Just one more to add; 18) Termination of a character
A few more I can think of and I'm sure there's more ;):
19) Repairing a damaged module or ship in an NPC station 20) Starting a mission which requires a deposit and never completing it 21) Fines for smuggling (I'm assuming) |

Danari having a cry because Shadarle beat him in market PvP YGR having a cry because Ricdic mentioned his IPO was dodgy
In both cases it's pathetic.
Haha, so true.
I love that Danari gave up so quickly after killing my old POS. He never even tried finding my chain which actually had value. Or perhaps he did find it and realized he was too poor to do anything about it. |

Stationary isk who remain in wallet and never enters the economy, although e-bank is looking to change that ;)
Anyway, in eve, alot of commodities are created in a pace outstripping demand, regardless of total isk-pool ingame. Hyperinflation because of isk-pool only happens to select rare items like officer modules and most visibly, GTC's. |

Maybe you should stop shite-posting and start remote repping that dread tower that's in reinforced? You think I forgot about you ****? Eve isn't shut down and you're not in a nubcorp.

Edited by: Petter Sandstad on 30/08/2008 10:44:03 One can't use other sources of currency (barter is usually way too ineffective), so the demand do not drop. Actually, it increases as newer pilots gets more productive, which means they are able to acquire more isk. This in itself has a deflationary result, not inflationary.
Remember, do not only look at supply -- there is also something called demand.

Originally by: Praetorian I Lastly, is there a natural progression to market attention that redirects inflationary pressures? The tendancy being towards premium items where speculation and elite affects mask if not eliminate true inflation.
In RL atleast the inflation first reaches the goods most traded, which means basic commodities, food, gold and similar, etc. I suppose this is not precisely what you meant, but it is close. However, this applies less in EVE, as it is much easier and much more common to change one's set price. But in regions with few buyers, or goods that few sell and buy, the inflation will be delayed in EVE too. As in RL one might consider changing one's set price on an item one is selling every 6 months, in EVE one can change it every few minutes. Thus the avalanche of inflation moves so quickly in EVE that it has limited effects. A few weeks and it will likely have gone through every price in EVE. In RL you need typically 5 to 10 years for it to reach every price.
