How much ISK did the alliance throw at helping Goons buy an extra temporary account for two months?

The tossed about number is that 8000+ goons voted mittens into his chairman seat again this year (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/alliance/Goonswarm_Federation).

However, this is incorrect as you can figure at least two (2) out of every three (3) characters is on the same account and the voting is, of course, tallied by accounts and not by characters to prevent abuse (heh).

Given this, that would make it about ~3000+ accounts being able to vote (excluding our newbees in this total, obviously) in Goonswarm Federation with another 1-2000 accounts being added from our allies in the ClusterFuck Coalition.

So, what I ask of you, dear reader, is to get as upset as possible that 8000 goons voted Mittani into his chairman position and post as unreasonably as possible while deriding this post.

We could always hope there's some breakdown on "Alliance X voted like this" stats released. And more detailed "age" stats, seeing as there was a lot of "new" pilots voting.

I personally am looking forward to having 6 months of alts paid for by goons to bypass any security checks of new accounts. Totally worth it too.

I didn't vote for him, but he finished 10th, I believe. Well ahead of every :lol: candidate. Xenuria got 200 votes.

best i can come up with it that

1. Goons used buddy system to have a spare character for a month to vote with

2. Goons have other characters not in the Goons. IE for highsec Incursion running

3. The was some natural voting from people not affilated with him. No know a few who did and have nothing to do with the Goons

4. Other Alliances voted for Mittans as they believe that his being in charge will be benificial to them.

Pretty sure that Riverini only got votes from the 100% cream of the crop Goon Haters. I would count this as a joke candidate, and he came in 16th

well tbh goons made about 8k 30 day alts and put on two plexes so they could vote... kodos to them for caring that much about eve to coordinate such a result... i am glad that atleast one of my candidates made it into the top 7.

I don't think you understand this thread, friend.

Not entirely unexpected. Goons have a lot of sway in EVE politics.

Otherwise, mittens' reign came out with some good changed in EVE. If the goons hadn't put a bounty on my shiny new T2 ship just after I was able to buy the thing, I'd probably have voted for him as well.
Goon interdiction lead to me making a lot of ISK during the breaks in it.
And goons are good to their newbies, unlike most of the rest of EVE.

I do not think Mittani won the election. It is Goons (and friends) that won it. Goons and their friends achieve all the goals they set for themselves and it pisses off everyone because they cannot do it as Goons do it. It is true that most people will always be jealous of others success. It has always been like this and always will. Stop whining about Goons are this and that...they are on top of the game and provide more entertainment in the Eve universe then any other alliance. This isn't the only game I've seen them in. They played WWII Online for a while too back in the day...and in that game all they did was screw up everyone's ops...they played both sides in order to achieve this. Same thing with Eve back 4-5 years ago...they said flat out their intent was to wreck the game. Were these the same groups of folks we see today in the Goons?
