Im currently bored with the 3 each race gets, its still the least of all classes, anyone else think another battleship in each races arsenal would be a good idea?
Dont have to be tier 4, could be under the domi/phoon/geddon/scorp class or in between apoc/pest/raven/mega ?
Just want some more variety really

Yeah that;s a good idea give all the races a ew battle ships exept caldari and caldari one more gank one

CCP would have to do some fairly unique designs to squeeze in another BS, or else it'd be just like the old ones with a new model. Just for an idea though...
Gallente: EWar BS, bonii to damps and optimal range
Amarr: Ewar/Drone BS, bonii to drone damage and TD's
Minnie: Missle BS (5-6 missle points with utility highs), maybe bonii to cruise damage and range? toughy
Caldari: Close range damage BS with bonii to dmg and tracking
They'd fit, kind of fill 'holes' so to speak, but balance would be fun ( ) and they borrow heavily on the already existing BS's of other races, so...

Ever checked Destroyers and Battlecruisers? And to your question, no. I don't think we need another BS before we get a 3rd BC or a 2nd dessie at least ;) |

Actually that's not a bad idea. Caldari lack a soloable battleship (no a scorp won't work it lacks the speed, scan res and DPS), and a TD battleship or damp ship would be sweet. TP battleship...? Well... if it had a decent range bonus + arty bonuses maybe it would be a good sniper support? |

This isn't a bad idea. I just had a sudden mental image of a Raven w/ a Minmatar stamp painted over the Caldari one. Or at least a junkyard version of the Raven.

The last time new Battleships were added, the Caldari got the only real addition with a Sniper-Battleship.
Gallente, Minmatar and Amarr got sadly only Tier 3 BS which are variations of the Tier 2 ones.

Caldari could use a closerange blasterboat with shield tank, and minmatar an armourtanking missile bs. Can't say much for the other races.

ad prefer shieldtanking missile BS for amarr...cant tank BS;)

Caldari blasterboat will never happen. . .rails, missles, ew - I think they are covered.
The Minmatar already do have an armorr tanking missle boat. . .the typhoon.

I vote we fix black Ops and make increase Marauders sensor strength before adding more bs.
But seriously, if someone wants to spend half a bil to fly a BS that does a little more bs and few extra tidbits, at least give it BS sensor strength. It will still die to 2 torp ravens.

I would like t3 battlecruisers FIRST.... Reason: destroyers have a specific role which they fill nice.... destroy frigs and haunt their dreams.... I would like some more battlecruisers but just my thought.... (However if the t2 dessies look as cool as the current ones i might be willing to put them first...

The caldari bout shoud be sth with 7 med slots and decent dps. Reason: with 7 slots you can finaly field a nice tank and tackle( 2 invus shield booster cap booster mwd point web). It could have less low slots (sth in line of 3 maybe 4) and hybrid turrets bonuse.

Gall: Uh... Railboat?
Caldari: Tank platform with drone love?
I don't know, gal and cal are a lot harder to do without "breaking the mold". Gal doesn't really have any sniper bonused ships, and caldari doesn't have any tank bonused or drone ships.

More variation in the game the better, in my opinion.
What i'd really like to see is the ability for producers to develop custom designs, with limited variations on ship models which already exist.

Battleship that gets a reduction to gang mods (fitting) and a tanking bonus. Thinking passive armor/shield resist bonuses.

Or maybe a new series of faction battleships (and ships in general)?
Pirate factions especially have a lot of potential as they're meant to have a focus that isn't found in the regular empire ships, would love a blood raider abaddon / new crazy sansha spiked monster / massive angel sniper boat etc.

you know, the rokh CAN be fit with blasters and do a damn good job with them....and has a nasty shield tank....

Avoiding the creation of BS sized command ships / Superhacs is why they didn't go that roue last time. Yeah the mauraders have their issues and the black ops just generally suck, but thats why they went the route they did.
We already have command ships.

Well, I can only come up with one missing battleship, and this would be a Khanid missile/armortank design.
Tough I'm still ****ed they changed Khanid. The Nightmare is way too expansive, to use it outside empire.

Having a ship class to battleships as battlecruisers are to cruisers and destroyers are to frigates would be epic. But not balanced.
