I cant login to tranquility after I moved to new appartment 10 days ago and my IP changed
Every time I start application and enter my password I get this "connection failed" message:
Connection Timeout - The server did not respond to the client's secure-handshake request within a reasonable amount of time.
Any ideas or help?

Sounds like a firewall blocking access.

Same issue here, started after the connection to limelight was closed. Client hangs on authenticating and I have no firewall/router blocking it. Was fine before the limelight issues.

Elevate means you weren't running the command as Administrator.
Run cmd as an administrator. Goto the start menu and find the Command Prompt icon, right click and select ôRun as administrator.ö
then run the command ipconfig /flushdns
The command empties your local resolver cache. Windows builds a temporary cache of recent requests, so it doesn't have to go out asking a DNS server for everything like repeated requests. /flushdns is used for troubleshooting DNS related issues, such as if you have a negative entry preventing you from going to a newer, updated, correct entry. |

Ok I performed it but it didn't help :( Was that issue with Limelight solved by the way? Maybe thats whats causing it? |

Still no luck here either. Has anyone petitioned CCP about it? And if so what did they reply?

Well, assuming this is the same problem I'm having in the UK, and detailed in a post somewhere on this board, I petitioned early in the week.
I submitted logs and pingplotter results, checked with my ISP that they're blocking no ports, cleared caches, reinstalled the game and was again told that it was probably a problem with my router or firewall despite already having told them I was running neither.
So, currently, I'm just assuming they have no idea what the problem is. |

I reside in UK as well. at Manchester to be precise, only I have no idea who exactly is provider since I am staying in one of university student halls. had no problems before I had to move to another room though, but it seems not to be the cause

I'm in manchester too, on hornet ISP and I know other people in manchester having this problem... It seems like it must be something to do with hornet, but pingplotter shows ping gets higher when it gets onto the telia.net servers then died when it hits ccp-ic-124901-ldn-thon-s2.c.telia.net
Im not good with networking so.... I'm not sure what the problem is precisely.

Okay so we have a culprit, since I am on Hornet too. The last time I have succesfully logged in was on 18th of June, but then I had to move out and didn't play for a while. I wonder if hornet has anything to do with limelight. |

This is more interesting, as I am also on Hornet. They have claimed to block no ports in any way.
I may have to have words with them in the morning. |

I'm also on hornet as well in Manchester halls of residence. However my friend can log on in Sackville street building so it must be more precise then just the manchester network. I haven't moved room or anything new. Last time i logged on was last tue i think. |

Could those of you on Hornet please run a tracert to 87.237.38.200 and post the result here.
To do this, go to start -> run, type in "cmd" and in the black window that appears, type "tracert 87.237.38.200". -- |

I've got a 5 day old pingplotter file that I've already included in a petition which shows pretty much the same thing over 1500, 2.5 second samples, but here's one from today:

Could you try putting the following command in the cmd box:
"telnet 87.237.38.200 26000"
You should see some garbled text ending at "LIVE@ccp".
This will tell us if there is an issue with the port that EVE uses, from your computer. -- |
