so everyone is crying about how much minnie will suck after the patch, i looked at the char dates and realised the winer are all nubs from 06/07 who have no clue about minnie except that they got a fast ship and now it has a counter...
Ladies and Gents, if i may, I give you :
the 2003-2005 vaga of ultimate destiny!
5 x 220mm t2
1 x misc
1 x gistii a-type small booster
1 x invuln t2
1 x point
1 x 10mn ab
3 x gyro
2 x tracking enhancer
5 x ecm drones
rigs? well we never had them back in the day but i guess 2 falloff rigs wouldnt hurt to get barrage hitting further out.
This is how the real 0.0 roamers did it before nanos and rigs, its just been brought back to life by the speed nerf.
Pros - still fast but with a nice low sig, lower orbit speed = more hits, 3 x gyros = more dps, ab = low cap use, speed is still fast enough to avoid a lot of tracking. the gistii give you a nice extended time in combat.
Cons - Ships have more hp now than they used to so take longer to kill, you wont beat a drake, webs will kill you.
tactics - PICK YOUR TARGETS! solo cruisers and frigate gangs are easy meat for this, BC's are good fodder also (not drakes or missile feroxes), it can kill other HACs (maybe not ishtar). when fighting frigs (if they are stupid enough to swarm you) fly in a straight line and pop them as they approach

Maybe I'm just not seeing something, but looks to me like your days are numbered flying that ship in 0.0.

if you mean vs a blob (read pick your targets part), if you mean its to slow to get past a gate camp (smart pilots use scouts)

Anything with an MWD being a frigate or a nano vaga, both have to slow down to avoid overshooting and die to the tripple gyros :-)
i let you have that, since you probaly havnt been in game long enough to know what these can do, i hope dirtball reads this thread, he was a master with these.

In all honesty I'd rather fly an Ishtar and MWD away while my drones and rails pick off my target.
But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post. |

also at the op, the game climate and what you are flying against/highly likely to run into make setups from back then highly unlikely to meet with success. If this concept is to hard for you to grasp and you come back with some pick your targets bs..... well then wow is all I can say and can I recommend these glasses, they help with tunnel vision

with the settings on sisi, your not able to track this tiny little Frigs.. so well but, have fun to pop your 120m Vaga to a 20m Ceptor / Af

Wrong. With three gyro's a good vaga pilot puts out the best part of 650dps, with the ships tracking bonus, the relatively low speeds of all targets after the patch, your af's are gonna insta pop. Not to mention that under web the vaga will still equal your transverse speeds. A point to all the above that haven't yet gained the experiance to understand that theres more to fighting than orbit, f1-f6/8. Learn to play with transversals to maxmise you hit rate, the only good thing I think this nerph is gonna do is seperate the nubs that auto fly/fight ("orbit, f1-f6/8") from those that can fly/fight skillfully.
To the op i'd be inclined to remove the TE's for TC's with tracking scripts. More tracking less optimal added (means frigs can't get under your guns). But then again the standard version of the vaga will still work just its a little more vunerable.
