem I have with any positive feedback is that the problems that people are having were mention back in January and maybe earlier when people started having issues getting on Sisi.
CCP needs to use a different protocol in order to stream updates because a large number of people such as military personnel will not have the option to turn off SPI filtering in their network due to security setups on their networks. The way that the launcher puts out updates has to be changed or you risk losing those players and those on LANs on college campuses that have no access to firewall rules for their networks.
While the majority of the players are able to get online, there are still many that are not. In some cases there will be no fix for this unless the network protocol being used is changed. |

It was never intended for ships to be cloaked inside a POS in the first place. You cannot activate the module unless you're outside the POS so why should you be able to be cloaked in it now because the mechanic wasn't working properly previously? |

Feedback: Crucible 1.5 proves that your current deployment checklists can result in around 50% interruption of service for up to 36 hours, causing untold payroll costs and loss of credibility.
Most wanted improvement: Stable patch releases. EvE - the Linux of MMOs - now with occasionally-broken installers! :P |

No it has not. It's bugged as ever.
My user preferences once again got wiped because you are just a bunch of clowns who give a **** about properly dealing with bug reports. So I give a **** ever buying your products for real life money again. And I'm telling everybody I see to stay away from playing EVE, as it's not worth it with all the hassle involved.
Even the new launcher is a ******* joke. Slow like in the 1980ies. Ever heared of P2P?
Instead you're removing manual patching... ROTFL
And wanna hear some news?
Your loser launcher requires me to confirm I want to play after having started the application.
How fun is that?

Given feedback to new patching and 1.5x version. Big problem is and you were hit by it. Someone decided to ignore old GPU settings in optins page. So everything return to "High" settings on GPU page. I had all setup to low and medium according to my average GPU installed, but new patch did revert it back.
Especially I hate it did check on Load Station Environment. I had it check off on all 6 EVE Instances.
So generally new launcher is well except that client updates should be D/L with new patcher too. But messing settings again is big step backward.
