The EVE Online: Empyrean Age 1.1.1 patch will be deployed this Tuesday, 30th September. During the deployment Tranquility will be down from 11.00 to 16.00 GMT.
Empyrean Age 1.1.1 consists of critical changes to Jita specifically in terms of autopilot settings and world shaping. There are also other changes and fixes relating to Science & Industry, Corporation and Alliance, User Interface and EVE Voice, Mail & Chat. Patch Notes are now available, updates to the notes may be added should any further items be cleared through the Quality Assurance process. These updates will be highlighted with [/green]green text[/green].
It is advised that all players set a long skill in training prior to the patch deployment.

An Auto-Move feature has been added to the login process. If you are trying to log into a system that currently has more people in it than the dynamic cap (see above), you will be given the option of moving yourself to a neighbouring system.
Interesting.

Still waiting on that nano fix. And either you never test anything before you release it, or you need to update the "In Testing" page.

Sounds like it'll only ever be an issue if the system they logged off in is massively overloaded (ala Jita) - for that to be a problem they'd have to log in to a system next to the cynojammed system that is massively overloaded. And if they were able to arrange that by gathering massive numbers in that system (in which case having a capital or two slip into your jammed system is the LEAST of your worries) i'd imagine it being classed as an exploit or such.
And personally I say if its that important of a system you should have sufficient defenses to hold off a capital or two - I don't see being able to use this to bring entire cap fleets in - that would DEFINETLY be classed as an exploit

The patch notes themselves contain the answer to your question:
"At this time only Jita has this cap set."
Therefore, it doesn't apply to any system where capital ships could be situated in the first place.

I like this patch
May I ask what CCP is doing to address the lag outside of Jita, specifically the Dodixie hub and surrounding solar systems which at peak times are unplayable due to lag.
Originally by: CCP Prism X Yeah, and while we're at it we can create a controlled environment around account hacking and credit card fraud and all the other EULA breaches..

If there is a repeat of a J1V1 scenario, where the number of players trying to get into a system is in 4 figures, they may add a temp player cap in the system or systems surrounding it to stop nodes collapseing. There have been a few other occasions where they added a temp player cap. I do not think its going to be Jita forever and no other system in eve.
The other thing was if you are agressed, would it let you automove outside of system? E.G Somebody tackles a titan, all of a sudden 1000+ players from all over eve come to join in (this has happened before). If a temprory cap is added by a Gm to stop the node crashing, then the titan pilot might go "stuff this" and logoff and relogin to take advantage of automove. --

"StacklessIO or: How We Reduced Lag" dev blog and discussion thread.
StacklessIO should have a positive impact on your playing experience, no matter where you are in the EVE universe and no matter what you are doing. In addition we have started upgrading to native 64 bit code and adding memory.

Edited by: ChaseTheLasers on 27/09/2008 00:18:21 What about this (Too damaged to undock). It has only appeared since the last patch.
If it's not a bug, then it needs seriously looking into for the reasons covered by Backdaft and others in there.

Wonderful patch notes!
Autopilot options to avoid specific systems/constellations. Great!
Reprocessing window fix so that it is possible to see only those items which are going to be reprocessed. Great!
Login-option that it is possible now to login into other systems when the original system is overcrowded and capped. Great!
Really goooood. Especially good to see is that CCP listened to the complains and suggestions from their players and made a reply to fix the not-so-well-done stuff.

Is this referring to when you're looking at the starmap (F10) and and then you jump to another system and as a result, the starmap is stuck?

I would like a Dev to answer this please.
What happens to supercapitals that need to login? i'm hopping they get some kind of priority?
#1 yes i would prefer to being relocated than wtfpwn by logging in a lagged out system. #2 i would hate to be relocated somewhere with no bridges. #3 do WE have an option to choose? Or is the choice forced upon us. Example of what i mean: -do we choose which system? -can we simply refuse and stay logged off? -does it just force us and we login somewhere else?
ALSO: If a supercapital chooses to be moved... where does it appear in the system? On top of station? Random planet/belt? Random SS? Would sure suck to appear somewhere you get tackled and then killed...

I know, and is was a joke.. But I do believe System Caps should never be used in 0.0.

We have a new framework build from transgaming that will be going out with this patch and should fix this issue.
I will check why it is not in the patch notes.
