yes, those cheeky nano freighters. a hundred million ton flying brick literally CANING IT along so fast at a mind boggling 100m/s your bullets just can't catch up!!!
I mean us indy pilots are literally THROWING OUR RATTLES OUT OF THE PRAM at the future inability to nano-fit the badger.
/Off Topic: Just wanted to say thanks for this. Funniest zinger I've read all day, brought tears to my eyes. Truth articulated with humour.
/On Topic: I think industrialists sorely needed this lovin'. While I don't do it myself, I'd certainly not begrudge an expansion that makes the game more enjoyable for those who work hard so I can mission / pew pew. Good onya, CCP.

Madam, That is just an awesome response. As the father of twin boys myself with a Grandmother that spoils them rotten this statement just rings so true it's scary and funny all at the same time.
Reminds me of an incident last night where an alliance member entered local and asked if anyone was ratting. 2 people replied in the affirmative (system has 16 or so belts), one of them being me, he then exclaimed about not being able to find a system that wasn't "reserved". This struck me as quite odd and I replied to the effect that "reserving" a system for yourself to rat in was for the people that never learned to play nice and share with the other children when they were younger.
Anyway, thanks for the laugh

Ummm I still donŠt understand why I am a carebear. I mine in 0.0 and haul stuff to empire. Thats game enough in itself. How is escaping people shooting at you worse than shooting at people who are afk and canŠt shoot back at you?
Furthermore, why is carebear a dirty word? Carebears work hard to make the world a better place for everyone. I mean read this:
Originally by: wikipedia Friend Bear is a kind and friendly bear who shows what it means to be a good friend. She is orange with two intertwined smiling flowers on her tummy.
Showing what it means to be a good friend? Smiling tummy flowers? I for one would love to have them come down from their big happy cloud fortress more often.

Of those 90% "expansions" included hundreds of nerfs to protect you carebears in your little sandbox. I for one welcome the speed nerf so you lazy Industrialist that autopilot your freighters in high sec will be that much easier of targets!! Yes it is still possible to kill you lazy ****s.
I think it is funny that all the carebear tears end up coming back to haunt them. The very thing they whine for ends up biting them in the ****ing as....can you guys say gate guns.

Those ships and modules you fly with don't come under a Christmas tree in stockings, industry is a major part of the game because without industry you have nothing to fly.
The "carebear" side of EVE has been long neglected and has needed a major spice up. I got nothing out of FW but there are indirect benefits of an expansion.
EVE expansions are largely just content upgrades, there is typically not a whole lot of content in them and even though they are free, I'd rather pay to have a good deal of content added rather than paying nothing but getting very little.

Couple of things i'd like to say here:
1. To all the carebears in this thread that keep saying industry is PvP as well: it's not. By PvP people in eve mean combat. It's only with the recent burst of more bears joining EVE that they have started twisting this word to fit their own actions. In the future instead of saying PvP, please say tradecombat or industrialwars.
Before this first point gets smacked: I'm not saying the concept PvP isn't industry, im saying in eve people mean combat, eg shooting ships. Otherwise you can claim everything in eve is pvp. Like jumping your shuttle into Jita is PvP, cus you're basically generating more lag preventing people from fighting efficiently bla bla.
2. I'm not against an industrial patch. They deserve some love as well. What i am against is the fact that it is mostly a bearpatch meaning it contains hardly any stuff that's gonna drive industrialists to venture into more dangerous space or actions. All this patch is gonna do is make high sec bearing more appealing with brighter newer features. -------------- I R Not Completely Amazing, But I R Mostly Amazing |

This is incorrect. In ≡v≡ PvP means player versus player, and can be done in a number of ways.
Quote: Otherwise you can claim everything in eve is pvp.
Guess what? Everything in ≡v≡ is PvP (except maybe missions, but they have some PvP elements thrown in too). That's what makes ≡v≡ a full-PvP game.

Reread my post.I didn't say industry isn't PvP.
I'm saying it is, because you can consider nearly every action in EVE as PvP since it will have an effect on other players.
But in EVE when people talk about PvP, they mean combat. This is the case in pretty much every mmo.
Bears are using the term pvp everywhere now to justify their career as being pvp as well.
When people say they are "going to pvp a bit", most people assume combat, and not docking in a station and changing your buy orders. -------------- I R Not Completely Amazing, But I R Mostly Amazing |

It may be the case in pretty much every MMO, but not in ≡v≡. That's what makes it different.

It's exactly the same in EVE. You bears are just trying to call your own career PvP to justify it as 'combat', which its not, because all you do is mine roids, dock, and make sell orders with hardly any interaction with the rest of EVE eating up precious bandwidth causing lag :)

Do you know, i don't think i've ever had lag mining or trading. On the otherhand, i experience lots of it pvping.
If anything it's the pvpers who should leave, as they clearly cause the most lag

lol PvP tears. PvP is dependant of carebears, or rhater, industrialists. And most folk actually do both.

You see, I did, and it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong. PvP in ≡v≡ extends to more than blowing stuff up, even in every-day, non-conceptual, "just as a word" use.
Quote: It's exactly the same in EVE. You bears are just trying to call your own career PvP to justify it as 'combat', which its not
…and you would know this if you actually played the game and looked at the conversations going on (which, incidentally, would allow you to avoid making as uninformed statemens as the in that last quote). No, the bears do not justify their careers as combat. Neither do the industrialists or the traders. The latter two, however, do call their activities PvP (which is not the same thing as combat).
So I think I'll fall back on a good old tu quoque: how about if you play the game, or otherwise STFU and stop posting.
