Oh, the old lover / provider - dichotomy, you can also call this the alpha male / beta male - principle.
Idea is that women who want to have a family go and get themselves a weak beta male, because he is trustworthy, reliable and nice (this is, btw, the reason for so many nice guys having girlfriends / wives in spite of human mating principles!) while they keep, on a subconscious level, open for insemination by alpha men (they usually have as secret lovers).
Had this problem once as well, now I have an easy screening process to get rid of this kind of women... I just watch how quickly they want to draw me into a relationship... if this happens before the first sex, I bail out consequently.
Reason is (this may be a bit complicated to understand, so I go into greater detail here):
a) IF a woman is attracted to you and you have established a good deal of rapport (trust, comfort and compliance), she WILL sleep with you if she is a sane and healthy human being
b) IF she doesn't and requires a relationship with you to start sexual stuff, she is either nuts (in a moralistic sense, and this is a no go in the 21st century) or she isn't sexually but rather monetary or whatever attracted to you
Sounds harsh, yeah... but this is how stuff works in humans.

Okay, well I was browsing the web, and as an interesting point of note I looked up a research article one of my (Non-perverted) friends told me about when we were discussing girls, and "If you could have a real relationship with one girl who would it be" or in general being teenage guys.
Supposablely said article (which I did find) said an experiment conducted found that most women find sleeping with the general "Nerd" genre of person to be more sexually gratifying than sex with, say, a jock who would discard them at a moments notice if a more atractive girl came along.
It was an interesting article, to say the least. My teory was that the nerd is not in a great deal of contact with women, and so every relationship he strives to make the most enjoyable for both of them, I.E. that Symbiotic Relationship thing we all learn in science class. So that is why a great deal of nerds who seem like they would stay single all their lives end up getting married.
Just an interesting tidbit I think is interesting and kinda relevant to the topic.

2nd mistake.. reading too much into it.
Just start a convo and be yourself.. if that fails, watch King Kong and follow his examples.. of jumping around, grunting and throwing things around. It'll work a charm!

The very next day, DO THE EXACT SAME THING.
By the third day, she should be ****ed and will either go off on you or try to ignore you. Get her attention and quickly explain to her that everyday at this time you promise your mom/dad that you would call your grandmother to remind her to take her medication pills, but she usually ends up calling you first instead to talk about your day. HERE IS YOUR OPENING. HER GUILT WILL BE YOUR TRIUMPH. VICTORY IS WITHIN YOUR CLUTCHES.

Funny thing is that I don't think I know a lot about it... it's just stuff I usually use "out there, in the field", and basically it works. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard, depending on my state, the chakras, the state and the chakra of the women, the barkeeper... well, made most barkeepers and bouncers friends in the process, which is a nice side effect.
